What
does the Bible say?
SATAN
IS CALLED "THE PRINCE OF TYRUS"
In
the book of Ezekiel, Satan is called "THE PRINCE OF
TYRUS" meaning "PRINCE OF TYRANNY."
This
title as rendered in the GREEK is "TEITAN", as
computed above. Thus, "THE SON OF PERDITION"
bears Satan's number even as THE SON OF GOD bears his
Father's name. God has given many ways by which we may
identify this power.
HOW
TO TRANSLATE THE HEBREW & GREEK ALPHABET
NUMBERS AND COME UP WITH 666
"In
both Hebrew and Greek each letter of the alphabet corresponds to a
number - the first nine letters correspond to 1 through 9, the
next nine to 10 through 90, and the last few letters to the
hundreds. The number of a word or name is the sum of the
numerical equivalents of its letters."
"In
Jewish interpretation, gematria (the Hebrew word derives from the
Greek word "geometria", which underlies English
'geometry') is a system of deducing the sod ('secret') of a text
by positing a meaningful connection between words whose numbers
are either identical or related by simple arithmetic.
Example:
in rabbinic literature, God is sometimes called the 'Place' ('Makom').
Why this should be is not evident, so Gematria explains it in this
way: the letters of 'YHVH' yud, heh, vav and heh are equivalent to
10, 5, 6, and 5. The sum of the squares of these four
numbers is 186, which is the same as the number of "Makom'-men,
kuf, vav, mem (40 + 100 + 6 + 40)."

What
is the official title of the pope of Rome? From the Sunday
Visitor, April 18, 1915 "The letters inscribed in the Pope's
Miter are these, "'Vicarius Felii Dei', which is LATIN for
'Vicar of the Son of God'.
In
the DOUAY VERSION of the Bible, which is the Catholic version, we
find this footnote regarding the 18th verse of Revelation 13:
"The numeral letters of his name shall make up this

that we know that the number is in his name, and we know what that
name is, let us read that 18th verse and then see what we find by
taking the numeral letters of the name Vicarius Filii Dei , Verse
18 - "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding

The
Antichrist & The Tribulations

We
are living in the End Times - The rapture of the church is near.
A large segment of the Christian community seems to be living
under an illusion that the rapture of the church will take place
before anyone tastes even a little bit of difficulty and
tribulation!
LET
ME SAY CLEARLY THAT THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE FALLACY AND
UNSCRIPTURAL TEACHING!
At
the onset however, let me clarify that I believe in a
pre-tribulation rapture and that the Church of Jesus Christ WILL
NOT go through the Great Tribulation, written of in the Book of
Revelation! In fact, there are three Tribulation Periods spoken of
in the Bible.
The
FIRST TRIBULATION began on the
day of Pentecost and the devil has been tribulation and
persecuting the Church ever since! This first tribulation
period will conclude when the last gentile is saved by the
Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ returns in the FIRST
STAGE of his coming!
THE
SECOND TRIBULATION is that period
of seven years known as "Jacob's Troubles" or "Daniels
70th Week" and also the "Great Tribulation."
This
will be a time when God outpours His wrath on the Anti-Christ
(also known as the Anti-Christ, The Beast and 666) and a wicked
world!
The
anti-Christ will rule and force every person to accept the MARK OF
THE BEAST, the number 666 imprinted on their body, generally
thought to be on the forehead or hand. Without taking this
number of the beast, 666, you will not be able to buy or sell.
But
remember, taking the Mark of the Beast takes away your right to
enter the Kingdom of Heaven. This is why it is so important
that you prepare your heart and life for the Rapture of Jesus
Christ and be included in the Rapture, taken to heaven to be with
God.
You
must accept Jesus Christ into your heart (John 3:16). Read How
Can I Be Saved.
The
THIRD TRIBULATION begins when the
feet of Jesus Christ stand on the Mount of Olives in the second
stage of His return. (Zechariah 14:4) The resurrected
glorified Son of God and Saviour will then mount a white horse
(Rev.elation19:11) and ride out to the Valley of Jehosophat, to
conquer the Anti Christ. This I refer to as THE
ANTI-CHRIST'S TRIBULATION.
Jesus
Christ will destroy the anti-Christ, the filthy beast, 666, with
the breath of his mouth and the anti-Christ will be no more.
Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
WITHOUT
THE MARK OF THE BEAST YOU CAN'T BUY OR SELL
Who
is this Beast that forces the
world to worship him and receive his Mark?
Identifying
the Beast of Bible Prophecy doesn't take a degree in theology or
biblical languages. A King James Version of the Bible and some
careful comparison of Bible passages will do.
The
Bible clearly depicts the Beast as an enemy of God and His
government. Through an
understanding of prophetic symbols, we may identify him. Examining
Revelation 13:1-10 we find that the Beast:
Rises from the sea.
Resembles a leopard, a bear, and a lion.
Has seven heads with ten crowned horns.
Receives a deadly wound in his head, which eventually heals.
Speaks blasphemous words.
Rules and oppresses for 42 prophetic months or 1260 years.
Receives authority and power from the dragon, identified in
Revelation 12:9 as the devil.
This
Beast sounds like a world-class monster! Who is he? Who is
the anti-christ?
An
important principle in understanding Bible prophecy is to allow
the Bible to interpret itself. For instance, the Beast is seen
rising from the sea, which in prophetic language means peoples,
multitudes, nations, and tongues (Revelation 17:15). By
application, this power would arise from a densely populated area.
Next,
we turn to the Old Testament prophet, Daniel, for some help in
understanding what the lion, the bear, and the leopard represent.
In Daniel, chapters 2 and 7, we find a description of world
superpowers in succession: Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and an
unnamed fourth power. In each chapter the same nations are
represented, but with different symbols. In chapter 7 they are
represented as a lion, a bear, a leopard, and a beast with ten
horns.
By
comparing Daniel's vision with John's, we find a ten-horned beast
in both visions with a similar description. The successor of
Greece was the Roman Empire. Is this the ten-horned Beast of
Daniel, chapter 7 and Revelation, chapter 13 ? Partially.
THE
BEAST IS THE EMPEROR'S CHILD
The
old Roman Empire does not exist today, but an entity which evolved
from it does - Constantine's child, the Roman Catholic Church. Its
popes still believe they hold spiritual authority over the entire
world. The fourth beast is papal Rome. The remaining symbols will
verify this.
WHY
DOES REVELATION 13:1 DESCRIBE BABYLON, PERSIA & GREECE TO
DESCRIBE PAPAL ROME?
Why
does Revelation 13:1 use the descriptions of Babylon, Persia, and
Greece to describe papal Rome? Daniel saw the lingering influence
of the first three empires: "As concerning the rest of
the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives
were prolonged for a season and a time" (Daniel
7:12).
How
did papal Rome resemble Greece, Persia, and Babylon? Greek
philosophy seeped into the teachings of the church. The Emperor
Constantine practiced a Persian form of Sun worship known as
Mithraism.
When
he made Christianity the religion of the Roman Empire, he
legislated the veneration of Sunday to unite his pagan and
Christian subjects. The papacy wholeheartedly embraced the new
"Lord's day." Eventually, a death decree was passed
against those who would not comply, like the decree of
Nebuchadnezzar on the Babylonian plains of Dura.
WHAT
DO THE SEVEN HORNS REPRESENT?
The
seven horns were seven tribes who made up the Western Roman Empire
and whose kings gave the papacy its political strength. There had
been ten tribes, but three were destroyed and plundered by the
papacy when they refused to obey its mandates (Daniel 7:8).
What
were the Beast's great words of blasphemy? Pope Leo XIII said of
himself and his papal predecessors, "We hold upon the earth
the place of God Almighty." The popes and the
priests they ordain claim power to forgive sins.
The
Bible teaches that it is blasphemous for a mere man to claim this
divine prerogative (Mark 2:7). Yet, the modern papacy, which is so
readily admired by the world, still claims this power. John Paul
II reprimanded Catholics for accepting the "widespread idea
that one can obtain forgiveness directly from God," and
exhorted them to confess more often to their priests.
The
papacy boldly claims divine infallibility. During the ages of
papal supremacy, countless millions of sincere Christians, who
dared to question this claim, were eliminated.
The
iron rule of the papacy continued until she received her deadly
wound in 1798 when Napoleon's army captured and exiled the pope.
This was exactly 1260 years (42 prophetic months) from the year
538 when Vigilius, Bishop of Rome, put the papacy into political
power in Western Europe.
THE
BEAST MAKES A COMEBACK
The
Beast Will Make a Comeback
"And
I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly
wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the
beast". (Revelation 13:3)
From
its humbling blow 200 years ago, the papacy has made an
astonishing comeback. Great nations of the world now send
ambassadors to the Vatican, and their leaders seek audiences with
the Pope.
NO
PRIEST, CHURCH or PASTOR CAN REMOVE OUR OBLIGATION TO FOLLOW GOD'S
WORD
The
re-emergence of the papacy in world politics is no human
accomplishment. The Bible clearly states, "...and the
dragon [the devil] gave him his power, and his seat, and great
authority" (Revelation 13:2). No other explanation can be
given for the charismatic return of the papacy to world
prominence, nor the power it will hold when "all that
dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not
written in the book of life..." (Revelation 13:8).
Many
world leaders believe the modern papacy bears no resemblance to
the ancient papacy. The history of papal persecutions is
considered a relic of the dark ages for which even John Paul II
has apologized. Yet, the Bible predicts that the world will be
forced - on pain of death - to acknowledge the Bishop of Rome's
unscriptural authority over every man's conscience and over the
Word of God. (Revelation 13:8, 11, 12).
DOES
THE BIBLE REVEAL WHO IS THE ANTI-CHRIST?
There
are many sincere Catholics who serve God to the best of their
knowledge as taught by the Roman Catholic priesthood. Yet, today,
God is seeking to enlighten all His children to the truths in the
Bible, whatever faith they hold. No church, priest, or pastor can
remove our obligation to follow God and His Word.
The
Bible reveals that the papacy will not accomplish its return to
religious supremacy without assistance. To aid in the papacy's
quest for worldwide dominance comes a second beast (Revelation
13:11). Described by John as lamblike, it manifests Christian
principles and works deceptive miracles to "prove" that
worshiping the Beast is worshiping God! (Revelation 13:11-14.)
Then, as if her "proof" is not enough, she will force
the world to accept the authority of the papacy.
WHO
IS THE BEAST ANTICHRIST 666?
The
Beast with the Split Personality. Who is this lamblike
beast who will speak and act like a dragon? How will this
beast enforce the religious and political supremacy of the papacy?
CLUES
TO IDENTITY OF THE SECOND BEAST ARE IN REVELATION CHAPTER 13
We
are given ample clues as to the identity of the second beast of
Revelation, chapter 13.
1.
In contrast to the first beast, it comes from the earth, or from
an unpopulated region of the world.
2. Its horns, the symbols of its authority, are lamblike or
gentle.
3. Although it begins like a lamb, it ends as a dragon.
4. It has the political power to force the inhabitants of
the world to worship the first Beast and to
receive his Mark.
WHERE
WILL THE ANTI-CHRIST COME FROM?
Only
one nation fits this description: The United States of America.
What other nation has emerged from a previously unpopulated area
and championed the Christian causes of freedom and representative
government like the United States? And, what other nation has the
political power to force its agendas, through economic boycott or
sheer military strength, like the United States?
One
hundred years ago, Protestantism was so strong in American
politics that no one believed the Vatican and the United States
would ever cooperate in world affairs. But recent history bears a
far different story. Public outcries from Protestants about
exchange visits between the U.S. and the Vatican are now strangely
absent. Instead, conservative Catholics and Protestants are allied
in a culture war against the advocates of abortion, same-sex
marriage, and pornography.
The
administration under former President Ronald Reagan openly admits
to secret agreements with the Vatican to bring down European
Communism. For the United States - the most Protestant nation in
the world - and the Vatican, no historical impediment remains for
their cooperation in enforcing the Mark of the Beast.

