The
End Times
A
TIME OF TROUBLE
by: Pastor Max Solbrekken,
D.D.
PREPARE
FOR A TIME OF TROUBLE
GOD
SPOKE TO ME - Warn my people, the end times are near
Revelation
20:11-15 - "And
I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from Whose
face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no
place for them.
And
I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books
were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of
life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were
written in the books according to their works and death and hell
were cast into the lake of fire.
This
is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in
the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
(Revelation 20:11-15)
THE
CHURCH IS GOING TO EXPERIENCE 'A BAPTISM OF SUFFERING'
We
are presently standing on the threshold of a New Day! The
end times, a time when the Church of the living God, the bride of
Christ will soon be raptured.
The
rapture, the second coming of Jesus Christ is near. But even
sooner, the Church will go through a 'Baptism of suffering'!
A baptism such as we have never believed possible in North America
and the Free World.
WHAT
WILL HAPPEN WHEN JESUS CHRIST RAPTURES THE CHURCH?
When
Jesus Christ the Lord raptures the Church in what is called 'The
Second Coming of Christ', we will then take our place with
those who have fought the battle and won, who have been diligent
to the very end and made it through victoriously; triumphing over
evil, unrighteousness and wickedness.
We
will come out of the "furnace of affliction" with
not even the smell of fire on our persons, the ropes of bondage
burned off and a testimony so powerful for our Lord God that
no one will be able to repudiate.
We
will then be a part of that glorious church without spot
and wrinkle that will be presented to our Heavenly Bridegroom by
the Blessed Holy Spirit, at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb when
Jesus Christ returns to rapture the church.
The
Bible says, "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour
to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath
made herself ready". (Revelation 19:7)
In
other words, the bride was not ready until a certain point in
time, when she decided to prepare for the marriage ceremony.
THE
LAODECIAN CHURCH IS NOT READY
Jesus
warned concerning the Seventh and Final Church Age. The word, Laodecian,
means "The people rule or power to the people".
How
indicative of the age in which we live!
The
Democratic process means "government; by the people, of the
people, and for the people". Even the so-called Socialistic
and Communistic regimes espouse the doctrine of the proletariat,
the Peoples' Republic, etc.
In
the Church, we also see people ruling: popes, cardinals, and
archbishops, ruling without the power of the Holy Spirit.
The
Holy Spirit is missing in many Protestant churches are they are
totally devoid of God's blessings as the people rule - electing,
hiring and firing pastors and other church leaders in the
democratic process.
WE
ARE DEFINITELY LIVING IN THE END TIMES
We
are living in the end times, facing war, world conflict and
distress and are awaiting the second coming of Jesus in the
Rapture.
Jesus
warned the final Church Age with these words, "And unto
the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things
saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of
the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold
nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So
then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will
spew thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and
increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not
that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and
naked". (Revelation 3:14-17)
The
invitation, however, is always there. "I counsel thee to
buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and
white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of
thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve,
that thou mayest see."
GOD
SPOKE TO ME - WARN MY PEOPLE THE END TIMES ARE NEAR - TO PREPARE
FOR A TIME OF TROUBLE
A
number of years ago, the Lord God spoke to my heart, "Warn
My people to prepare for a time of trouble", the beginning of
the end times.
I
began to preach powerful sermons on end times, the rapture,
the second coming of Jesus and repentance. I preached
powerful sermons on faith, what to expect as the end times
unfold such as the coming judgments.
I
preached on the importance of being prepared and balanced in the
Christian walk. God gave me powerful sermons called 'Victory
in Adversity'.
In
the message 'Victory in Adversity', I tell of the 3 times God gave
me powerful sermons - a message for Canada and just recently, the
fourth time, with the warning of 'End Times ~ Coming Troubles'.
The
first time God spoke to me with a message for the nation of Canada
was in July 1967. I shared it by printed page in "The Cry
of His Coming", and also over our national radio
broadcast.
The
sermon was called, "A SALUTE TO CANADA".