SEAT NUMBER 666 IN THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT
WHO
IS THE ANTI-CHRIST - WHO WILL FILL THE SEAT 666?
The
Vacant Seat Number 666 in the European Parliament
Report
on the opening of the Fifth Elected Parliament of Europe in
Strasbourg and its occupancy of the new Parliament Buildings:
Ian R.K: Paisley, M.P., M.E.PThe recently elected Fifth Parliament
of Europe met on Tuesday, 20th July, 1999, in its new glass
building which cost the taxpayers of Europe an as yet uncalculated
sum of billions of Pounds. The first meeting, due to begin at
10.00 a.m., did not start until 10.30 because the amplification
system, which cost millions of Pounds, was defective. No doubt
more defects in this Crystal Palace will be manifested in the days
to come.
Incidentally,
the Members of the European Parliament had no say whatsoever in
where the building was to be located, what its design was to be,
what amount of money was to be spent on it, or how it was to be
furnished.
The
French Government forced it both upon Members of Parliament and
upon the Governments of European Union countries, Germany and the
United Kingdom being made to foot the exorbitant bill. These two
countries are Europe's pay slaves.
The
prophetic significance of the European Union has been revealed as
the saga unfolds.
First,
the sign which it chose as its symbol was the Woman riding the
Beast. This comes from a prophecy in Revelation 17. The depiction
of the harlot woman was reproduced on the centenary stamp of the
European Union, in a huge painting in the Parliament's new
building in Brussels, and by a huge sculpture outside the new
European Union Council of Ministers Office in Brussels.
The
new European coinage, the Euro, bears the same insignia. The Tower
of Babel has been used on the posters emanating from Europe - a
truly suggestive prophetic sign.
Now,
a massive Crystal Palace tower (officially called the Tower
Building) houses the Fifth Parliament of Europe.
It
is certainly a building of the Space Age. The seats of its massive
hemicycle are designed like the crew seats in the Star Trek space
machines. There are 679 of them - but wait for it!
While
these seats are allocated to Members, one seat remains unallocated
and unoccupied. The number of that seat is 666. The relevant
section of the seating-plan provided to each Member reads as
follows:

Today
this scripture is being fulfilled before our very eyes.
The
Antichrist's seat will be occupied. The world awaits his full and
final development. The Lord will destroy him by the spirit of His
mouth (the Word of God) and by the brightness of His coming (2
Thessalonians 2:8). The coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

WHAT
MUST I DO
TO BE SAVED?
Jesus
said, "Come unto Me all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
Yes,
my dear friend, God is still in the business of setting men and
women free from their sins, sorrows, heartbreaks, fears and
troubles. In this age of frustrations, nervous tensions and
mental collapses, Jesus Christ is still granting peace to the
troubled, joy to the discouraged, strength to the weary and
healing to the sick!
HOW
CAN I BE SAVED?
1
- You MUST admit that you are a sinner
The
Bible says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the
glory of God." (Rom. 3:23)
"All we like sheep have
gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord
hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all." (Isaiah 53:6)
2
- You
MUST believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that Jesus died
on the cross, was buried and rose again from the dead.
"That
whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal
life. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that
believeth not is condemned already." (John 3:15,18) "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My word,
and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and
shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto
life." (John 5:24)

The
Bible says, "except ye repent, ye shall all

"Whosoever
shall confess Me before men, him shall the Son of man confess
before the angels of God: But he that denieth Me before men shall
be denied before the angels of God." (Luke 12:8, 9)
HOW
DO I INVITE
JESUS CHRIST INTO MY LIFE?
Pray
to God, a prayer - from your heart.
Tell
Him that you are a sinner and that you need forgiveness.
Tell him that you believe Jesus Christ died for your sins.
Tell him that you are willing to change, to turn away from sin.
Ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and life and be your
personal Saviour.
"But
as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons
of God, even to them that believe on his name." (John 1:12)
"Therefore
if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2
Corinthians 5:17)
If

There
are four significant signs that show us where we stand today in
relation to then end times and our Lord's soon return,
namely:

SIGN
#1 - THE SICK CONDITION OF OUR PLANET
Mankind
is groaning under the terrible weight of sin and condemnation.
Satan - the enemy of God and man - has bound the human race with
shackles of rebellion, unbelief, fear, torment, lust, greed,
hatred and perversion! It was Adam's acquiescence to the
Evil One's lying temptation that brought sickness and death
(spiritual and physical) upon the human race.
The
Bible states: "For the earnest expectation of the creature
waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the
creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason
of Him who hath subjected the same in hope. Because the
creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of
corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in
pain together until now."
"And
not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of
the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for
the adoption, to wit (that is to say), the redemption of our
body." (Romans 8:19-23)
People
everywhere are waiting for the 'MANIFESTATION OF THE SONS
OF GOD'! What does that mean? Six billion
people are looking for an escape from the emptiness, fear,
torment, sickness and bondage in which they live.
THE
ENTIRE WORLD IS WAITING FOR US - GOD'S CHILDREN TO BE SO
FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT WE CAN FREE THEM FROM THE TYRANNY
AND LIES OF THE DEVIL AND HIS EMISSARIES.
Don't
believe for a moment, that the millions lost in sin and bound by
evil spirits of occultism, superstition, false religion, satanic
oppression and sexual perversion are happy in that state! No
one enjoys being in slavery to witchcraft, fear, torment and evil
spirits.
Oh,
some are sufficiently deceived to live in a fool's paradise
having convinced themselves that everything is A-Okay, but the
opposite is true. If everything is all right, why do so many
rock musicians die of drug overdoses and commit suicide? Why
do many Hollywood stars die of alcoholism, suicide and drug
overdoses? And why do wealthy, successful people - who
seem to have everything going for them - take their own lives?
The
Bible says, "But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when
it cannot rest, bringing forth mire and dirt. There is no peace
saith my God to the wicked." (Isaiah 57:20-21)
Our
enemy is not flesh and blood, but Satan himself and all his demons
that tempt, deceive, coerce, inhibit, afflict, torment, steal and
kill! Our battle is with the devil - not with human
beings, however he does use people to do his bidding! The
devil must have his emissaries & ministers, to do his evil
work.
And
what of the Hindu extremists constantly fighting the Muslims in
India and the Seiks battling the Hindus? And the (political)
ungodly Roman Catholic IRA killing the (political) 'Christian-in-name-only' Protestants and vice versa?
And
if the pagan are so happy in their religious life, why are there
so many 'holy jihads'? Two examples: Muslim
Iran against Muslim Iraq in a seven year war that saw one million
men die, and at present Islamic extremists terrorizing and
butchering hundreds of their own people in Algeria?
THEY
DO NOT KNOW GOD and have not been
changed by His mighty power. Anyone who has been converted
to Christ, being born again by the Word of God and the Holy
Spirit, would certainly not be waging 'holy wars'
against their fellowmen. The only warfare that we are
commanded to fight is the 'Good Fight of
Faith'"
HOW
DO WE FIGHT THE DEVIL?
The
Bible says, "Satan, your adversary, goeth about like a
roaring lion, seeking who he may devour, whom resist in the
faith..." (1 Peter 5:9) We resist him by serving Jesus to
the best of our ability; by living a holy and righteous life,
preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, healing the sick and casting
our devils!
The
Scripture says, "For the weapons of our warfare are not
carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong
holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that
exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into
captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;" (2
Corinthians 10:4-5)
In
our search for more land to conquer, new technologies to improve
our living standards, and the pursuit or more wealth, man has
engaged in wars, enslavement, violence and pollution which has
raped our environment, land, water and air.
Our
Planet is groaning under the terrible weight of the awful harvest
of mankind's sins of rebellion, greed, hatred, violence and
slavery!
In
the beginning, after the fall of our first parents, THE ENTIRE
HUMAN RACE was plunged into sin, fear, sickness & death! God
immediately placed a curse upon the earth - "And unto Adam
He said, Because thou hast harkened unto the voice of thy wife,
and hast eaten of the tree of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou
shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow
shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life". (Genesis
3:17)
OUR
PLANET is struggling to stay alive and is groaning under this
burden! The 'second law of thermodynamics' began
after the fall and continues today with aging, deterioration and
decay. Only the return of Jesus Christ will salvage the earth.
Mankind will not be allowed to destroy the earth, but will be
punished for defiling and polluting it, as is prophesied in the
last book of the Bible.
THE
BIBLE SAYS, "And the nations were angry, and Thy wrath is
come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and
that Thou shouldest give reward unto Thy servants the prophets,
and to the saints, and them that fear Thy name, small and great;
And shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth."
(Revelation 11:18)
God
will have the last word and will judge polluters! If you want a
good example of this, look at the former Soviet Union which
polluted the land, sea and air and after raping the environment,
ended up totally bankrupt.
JESUS
CHRIST MUST RETURN IN ORDER TO SAVE US FROM OUR OWN DESTRUCTIONS,
SO THAT HE CAN REIGN ON THIS EARTH FOR 1000 YEARS OF PEACE AND
PROSPERITY.
Believers
in Jesus Christ, like St. Paul, are waiting for the moment when we
can be free from the limitations of our weak, carnal flesh and to
be glorified (in the next life) to forever be in Heaven with Jesus
Christ and all the redeemed from all ages! WE WILL THEN RECEIVE A
RESURRECTED BODY WITHOUT THE LIMITATIONS WE HAVE TODAY.
The
Bible says, "And not only they, but ourselves also, which
have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within
ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit (that is to say), the
redemption of our body." (Romans 8:23)
Eternity
will be a joyful time of peace and glory as we live eternally in
Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ and all the redeemed from every
nation, tongue and people of all ages"
"And
I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the
voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings,
saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be
glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the
Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready."
"And
to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean
and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And
he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto
the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are
the true sayings of God." (Revelation 19:6-9)
SIGN
#2 - THE SICK CONDITION OF THE WORLD
The
Bible says, "Love not the world, neither the things that
are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the
Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of
the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not
of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away,
and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth
for ever." (1 John 2:15-17)
These
are Satan's three knockout-punches which he uses to tempt
the 'children of men', namely: 1) the lust of the
eyes 2) the lust of the flesh and 3) the pride of
life.
Satan
used these three temptations on Eve with great success. "And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food
(lust of the flesh), and that it was pleasant to the eyes (lust of
th eyes), and a tree to be desired to make one wise (the pride of
life), she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also
unto her husband with her; and he did eat." (Gen. 3:6)
King
David fell under this temptation also: He saw a beautiful woman
taking a bath in the privacy of her garden (the lust of the eyes).
He desired her and sent for her, committing adultery (the lust of
the flesh). HE FELL AFTER ONLY TWO STRIKES
JESUS
DEFEATED HIM TOTALLY
It
was a different story when Satan used his time-tested strategy on
our Lord Jesus Christ. He withstood the temptation and defeated
the devil each time he came with a new "trick up his
sleeve."
After
Jesus had fasted 40 days, Satan said to Him: "Command that
these stones be made bread." (the lust of the flesh) Jesus
answered, "It is written, Man shall not live by bread
alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of
God."
The
devil tried again: "If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself
down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge
concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest
at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. (the pride of
life) Jesus answered, "It is written again, Thou shalt not
tempt the Lord thy God." IN OTHER WORDS, GOD DOESN'T
CLOWN FOR ANYBODY.
Finally,
Satan showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of
time and said: "All these things will I give thee (pride of
life), if thou wilt fall down and worship me." WHAT A
DESPICABLE, ARROGANT, EGOTIST SATAN IS! Jesus rebuffed him
immediately with the Word of God saying, "Get thee hence,
Satan (enemy): for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy
God, and Him only shalt thou serve." (Matt. 4:1-11)
SATAN
HAD TO LEAVE HIM, THEN
The
Bible affirms that Satan is 'the god of this world' and 'the spirit which now worketh in the children of the
disobedience'. (John 12:31; Ephesians 2:2) He is the
world's greatest liar and the father of lies and a murderer
extra-ordinaire (John 8:44))
The
whole world lies in the lap of the wicked one (1 John 5:19) and he
"goeth about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may
devour" (1 Peter 5:8). We however, can "resist him
in the faith and he will flee from us." (1 Peter 5:9; James
4:7)
The
Bible records that Demos was swayed by the bright lights of
Thessalonica and forsook Paul, "having loved this present
world" (2 Timothy 4:10). And St. John commends the young
men in the Church for overcoming the wicked one! (1 John 2:13)
ST.
PAUL WARNED OF THE TOTAL DETERIORATION OF MORALITY, DECENCY AND
FAIRNESS IN THE LAST DAYS. DECADENCE & PERVERSION WILL RULE
JUST PRIOR TO OUR LORD'S RETURN, STATED THE APOSTLE! AS WE
READ THE PROPHECY WE FEEL SADDENED BY THE RESEMBLANCE OF OUR
PRESENT AGE TO THE PROPHETIC WORD OF GOD.
"This
know also, that IN THE LAST DAYS PERILOUS TIMES SHALL COME. For
men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters,
proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers,
incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good.
Traitors,
heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from
such turn away. (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
Now
the Spirit speaketh expressly, that IN THE LATTER TIMES SOME SHALL
DEPART FROM THE FAITH, giving heed to seducing spirits, and
doctrines of devils;" (1 Timothy 4:1) "And have no
fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather
reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things
which are done of them in secret." (Ephesians
5:11-12) "Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark
them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. (For many walk,
of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that
they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is
destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their
shame, who mind earthly things.) For our conversation is in
heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus
Christ:" (Philippians 3:17-20)
Interjected
among the reports of hypocrisy, backsliding & gross moral
evils, St. Paul interjects the Blessed Hope of the Return of Jesus
Christ.
"For
our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the
Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ."
Our
thoughts, actions, prayers, plans, goals and complete agenda here,
is tied to Heaven's plans, purposes and desires. We belong
to His heavenly kingdom and labour first and foremost for Christ.
Why
is this so important? Only our Blessed Jesus Christ has the
mandate, power & desire to straighten out this wicked world.
Therefore we wait for Him to come.
PERVERSION
VYING FOR RESPECTABILITY
Jesus
prophesied that the time will come, "that whosoever killeth
you will think that he doeth God service.". (John 16:2)
And
the prophet stated, "Woe unto them that call evil good, and
good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them
that are wise in their own eyes...Which justify the wicked for
reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from
him!" (Is. 5:20-23)
St.
Paul expounded, "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to
them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the
minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious
gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and
ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake." (2 Corinthians
4:3-5)
That
this WORLD IS EVIL AND PERVERTED is no secret! The
world system that despises that which is good and glorifies that
which is EVIL is a product of Satanic invention, since he is the 'god of this world'.
Again
Paul declares that Jesus Christ "gave Himself for our sins,
that He might deliver us from this present evil world (age),
according to the will of God and our Father." (Galatians
1:4)
SIGN #3 - THE SICK CONDITION OF ISRAEL
ISRAEL
IS VULNERABLE FACING ATTACKS FROM EVERY DIRECTION
At
this moment in history, Israel is very vulnerable because of the
pressure placed upon them by the nations of the world to give up
land for peace. And
the United States - who traditionally has been their friend, is
turning the screws the hardest of all.
Eventually,
Israel will succumb to all this pressure and give away so much
land that they will be unable to defend themselves. Sometime in
the future, Israel will be deceived into accepting the Antichrist
as their Messiah and will suffer terribly because of that.
Referring to this, our Lord said to the Jewish leaders,
"I
am come in My Father's name, and ye receive Me not: if another
(the anti-Christ) shall come in his own name, him ye will
receive." (John 5:43
The
Jewish leaders rejected Jesus Christ Who came to save them in His
Father's Name. When Antichrist comes in his own name, they
will receive him!
WHAT
A SAD & TRAGIC COMMENTARY ON WHAT IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN!
My
guess is that Iraq will eventually be reduced in power after the
United States and her allies are finished with her. Then
undoubtedly, Iran will pick up the pieces and gobble up Iraq (and
possibly Syria) and control all the oil flow in the Middle East!
(Ezekiel 38 & 39)
GOD'S
WORD STATES THAT RUSSIA WILL RISE UP AGAIN IN GREAT POWER AND LEAD
THE MARCH AGAINST ISRAEL
Iran
will then be the dominant power in the area, with the USA and
Israel giving in to their demands! According to God's Word,
Russia will rise in great power again and lead the march against
Israel!
The
prophet Ezekiel declared that Iran (Persia) together with
Ethiopia, Libya & Turkey will march against Israel in the
great battle of 'Gog and Magog'.
GOD
WILL FIGHT FOR ISRAEL AND DEFEND HER
GOD
WILL FIGHT FOR ISRAEL AND DEFEND HER! A great slaughter will
unfortunately take place however, before God's chosen
people come to their senses. They will ultimately receive their
long awaited Messiah Jesus Christ, when He returns n the Second
Coming of Jesus Christ in power and great glory at the end of the
age!
Jesus
Christ will then rule and reign for 1000 years of peace upon
planet earth, as King of kings and Lord of lords!
SIGN #4 - THE SICK CONDITION OF THE CHURCH
Celebrated
Canadian writer, Peter Newman exposes the weaknesses in our
churches and outlines wherein and how we have failed to
communicate the Gospel to our children, grandchildren and our
neighbours.
In
his recent book, 'The Canadian Revolution' Peter
Newman chronicles the free-fall of the United Church of
Canada's membership as well as their influence in society
during the past three decades.
Newman
writes, "The United Church, formed in 1925 through a union
of Methodists, Presbyterians and Congregationalists, suffered the
steepest decline. Three million Canadians declared their United
Church affiliation to the latest census takers but less than
380,000 bothered going to church. Although the most liberal of the
mainstream congregations, allowing for the ordination of gay
priests and promoting the social gospel, the United Church found
itself paradoxically unable to attract the young."
A
footnote says, "An increasingly typical event was the
closing, during the fall of 1994, of Chalmers United Church in
downtown Vancouver. There wasn't a single member left on
its congregational rolls who was less than 80 years old."
For
years, University of Lethbridge sociologist Reginald Bibby has
tracked the religious life of Canadians. In his book 'Unknown Gods', Bibby states:
"Tragically,
religious groups are failing in what appear to be spiritually
prosperous times. The churches are inept religious companies that
cannot get the faith out of the ware house. The news is
that interest and intrigue persist, in spite of the problems of
organized religion. The result may be a very sizable, ongoing
spiritual vacuum."
The
Anglican Church, according to the census has 2.2 million members
with 784,000 active adherents. Addressing the church synod in
1994, Archbishop Peter O'Driscoll warned: "In the
next ten to fifteen years the largest age group in the present
Anglican Church of Canada will be dead. At the end of two
generations, there won't be enough people to say
there's still an Anglican Church alive in this
country."
HOW
SAD AND TRAGIC!
While
the Anglican Church lost 250,000 members from 1981 to 1991, and
the United Church lost 665,000 members during that same period -
that's 10 % and 20 % respectively - the Pentecostal Church
grew by 100,000 adherents and the Christian & Missionary
Alliance doubled in size!
The
November,1965 issue of Canada's Revival Magazine, 'Cry of His Coming' carried the following prophetic
headline: 1965 UNITED CHURCH NEW CURRICULUM SETS STAGE FOR MORE APOSTASY! MODERATOR REV. HOWSE DENIES PHYSICAL RESURRECTION OF
JESUS CHRIST !
In
that article, this author wrote under the by-line, 'THE
GREAT FALLING AWAY' - St. Paul warns: "Let no man
deceive you by any means, for that day shall not come except there
come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the
son of perdition." (2 Thess. 2:3)
The
'Great Falling Away' is Here Now- with entire
denominations of Christian Churches turning their backs on the
Holy Scriptures, declaring them fallible and contradictory. They
despise the great truths of the Bible, and exchange them for their
own humanistic, man-made philosophies!
As
strange as this may seem, these reprobate preachers actually
play-out the exact role of 'backsliding Israel' in
Old Testament times.
"For
My people have committed two evils; they have forsaken Me the
fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken
cisterns that can hold no water." (Jeremiah 2:13)
HERE
IS A LIST OF THEIR BACKSLIDINGS!
They
have violated the sanctity of the Holy Bible, discarding the
eternal truths of God's Word. Man-made philosophies,
secular humanism and blatantly spurious doctrines have filled the
void!
They
rely almost totally on man's wisdom and carnal knowledge,
having rejected the wisdom that comes solely from the Holy
Scriptures. This leaves them incapable of making sound spiritual
decisions!
They
have rejected the counsel of the Holy Spirit- divine paraclete-
and draw their inspiration from the teachings of others similarly
deceived. Serious decision making regarding spiritual matters and
doctrine is therefore prejudiced, flawed and compromised!
Their
emphasis is on good works, rather than the sacrifice of Jesus
Christ for our sins. The �social gospel� they preach
is devoid of the grace of God and faith in the blood of Jesus
Christ. Their �good works� message offers only
secular and political rhetoric to undo social injustices, without
a sound spiritual foundation.
They
have desecrated the Holy Scriptures by substituting their own
verbiage instead of the correct translation of the original Hebrew
and Greek, in reference to God Himself. These literary
counterfeiters have unilaterally -without any jurisdiction-
decided to change the gender of Almighty God from masculine
(Father) to Mother. Instead of addressing God as He, they
refer to Him as She and the Lord Jesus is not the Son of God, but
the Child of God!
The
Word of God conclusively states: �This know also, that in
the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers
of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers,

despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded,
lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of

�Now

AN
URGENT WARNING ISSUED TO THOSE TAMPERING WITH GOD�S WORD
�Who
is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is
antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth
the Son, the same hath not the Father: but he that acknowledgeth
the Son hath the Father also.
�Beloved,
believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of
God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
�Hereby
know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus
Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that
confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of
God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard
that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
�Whosoever
believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God... Who is he
that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the
Son of God?
�If
we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for
this is the witness of God which He hath testified of His Son. He
that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he
that believeth not God hath made Him a liar; because he believeth
not the record that God gave of His Son. And this is the record,
that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His
Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son
of God hath not life.� (1 John 2:22-23; 4:1-3; 5:1, 4-5,
9-12)
WHAT
DOES THIS MEAN? SIMPLY THIS:
Anyone
who denies that Jesus Christ is God is a false teacher and an
enemy of God.
Every
spirit that confesses that �Jesus Christ is come in the
flesh� is of God. Those who do not are of Satan and
the Antichrist spirit!
WHAT
DOES THIS MEAN: �Jesus Christ is come in the flesh�?
There
are millions of babies born daily across the world. They are all
born of flesh & blood. They have all �come in the
flesh�. That is no miracle, but when God is incarnated in
human flesh, that is a miracle. It simply means that Jesus Christ
was God in human flesh! God the Son came down from Heaven, through
the very miraculous and complex process of the virgin birth!
God
the Holy Spirit placed within the virgin Mary�s womb a
specially created body for the Lord Jesus. He was begotten by the
Holy Spirit and born of a virgin woman without the aid of a human
father. Jesus Christ - true God & true man, in order to suffer
and die for our sins and rise again for our justification. ( )
�The
new United Church curriculum - now taught to thousands of children
- denies the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, leaving the inference
that Joseph or some other man was Jesus� father. This would
indicate that His mother Mary was sinful and promiscuous, instead
of a chaste virgin and that Jesus Christ was not divine!
Have
you heard of such SACRILEGE? And this - not from an atheistic
journal - but from the official organ and pulpits of
Canada�s largest Protestant denomination!
That
same �curriculum� calls the first eleven chapters of
Genesis - which deal with God�s marvelous creation, Noah
and the flood - a fable or myth! It denies the miracles in the
Bible, rejects the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ from the
dead and ridicules His ascension and second coming!
Read
the blasphemous statements made by Rev. Ben Smilie- United Church
chaplain at the University of Saskatchewan, as chronicled by
Regina Leader Post�s Tom Jarvis in an article titled,
�A MASSIVE IRRELEVANCY�:
�The
Toronto Telegram printed it in full with the somewhat shocking
passage in large type which speaks of fundamentalist belief in
�clay-made man, a floating zoo, an amphibious-footed Jesus,
a son of God who was a home brew artist, and an ascension that
looks like a Cape Kennedy blast-off�.
Have
you heard of anything more blasphemous and anti-Christian, coming
from the pen of an ordained Protestant clergyman!
We�ll
let the moderator of the United Church speak for himself. The

�HOWSE SAYS LITERAL BELIEVER IN BIBLE LACKS
UNDERSTANDING�.
�The
moderator of the United Church of Canada says Christians who
believe literally in all of the �metaphors and
imageries� of the Bible exhibit �lack of
understanding�.
�The
Rt. Rev. Ernest Howse of Toronto, in an interview Thursday said
that one of the most significant religious trends today is the
movement away from �medieval imagery and hypocrisy�.
�Dr.
Howse, who had been in Banff for a meeting of the United
Church�s Alberta Conference, said people should not take
literally such events as Christ�s physical resurrection and
the virginity of Mary. The moderator said the United
Church�s new curriculum which allows for liberal
interpretation of the Bible, is �really nothing new at
all�.
�There
is nothing in the curriculum which was not accepted when I was in
College thirty years ago. If people are shocked by it, then it is
evident our ministers have not been adequately teaching their
congregations�.
NEW
MODERATOR: SAME OLD APOSTASY IN UNITED CHURCH!
Bill
Phipps probably learned �APOSTACY� from professors,
who were themselves corrupted while in College! The new moderator
of the United Church is Rev. Bill Phipps - a little known Calgary
pastor - who is making big waves with his outspoken, irreverent
and blasphemous remarks. It appears that he has excelled in
unlearning the basic, fundamental doctrines of Christianity, in
the tradition of the Rev. Howse and the liberal theological
College to which he referred!
AN
ACTIVIST MODERATOR IS ROCKING THE UNITED CHURCHAN -Edmonton
Journal
In
a major news story carried across Canada in the Southam Press,
Nov.1, 1997, Rev. Phipps made these statements: �I
don�t believe Jesus is the only way to God. I don�t
believe he rose from the dead as a scientific fact. I don�t
know whether those thing happened. It�s an irrelevant
question.�
In
a follow-up article, the �Ottawa Citizen� wrote:
�CHURCH MODERATOR A HERETIC, PROFESSOR SAYS� -
�The moderator of the United Church of Canada is a heretic,
says a professor of modern Christian history.
�A
heretic is defined as someone who chooses a doctrinal path other
than that of the church to which he belongs�, says John
Stackhouse, of the University of Manitoba.
�By
that standard, Rev. Bill Phipps �is a heretic according to
the United Church of Canada�s own standard of doctrine.
He�s also a heretic in generic Christian terms, because he
denies the creeds that all Christians have subscribed to, whether
they�re Catholic, Protestant or Eastern Orthodox.�
�In
interviews with media organizations, Phipps denied the divinity of
Christ, denied the reality of the resurrection as a historical
fact, and said he was unclear �The historic Church says
there are such realities, which are crucially important to human
life,� said Stackhouse, a former president of the Canadian
Evangelical Theological Association.�
THE
WHOLESALE BACKSLIDING OF CHRISTIAN DENOMINATIONS DURING THESE PAST
THIRTY YEARS, AND ESPECIALLY THE LAST DECADE, SIGNALS THE SAD
STATE OF AFFAIRS IN THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH AT THIS VERY CRUCIAL
MOMENT IN HISTORY - THE TURN OF THE CENTURY AND THE MILLENNIUM!
A
very sad commentary on the Church is found in Christ�s
message to the Church where He states:
�And
unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things
saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of
the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold
nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art
lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my
mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods,
and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched,
and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to
buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and
white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of
thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve,
that thou mayest see.� (Rev. 3:14-18)
Again
He said, �Beware of false prophets, which come to you in
sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall
know them by their fruits...
�A
good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt
tree bring forth good fruit.
�...Wherefore
by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto
me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he
that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven...And then
will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye
that work iniquity.� (Matt. 7:15-23)
Jesus
asked a very pertinent question: �...Nevertheless. When the
son of man cometh will He find faith on the earth?� The
answer is �not very much�! That is why He stated,
�Strive to enter in at the straight gate, for many, I say
unto you will seek to enter and shall not be able�. (Luke
13:24)
�Enter
ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the
way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in
thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which
leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.� (Matthew
7:13-14)
HOW
MUST WE PREPARE FOR THE END TIMES AND TO BE SURE WE ARE
READY FOR JESUS CHRIST'S SOON RETURN IN THE SECOND COMING?
St.
Peter warned, "Make your calling and election
sure..." (2 Peter 1:10) It behooves each one to do a
reality check to be absolutely certain that you know Jesus Christ
personally as your Lord & Saviour.
Remember
that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again from the dead
for our justification. Only He has the power to save you because
He is the Redeemer of the world.
Jesus
said, "I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh
unto the Father, but by Me." (John 14:6) "I am the
door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go
in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to
steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have
life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John
10:9-10)
The
Bible says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between
God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" (1 Tim. 2:5) "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none
other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be
saved." (Acts 4:12)
St.
Paul declared, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in
Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not
robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation,
and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the
likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled
himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the
cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a
name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every
knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and
things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Phil. 2:5-11)
Jesus
Christ invites us to receive Him as personal Saviour and Lord with
the promise: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are
heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
(Matt. 11:28) And, "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him
that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." (John 6:37)
We
are warned: "But let a man examine himself, and so let him
eat of that bread, and drink of that cup." (1 Corinthians
11:28) Amen.

are the
SEVEN
DEADLY SINS?

ARE
WE ALL GUILTY OFF THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS?
Is
this generation guilty of the seven deadly sins, as catalogued by
medieval theologians?
YES,
we are guilty of the seven deadly sins! And this consensus
of opinion comes from groups as diverse as ecologists, historians
and theologians!
According
to Richard Pollay, historian at University of British Columbia,
the values behind modern advertising look much like the seven
deadly sins.
States
Pollay, "But the other side of the coin is almost absent.
Ads don't encourage compassion, selflessness and the values that
build a strong community"!
The
business community
has for many years succumbed to the "dog eat dog" value
system, in aggressive and often unethical competition among its
members. And we've known for a long time, that advertising
agencies exploit everything available, in their quest for
business.
ADVERTISING
AGENCIES EXPLOIT THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS
Like
sex (lust), for example. Scantily dressed, sensual females,
selling anything from holiday packages to automobiles, to lingerie
to a night out at the cabaret!
And
a ruggedly handsome cowboy promoting "cancer-causing"
cigarettes, or an elegantly dressed, jet-setting young couple,
standing beside a deluxe car in the driveway of a super expensive
home...promoting vodka! (greed)!
Some
years ago (Dec. 1998), Alberta's Telus
(phone company) came out with a Christmas television commercial
with 3 wise men bringing gifts, supposedly to the Christ-Child (He
was not shown). Their gifts consisted of gold, frankincense &
a mobile telephone from Telus.
After a lot of callers objected, the ad was pulled!
When
contacted by the TV media, I voiced my opposition declaring,
"Nothing is sacred or holy anymore! Nothing is off limits to
the materialistic, secular humanistic MINDSET! It shows a
terrible lack of sensitivity and reverence for God & the
Bible!"
"This
is but another calculated move by an unthinking, secular &
materialistic advertising agency to utilize a part of the
Christmas Story to further the economic goals of the TELUS
Corporation. We do not agree with that concept. They have crossed
over the line of decency and good taste! This practice must stop!
We won't put up with it!"
Now,
an advertising historian is saying the same thing. Our advertising
value-system is seriously flawed! And that's upsetting, when you
consider the thousands of ads we are all subjected to through
radio, television, billboards and printed materials.
WE
HAVE BECOME GREEDY, ENVIOUS PEOPLE, FULL OF PRIDE & SELFISHNESS
IT'S
NO WONDER THAT A LOT OF CHILDREN ARE GREEDY, SELFISH, ENVIOUS!
They want everything they see, and have a problem sharing what
they have with others.
The
same could be said about many adults who have become narcissistic
and hedonistic in their approach to life. This corrupted value
system helped spawn the Me Generation, 'if it feels good, do it'
attitude and the present YUPPIE mentality.
THE
WORLD HAS BEEN PLAYING GOD & ABUSING THE PLANET
The
Asian economic recession has taken a big bite out of the economic
pie and a lot of people are frustrated and let down.
And
the news about the depletion of the ozone layer causing enormous
increases in skin cancer, possible global warming, a deteriorating
eco-system and the stampeding HIV and AIDS endemic, is causing
people to rethink their philosophy of life.
Unfortunately,
large numbers are rudderless without any proper spiritual and
moral grounding in God's Word, the Bible...so become fair game for
the deceptive occultist and pagan teachings of the New Age
Movement and other cults.
Several
years ago Newsweek named the guilty nations which are adding to
the destruction of our planet. They presented their own list of
the "seven deadly sins" in an attack on
polluters.
Newsweek's
special report titled, Earth at the Summit details the three
important items on the table at Earth Summit '92, in Rio de
Janeiro:
1)
Global Warming: A treaty intended to curb emissions
of "greenhouse gases" - principally carbon dioxide - but
without specific target or timetables.
2)
Agenda 21: A plan for the industrial nations to help
poor countries develop their economies without ruining their
environments - or the planet's. Estimated cost: US $125 billion
per year.
3)
Biodiversity: A treaty to slow the loss of
endangered species. One approach, give countries royalties for
products (such as drugs) that are developed from indigenous plants
and animals
ECOLOGIST'S
HAVE MADE THEIR OWN LIST OF THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS
The
Newsweek report stated, "Adam was supposed to be the first
environmentalist - the caretaker in Paradise, even a vegetarian.
His fall doomed us to repeat his sins, time and again despoiling
the garden, and casting ourselves into a more imperfect
world".
Here

For the poor in the large city ghettoes of Third World nations
like Brazil, the only real concern is getting enough to eat,
staying alive using whatever means to do it.
With
open sewers and inadequate clean water supply, speaking to them
about pollution control and global warming, is totally irrelevant.
They are filled with worry and despair.

- GLUTTONY - Gluttony: Americans have an insatiable
desire for raw materials. They can consume anything. The European
immigrants cut down all but 5% of their forests, since arriving in
the New World. Ecologists are blaming the rich Americans for
consuming more than necessary, further polluting the planet!

- TEMPTATION - Temptation: Polluters cannot resist the
temptation to dump raw sewage in the rivers, lakes and streams of
the world. The greatest offenders are nations like Mexico and US
companies which have moved their operations there, to take

- HUBRIS - Hubris:
The meaning of hubris is insolence or arrogance caused by
inordinate pride; exaggerated self-confidence.
For
years the Soviet Union tried to play God with nature. In 1960, it
diverted two rivers that fed the Aral Sea in order to irrigate the
arid lands of Central Asia. The chickens have come home to roost
and the water level in the Aral is down two-thirds, leaving boats
and towns stranded and drifting salt storms.

- NEGLECT - Neglect:
The pollution caused by decades of communistic rule in the
East-Bloc nations - with their disregard for human life - has
severely retarded these nations, affecting the health of millions.
Unsafe nuclear plants - like Chernobyl - and the virtually

Elbe River has turned them into "sewers of death".

In her rush to catch up to the west economically, China has thrown
caution to the wind and also endangered the population with deadly
gases from hundreds of factories. In Benxi - the world's most
polluted city - 200 factories spew out more than 87 million cubic

it vanishes from satellite photos.

- HATRED - Hatred: When Saddam Hussein - Iraq's cruel despot -
retreated from Kuwait - he deliberately ordered the destruction of
700 oil wells. Black smoke hung over that nation for nearly one
year, polluting the entire region, until the fires were put out.

also released millions of gallons of oil into the gulf waters,
polluting, killing and destroying marine life, birds and insects,
endangering the underground water supply and causing respiratory
diseases in humans!
The
damage of his terrorism will last for years to come and the cost
of the clean-up could total $20 billion, says Ibrahim Hadi,
president of Kuwait's Environmental Protection Agency!
GOD
HAS THE FINAL WORD ON THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS
The
Bible has a lot to say about sin. Jesus was outspoken on the
subject.
Jesus
used the word "eaven" as an analogy of sin, which rises
and expands like leaven. The Lord Jesus also paralleled it
with tares or weeds in a field, that seek to choke out the good
grain.
THE
BIBLE STATES THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS ARE:
The
Bible very clearly states the seven deadly sin are: Pride,
greed, lust, anger or hatred, gluttony, envy and sloth.
#1 - PRIDE  #1
- PRIDE, which makes one feel superior to others is totally
wrong. This sin was Lucifer's downfall! The Bible says,
"Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before
a fall." (Proverbs 15:8)
#2- GREED
#2
- GREED has caused more wars and created more gangsters and
promoted more theft than any other sin.
The
Bible says, "Thou shalt not COVET..." (Exodus
20:17) "For the love of money is the root of all evil:
which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith,
and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man
of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness,
godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness." (1
Timothy 6:10-11)
#3- LUST
#3
- LUST is the desire for something not lawfully yours. A
sensual desire for the forbidden fruit! It includes an inordinate
desire for power, control, sex, substance abuse or wealth. Lust
always brings spiritual death, in the end.
The
Bible says, "Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth
sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death." (James
1:15)
#4 - ANGER
#4
- ANGER or HATRED causes high blood pressure, ulcers,
violent confrontation and even murder!
Jesus
said, "But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and
walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because
that darkness hath blinded his eyes. "Whosoever hateth his
brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal
life abiding in him."
"If
a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for
he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love
God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him,
That he who loveth God love his brother also." (1 John 2:11;
1 John 3:15; 1 John 4:20-21)
#5 - GLUTTONY #5
- GLUTTONY is an over indulgence in eating. A phobia or
inordinate desire to eat food, even when one is not hungry. A good
rule is: Eat to live, not live to eat! A day of fasting &
prayer each week does wonders for us - spiritually &
physically!
Let's
use the extra money we save through fasting to give to the poor
& needy and to support the poor and the orphaned.
#6 - ENVY #6
- ENVY will also cause the blood pressure to rise and the
demons of jealousy and pride to fabricate lies and even fantasies
in a person, given over to this wicked sin.
The
Bible says, "Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in
rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in
strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make
not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof."
(Romans 13:13-14)
#7 - SLOTH #7
- SLOTH goes hand in hand with laziness and poverty. St.
Paul stated, "Be not slothful in business". (Romans
12:11)
"For
God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love,
which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered
to the saints, and do minister.
And
we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the
full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but
followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the
promises." (Hebrews 6:10-12)
REMEMBER
- GOD HAS THE FINAL SAY IN EVERYTHING
The
Bible is the Word of God. Don't ever forget that God, our
Lord keeps the books. God, the creator or the world has the
final say in everything.
There
is only one way to be freed from these 'seven deadly sins' and
that is through the process of the New Birth. Only faith in Jesus
Christ's death for us on the cross and His glorious resurrection
from the dead, brings us into a vital contact with His saving
blood.
"Jesus
said, "Come unto Me all ye that labour and are heavy laden
and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

HOW TO BE FORGIVEN
OF SINS?

SIN
IS REAL - WE ARE ALL SINNERS
Sin
is real, says famed psychiatrist Dr. Karl Menninger. The highly
acclaimed psychiatrist is distressed by modern society's failure
to understand that many of man's problems are caused by sin.
It
annoys him to hear people discuss morality without so much as
mentioning the word "SIN".
WHEN
WE DISCOVER THE ROOT OF OUR PROBLEMS - WE CAN DEAL WITH THEM
Menninger
believes that in order to raise civilization's moral tone and deal
with depression, anxiety and worry, people must learn the root
cause of their problems.
And
the root cause in many instances is a person's unwillingness to
take responsibility for his own actions, but rather lay the blame
on someone - or something - else!
Several
decades ago, George W. Cornell of the Associated Press (AP) wrote
a column titled 'Word Sin Disappears But Remains A Fact', in which
he quoted at great length Dr. Karl Menninger's beliefs on this
subject.
ARE
IMMORALITY & UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR SIN?
"He
says the realities of personal guilt and sin have been glossed
over as symptoms of emotional illness or environmental
conditioning for which the individual is not considered
responsible, but he adds:
"There
is sin...which cannot be subsumed under verbal artifacts such as
'disease', 'delinquency', 'deviancy'. There is immorality. There
is unethical behavior. There is wrong doing."
WHATEVER
BECAME OF SIN?
Cornell
states: "He calls for a reaffirmation of the concept of sin
and of personal responsibility for it. " In a new book
published by Hawthorne called 'Whatever Became of Sin?' he
declares:
"In
the concept of personal responsibility and answerability for
ourselves and for others were to return to common acceptance, hope
would return to the world with it.
We
have the father of psycho-analysis, Sigmund Freud - who was
battling his own weird and kinky imaginations and habits - to
thank for much of that!
The
founder of the Menninger Centre in Topeka, Kansas, is seeking to
correct the situation by addressing the problem.
SIN
HAS A DEFIANT, DISLOYAL QUALITY
His
latest book, Whatever Became of Sin?, describes the subject as
"a transgression of the law of God; disobedience of the
divine will; moral failure...Sin has a defiant, or disloyal
quality; someone is defiled or offended or hurt."
Modern
psychiatry often lets people off the hook. And failure to bring
offenders face to face with their error could produce a sense of
vindication, without coming to grips with the problem; the need to
change lifestyles.
ACCEPTING
RESPONSIBILITY & REPENTING BRINGS FREEDOM FROM GUILT &
ANXIETY
Menninger
has successfully treated thousands of clients for more than a half
century and has proven that acceptance of responsibility coupled
with repentance, often brings freedom from guilt and anxiety. The
refusal to confront the problem only compounds it by giving at the
very best, temporary relief.
Thousands
of years ago, King David stated: "He that confesseth and
forsaketh his sin shall have mercy, but he that covereth his sin
shall not prosper." (Proverbs 28:13)
FORGIVENESS
IS THE KEY TO MENTAL HEALTH
Forgiveness
is vital to good mental health. We must forgive others if we
expect God to forgive us, as well as being able to forgive
ourselves.
A
leading psychiatrist noted that 90% of the mentally ill could be
immediately well if they were able to forgive themselves and
others and to receive forgiveness!
It
is difficult for an individual to forgive himself without the
assurance that God has forgiven him.
That
is why the gospel - CONFESSION, REPENTANCE and FORGIVENESS -
is so relevant and necessary!
IF
WE CONFESS OUR SIN GOD IS FAITHFUL TO FORGIVE OUR SIN
The
Bible states emphatically: "If we confess our sins, He is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)
"But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son
cleanseth us from all sin." (1 John 1:7)
Some
health officials, in explaining their AIDS program, go to great
lengths promoting condoms, as well as sexual abstinence. Then they
usually add: "THIS IS NOT A MORAL ISSUE".
How
ridiculous. Of course it's a moral issue!
If
our young people had higher morals there wouldn't be such a
problem with drug abuse, fornication or homosexual problems which
puts them at risk for the AIDS virus.
A
RISE IN MORAL VALUES WOULD DECREASE SEXUAL DISEASES
If
people were more moral and stuck with the Bible standard of
"one woman -- one man", there wouldn't be such a
dramatic increase in sexually transmitted diseases.
A
RISE IN MORAL VALUES WOULD ELIMINATE SO MUCH SIN
It
goes without saying, violence would be almost non-existent and
crime, rape and child abuse would drop drastically.
WHAT
THE WORLD NEEDS IS A MORAL REVOLUTION!
There
are signs that a moral revolution is coming. During an earlier
Canadian election, former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney was
accused of lying. Constituents were sending politicians the
message: "We won't tolerate dishonesty."
MORAL
VALUES ARE NECESSARY FOR A THRIVING ECONOMY
During
the last general election in Canada, Prime Minister Jean Chretien
was accused of breaking three earlier election promises which
included the promise to scrap the hated "GST". In
the recent US Presidential election, nearly all candidates were
speaking about values. Why? People understand that a sense of
moral values is not only important, but necessary.
America's
annual "SIN BILL" topped more than a half a trillion
dollars in 1987.
Dr.
Charles Ewing of The National Statesman said that Americans spent
$144 billion for liquor, $177 billion on gambling, $110 billion on
drugs, $73 billion on tobacco and $40 billion on pornography!
TEENAGERS,
OUR GREATEST COMMODITY - are being threatened by violence, murder,
drugs, alcoholism & suicide.
An
article by Dr. Robert Blum in the Journal of American Medical
Association states: "Over the past 30 years, adolescents have
been the only population in the US who have not experienced
improvement in their health status."
According
to Blum, 77% of adolescent deaths were caused by accidents and
violence, including self-inflicted violence. And there was a
shocking four-fold increase in suicides & murders!
A
US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report states:
"Of the 10,250 kids born today...one will die and four will
sustain serious or crippling injuries in an alcohol related crash
before they reach the age of 24."
A
SERIOUS WARNING - "THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH"
This
is a very sobering, serious warning about sin, accidents and
death! May we all take a lesson from these tragic statistics,
realizing that "The wages of sin is death."
WHAT
MUST I DO TO BE FORGIVEN OF MY SINS?
You
may say, "All you have stated is true! But what must I do to
be forgiven and freed from my sins?" The Bible says, "If
we confess our sins (to God) He is faithful and just to forgive us
our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". (1 John
1:9)
George
W. Cornell writes: "Menninger says that just as it is
inadequate for a clergyman to give only pastoral counseling to a
schizophrenic, it is inadequate for a psychiatrist to treat a
symptom like sleeplessness of a man involved in wicked
rascality."
REPENTANCE
OF SIN IS VALUABLE!
"It
does little good to repent a symptom, but it may do great harm not
to repent a sin. Vice-versa, it does little good to merely
psychoanalyze a sin and sometimes a great harm to ignore a
symptom."
He
says recognizing the fact of voluntarily willed sin is "the
only hopeful view", since it implies the possibility of
repenting and correcting it. He adds:
"The
logical reasonable effective solution for tension reduction in
such circumstances is to make atonement, as the theologians call
it, or as we say, by restitution, acknowledgement and revised
tactics."
As
the situation now is "vague amorphous evil appears all around
us" with the presumption that "no one is responsible, no
one guilty" and that there is 'just nothing to do'. BUT,
THERE IS SOMETHING WE CAN DO!
THE
BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST CLEANSES US FROM ALL SIN
"But
if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship
one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth
us from all sin". (1 John 1:7)
The
Bible says: "... But the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord". (Romans 6:23)

THE
BIBLE SAYS YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW
The
ancient Jew, Saul of Tarsas gave us some good advice in the New
Testmament: "Be not deceived, God is not mocked: whatsoever a
man soweth, that shall re reap." (Galatians 6:7)"For
the wages of sin (is) death: but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
 LORD
BYRON'S WORDS OF WARNING - You reap what you sow - your sins will
be punished
The
thorns of the tree that I have planted, have reaped me: and I have
bled. I should have known that such fruit would have sprung,
from such a seed. - Lord Byron
Hindsight
is always better than foresight, and the pride of experience is
often very costly. Lord Byron must have written out of
personal experience, in order to drive home such a powerful
message in so few words. Lord Byron realized that he was
reaping what he sowed.
The
people is both lament, a sign of regret and a confession of a
reckless, foolish and willful act.
Lord
Byron's poem is more than that. It is an admonition and
warning to others who might make the same mistakes, watch what you
do, be careful what you reap in life, because you will show it in
the end,
Byron
makes a lot of sense. Too bad he could not have got through
to Sigmund Freud before the he put together his harmful 'psycho
analysis' package and before he hooked on the merits of cocaine
use among professionals and others.
WHINERS
BLAME OTHER PEOPLE
If
Byron could have gotten his message of 'you reap what you sow'
across to Sigmund Freud, we possibly wouldn't today have an
entire generation blaming other people for their problems, which
in many cases are self inflicted. These people are reaping
what they sowed. They are reaping the rewards of a negative
life style. They are reaping the rewards of bad decisions
and a destructive lifestyle.
ITS
EASY TO BLAME OTHERS FOR YOUR PROBLEMS
'Be
not deceived, God is not mocked; whatsoever a man soweth, that
shall he reap.'
(Galatians 6:7)
Its
so easy to blame it on George or Mary, when in fact, 'it's not my
brother or my sister, but it's me, O Lord, that's standing in the
need of prayer.'
PRESIDENT
HENRY TRUMAN SAID 'the buck stops here'.
Lord
Byron's choice in words is so notable: 'The thorns of the tree
that I have planted, have reaped me!'.
Lord
Byron takes full responsibility for his own actions. And the
thorns reap him, he does not reap the thorns, although he often
say, 'You'll reap what you sow'.
Byron
brings home even more powerfully - 'The results of your wrong
doing will follow you, track you down and punish you. Your
sins will be punished. You will reap what you sow.'
There
is an old saying, 'You've made your bed; now you must sleep in
it.'
PROMISCUITY
BRINGS PUNISHMENT
If
you don't believe that promiscuity brings punishment, ask the
homosexual who frequented gay bars and is now dying with AIDS.
If you don't believe that you 'reap what you sow', ask the
promiscuous swinger who "slept around" and now has
genital herpes or the teenager who has to sell her body to satisfy
the craving in her veins and the demands of an "evil
pimp".
John
Evans celebrated his 109th birthday in 1986, receiving hundreds of
congratulatory greetings - among those one signed Elizabeth R.
When
interviewed on BBC Television as to the secret of his longevity,
the Welshman stated. "I never drank alcohol or smoked and I
don't swear." His mind was clear as a well, his speech
impeccable and his manner polite.
As
I tried to analyze the weight of his words, I suddenly realized
the greatness of his philosophy. Its not smart to smoke, its not
smart to drink alcohol and its not smart to swear.
ITS
NOT SMART TO SMOKE
When
I was a teenager, it was smart to SMOKE; teachers, doctors,
liberal clergymen, politicians and farmers smoked. Only
prudes and religious evangelicals didn'T smoke. Many
athletes smoked. I must confess that when I won the
Saskatchewan title for the half mile, I had cigarettes in my
locker.
Things
have certainly changed in the past 5 decades. Now, if you
are a smoker, people shun you. You're considered an air
polluter, a safety hazard and a poor insurance risk.
And
if you continue smoking, the odds are good that the local
undertaker will have your name on his files before long.
YOU
DO REAP WHAT YOU SOW
It's sad, but Byron
warned us - didn't he? "I should have known that such fruit
would have sprung from such a seed."
DRINKING
is a scourge in our land. Even though it still seems popular to
drink socially, the cost to our society is enormous.
Thousands of highway deaths through alcohol related accidents,
millions of dollars spent on welfare due to broken marriages, as
well as the poor job performance of the "half
man."
WHY
DO PEOPLE SWEAR?
It
took me a while to figure out that one. Why do people swear?
Some people swear because they have a poor vocabulary and use
oaths as a fill in. Others think they are macho or wit it
when they swear, and it gives them a sense of authority.
Many
people, however, swear because they are frustrated, any, jealous
or bitter. And all these contribute to ulcers, heart trouble,
insomnia, high blood pressure and death.
Have
we forgotten the 3rd commandment that states: "Thou shalt not
take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not
hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain." (Exodus
20:7)
WHAT
DOES IT MEAN TO TAKE THE LORD'S NAME IN VAIN?
If
you use the name of God, the Lord or Jesus Christ in any way as a
negative such as in swearing, cursing and damning people, you are
take the Lord's name in vain. The Lord's name is Holy and is
to be used only in prayer, praise or speaking of the Lord.
THE
LORD WILL NOT FIND YOU GUILTLESS FOR TAKING HIS NAME IN VAIN
When
you use the Lord's name in vain you are breaking this commandment.
(Exodus 20:7) No wonder so many people struggle through life
with a host of problems, setbacks, tragedies and turmoil, when
they constantly curse and swear. If you break this
commandment you will reap what you sow.
Finally,
that ancient Jew, Saul of Tarsus gave us some good advice in the
New Testament. "Be not deceived. God is not
mocked: whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he reap".
(Galatians 6:7)
The
Bible says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory
of God." (Romans 3:23) The truth of the matter is that
we have all sinned. "For the wages of sin (is) death;
but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our
Lord." (Romans 6:23)
We
are all guilt and we have all sinned, but there is good news.
Jesus Christ died for the ungodly. He took our place and
paid our penalty. YOUR SINS CAN BE FORGIVEN. Jesus
Christ is willing to forgive your sins and set you free. You
will no longer continue to live a life of sin.
"For
when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the
ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet
peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But
God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now
justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
" (Romans 5:6-9)
It
seems to me that Evans, Byron and St. Paul must have got their
good advice from the same source.
WHAT
MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?
You
may say, "That well and good for them, but WHAT ABOUT ME?
What should I do to change my unhappy and sinful lifestyle?
What do I need to do in order to get some meaning in my
life"?
Only
Jesus Christ has the power to transform any life, including yours,
my friend. The good news is that you can change the course
of your life, you can reap good things, so that you sow good
things. You can change the patterns of your life and in
doing so, what you reap will be positive, good things - instead of
bad, negative results.
Simply
approach God our Heavenly Father in prayer in the Name of His Son,
Jesus Christ and He will forgive you and give you Eternal Life and
something to live for.
The
Bible says, "If any man (person) be in Christ Jesus he is a
new creation. Old things are passed away, all things become
new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)
And
remember that God loves you and desires to give you fulfillment,
peace, joy and happiness.

I ASK YOU A QUESTION? ARE YOU READY TO MEET GOD?
The
most important question I could ask you and the most important
decision of your entire lifetime revolves around the spiritual
welfare of your soul and its eternal destiny.
There
are preachers today who have soft-soaped the Gospel and watered
down God's word to please their listeners in order to keep their
parishioners coming to church.
They
are afraid that if they preach the truth, as it is written, people
will not like it and their offering plates will not bring in too
much money.
The
Bible warns that this would be the case in the end time, of which
we are now living. (2 Timothy 3:13) (2 Timothy 4:3-4). The Apostle
Paul calls such preachers Food Preachers or Belly Preachers.
(Romans 16:18) (Philippians 3:19) These men only preach to earn a
living and not to win men and women to Jesus Christ.
I'm
going to be absolutely honest with you and tell you the complete
truth as found in God's Word concerning your soul, death,
judgment, heaven, hell and eternity and the gift of salvation.
Then I will also show you how you can be saved and forgiven by the
precious blood of Jesus Christ.

HOW
CAN I BE SAVED?
Many
are asking this question today. They are wanting to know how to
"make things right with Almighty God." They realize
somewhere along the way, they have lost sight of God - they have
lost contact with the Eternal One - the Great Creator, God, who
loved the world so much that He sent His Son to die for lost
humanity.
Multitudes
today are groping in darkness - looking for a ray of light to
point them to the Heavenly way - but alas, they search in vain,
they stumble and fall in the shadows of sin, worry, fear, anxiety,
loneliness, heartbreak, sickness and confusion.
Many
people have tried to live a better life, turn over a new leaf,
rehabilitate themselves, only to find that their strength in the
time of testing and temptation has failed and they are back where
they started. So now, not only are they defeated, but they are
also bewildered, perplexed and tormented, not knowing which way to
turn.
Dear
Reader, perhaps you are one of these poor unfortunate souls. THEN
LISTEN CAREFULLY, for I have good news for you. There is still
balm in Gilead for your sin sick soul. There is still deliverance
for the bound, victory for the defeated and peace for the
troubled. There is still healing for the sick and salvation for
the lost.
THERE
IS STILL HOPE - LOOK TO JESUS
THERE
IS STILL HOPE FOR YOU. There is
life for you. There is still forgiveness and happiness for you. LOOK
TO JESUS, the author and finisher of your faith, (Hebrews
12:3).
LOOK
TO JESUS, the mighty conqueror
(Revelation 1:17-18).
LOOK
TO JESUS, the Saviour of the
World (Luke 2:11).
Don't
look at your sinful condition, LOOK TO JESUS; don't look
at your hopelessness, frustration and bewilderment, LOOK TO
JESUS.
Don't
look at your sickness, grief and loneliness, LOOK TO JESUS.
Don't
look at your friends of other Christians who have failed, but LOOK
TO JESUS who never fails.
The
Bible says in Isaiah 45:22, "Look unto me and be ye saved,
all the ends of the earth: for I am God and there is NONE
else."
There
is only one way to be saved and that is through Jesus Christ, the
Son of the Living God.
Jesus
said in (John 14:6), "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life,
no man cometh unto the Father but by me." Jesus said in (John
10:9), "I am the Door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be
SAVED, and shall go in and out and find pasture."
THERE
IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GO - that way is JESUS. There is only one
door to God, and that door is Jesus. There is no other.
Mohammed,
Buddha and the Roman Pope, a church organization - none of these
will open the doors to the Kingdom of Heaven, but Jesus Christ,
the one who came from heaven, who died on the Cross, rose again
from the dead - He is able to forgive you, save you and bring you
into the Kingdom of God. GLORY TO HIS NAME FOREVER.
The
Apostle Peter said in (Acts 4:12) concerning Jesus Christ,
"Neither is there Salvation in any other, for there is none
other name under Heaven, given among men whereby we must be
SAVED." There you have it. the only name that can bring
salvation, blessing and deliverance is the Mighty Name of Jesus.
The Angel said unto Joseph (Matthew 1:21), "Ye shall call His
Name Jesus, for He shall SAVE His people from their sins." In
(Romans 10:13) we read, "For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be SAVED."
The
Philippian jailer asked the same question many today are asking
and he got an answer he was converted, his life was changed. He
met the master, Jesus. You can do the same. There in the prison
house he cried out (Acts 16:30), "Sirs, what must I do to be
saved?" Paul answered, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ
and be Saved." He believed on Jesus Christ and was Saved. you
can do the same.
But
you ask - how can I believe? What must I do to believe in Jesus
Christ? Where do I start? I am glad you asked these questions,
because I have the answer for you from God's word - Here is what
you must do to be saved.
#1
- REPENT OF YOUR SINS
To
be saved you must repent of your sins and see yourself as you
really are - You must realize you are lost and undone, without
hope. You must see God's Holiness and realize that you have
sinned against the Almighty. You must be sorry for your sins, you
must hate your sins and be willing to forsake them (Matthew 4:17)
your sins have condemned you (John 3:18) your sins have separated
you from God (Isaiah 59:2). The Bible says (Romans 3:23),
"For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of
God." Also in (Isaiah 53:6) the word of God says, "All
we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own
way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."
GOD
HATES YOUR SINS
- but God loves you. God wants to rescue you out of your sins. You
must be willing to give yourself completely over to God and turn
your back on all unrighteousness.

- YOU MUST CONFESS YOU SINS TO GOD
(1
John 1:9) "If we confess our sins (to God), He is faithful
and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness." You must tell God you are a sinner and that
you cannot save yourself. You must confess to God that no one else
can save you except Jesus Christ. You must ask God to have mercy
on you (Luke 18:13) and to forgive you. Then you must confess to
God that you believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that Jesus
Christ died on the Cross of Calvary for your sins, that He rose
again from the dead and that He is able to save you (1 Corinthians
15:1-4) (Hebrews 7:25).

- YOU MUST ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOUR
Tell
God that you accept His pardon and that you now, through faith in
God's word accept Jesus Christ into your heart and life.
(Ephesians 2:8-9) "For by grace are you saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works,
lest any man should boast." Salvation is absolutely free -
you cannot work for it - you cannot pay for it - It is free - you
just receive it from God.
After
you have prayed to God asking Him to forgive you - then you must
believe He has heard your prayer and forgiven your sins. That is
faith. You say that is hard to do. No - it isn't. If you believe
that God told the truth and the Bible is God's word - God will
do what He said He would do. If you have prayed the sinner's
prayer asking God to forgive you, (then he has forgiven you; His
word tells you that and His word is the truth) and if you are
forgiven, then you are saved. You must then continue to live in
God's way - you must live for God. Believe that you are saved,
begin to praise and worship God and thank him for saving your
soul.
But
you have doubts and say, "I don't feel any different."
You say you still feel the way you did before, you don't feel
like you are saved. Always remember, you are NOT SAVED by your
feelings, you are saved by FAITH IN GOD'S WORD. If God said it -
it is the truth, whether you feel like it or not. However, when
you stand of God's word and by faith accept the Salvation that
God offers, you WILL FEEL DIFFERENT.
You
will believe before you feel - you will feel the cleansing, you
will feel the forgiveness of God, you will feel the assurance when
you believe God's word and have confessed Jesus Christ as your
Saviour. (Romans 10:9-10).
You
will begin to feel peace, the peace that comes from knowing you
are saved, that your sins have been forgiven and you will feel
hope and optimism.
The
Word of God states (John 6:37), Jesus said, "Him that cometh
unto Me, I will in no wise cast out." You have come to Jesus
by faith; He has not cast you out - Jesus has taken you in - you
are SAVED. Praise God.
Raise
your hands to God (in complete obedience and surrender). Say
"thank you, Jesus, for saving my soul." Praise Him and
Worship Him for what He has done for you.
You
are now saved, you have passed from death unto life (John 5:24).
Your name has now been written in the "Lamb's Book of
Life." (Revelation 20:15) The Angels are rejoicing in Heaven
over this great victory over the devil. God has snatched your soul
from Satan's grasp and the angels are rejoicing over this. (Luke
15:7)
RISE
from you knees full of peace (John 14:27). Now go and tell someone
about Jesus Christ and his love. Tell people what God has done for
you. (Romans 10:9-10) "That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth, the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God
hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be SAVED. For with the
heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth
confession is made unto Salvation."
Seek
the Lord (James 4:8) and ask Him to fill you with the holy Ghost
and Fire.
Ask
God to give you power for service (Luke 3:16) (Acts 1:4) (Acts
1:8) (Acts 2:4) (Acts 2:38-39). Read your Bible every day and pray
to the Lord Jesus Christ.
As
you go about your life, witness to people about Jesus Christ. Find
a good church where the pastor and the congregation believe the
whole Bible, where they believe in holiness of life and separation
from the world.
Find
a church where they believe in prayer for the sick and where the
pastor and congregation have a burden to see the lost saved and
brought to Jesus Christ.
May
the Lord bless you and give you peace. Write me a letter if you
have accepted the lord Jesus Christ as a result of reading this
message.
 WHAT MUST
I DO TO
BE SAVED?
Jesus
said, "Come unto Me all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
Yes,
my dear friend, God is still in the business of setting men and
women free from their sins, sorrows, heartbreaks, fears and
troubles. In this age of frustrations, nervous tensions and
mental collapses, Jesus Christ is still granting peace to the
troubled, joy to the discouraged, strength to the weary and
healing to the sick!
1
- You must admit that you are a sinner
The
Bible says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
God." (Rom. 3:23) "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have
turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the
iniquity of us all." (Isaiah 53:6)

- You must believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God
You
MUST believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that Jesus died
on the cross, was buried and rose again from the dead.
"That
whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal
life. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: buot he that
believeth not is condemned already." (John 3:15,18) "Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My word, and believeth on
Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into
condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." (John 5:24)

- You must receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour
The
Bible says: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish,
but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
"Behold,
I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open
the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he
with Me." (Rev. 3:20) "He that hath the Son hath life: and he
that hath not the Son of God hath not life." (1 John 5:12)

- You must confess Jesus Christ as your Lord
The
Bible says: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)
"Whosoever
shall confess Me before men, him shall the Son of man confess
before the angels of God: But he that denieth Me before men shall
be denied before the angels of God." (Luke 12:8, 9)
HOW
DO I INVITE
JESUS CHRIST INTO MY LIFE?
Pray
to God, a prayer - from your heart.
Tell Him that you
are a sinner and that you need forgiveness. Tell him that
you believe Jesus Christ died for your sins. Tell him that
you are willing to change, to turn away from sin. Ask Jesus
Christ to come into your heart and life and be your personal
Saviour.
"But
as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons
of God, even to them that believe on his name." (John 1:12)
"Therefore
if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2
Corinthians 5:17)
If
you prayed and ask Jesus Christ into your heart - YOU HAVE NOW
RECEIVED THE GIFT OF SALVATION - YOU HAVE BECOME A CHILD OF GOD.