Canada was celebrating our 100th birthday as a nation and God
showed me Canada as a great nation with His rich blessings upon
us. We were a nation of freedom, opportunity and plenty, but that
if we did not repent of our sins and humble ourselves before God,
we would lose our greatness, and much of God's favor.
I
quoted the scripture, "RIGHTEOUSNESS EXALTETH A NATION, BUT
SIN IS A REPROACH TO ANY PEOPLE." (Proverbs 14:34) Our
magazine with the Centennial Year Message "A Salute to
Canada" was sent to all the elected officials across Canada,
civic officials (large cities), provincial officials and
national governments of our nation.
I
immediately received many kind letters from government officials
thanking me for the sermons. One person who responded very warmly
and enthusiastically was the Justice Minister of Canada, Pierre
Elliott Trudeau.
The
years passed and the young Justice Minister became our 15th Prime
Minister. Pierre Trudeau seemed to be leading the nation in
a dangerous leftward trend.
Some
of his policies that caused deep concern were 1) abolition of
capital punishment. 2) broadening of the Divorce Laws. 3)
legalizing homosexuality, lesbianism, & bestiality. 4)
legalizing abortion (not on demand). 5) seeking to legalize
marijuana. He then called an election.
GOD
SPOKE TO MY HEART TO BRING ANOTHER MESSAGE TO THE NATION. IT
WAS CALLED, 'MY MESSAGE TO PRIME MINISTER TRUDEAU'.
I
sent the message "My message to Prime Minister Trudeau"
out in booklet form by the tens of thousands across Canada and
other countries.
A
copy of the booklet as well as a cassette tape was sent to the
mayor of every large town or city in Canada, the MLA in each
province, every member of Parliament and all heads of major
nations across the world, both free and Communist.
A
copy of the message was also sent to the Queen of England, the
Pope of Rome and the Archbishop of Canterbury,
I
received many complimentary and kind letters from leaders across
the world. Only one person however, refused the cassette and
booklet. Prime Minister Edward Heath of Great Britain, returned
both with a covering letter stating that he could not accept them.
I
was stunned that such a reaction should come from a Conservative
PM of so-called Protestant England.
I
conferred with my wife Donna and our office manager, Margaret
Graham. Sister Graham asked if I wanted her to prepare a letter to
the Prime Minister of England!
I
said, "NO, I will wait for a more opportune time"!
We didn't have to wait long. Within a few months, Edward Heath
called a snap election to increase his seats in parliament and
gain a majority. Everyone seemed to think that he would win, but I
KNEW DIFFERENTLY.
I
summoned Sister Graham into my office for a letter to Edward
Heath. Here is the substance of that letter (which I still have on
file)
"When
you refused and returned the cassette and booklet of the Gospel
Message, "My Message To Prime Minister Trudeau," you did
not reject my words or my letter, Mr. Prime Minister, you rejected
the Word of God, the Message of Jesus Christ and God's Warning to
the Nations.
"IF
YOU WILL REPENT OF YOUR SINS, GOD WILL FORGIVE YOU. However, if
you do not repent and register this action in a letter to me, I
know that you will be the recipient of God's judgment for your
actions. Furthermore, I prophesy that you will not gain a majority
in the forthcoming election, but you will in fact lose the
election and go into oblivion politically. Your days of political
power are numbered, Mr. Prime Minister.
God's
Servant, Max Solbrekken
THOUSANDS
HEARD ME MAKE THE PUBLIC STATEMENT
I
began to make known what God had shown me. In our crusades and
privately as well, I shared the tremendous revelation of God's
displeasure with those who had rejected the message I had
delivered as His servant, to Government officials across the
world.
I
declared publicly to thousands of people that God had revealed to
me that because the Prime Minister of Great Britain had rejected
this message, God had rejected him from being Prime Minister.
My
statement was that if Mr. Edward Heath did not lose that Election,
they would never hear me preach again.
THAT
IS HOW CERTAIN I WAS OF MY ABILITY TO HEAR THE HOLY SPIRIT - GOD'S
VOICE.
Jesus
said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they
follow me." (John 10:27)
As
the election drew near, more and more people were reasonably sure
that PM Edward Heath would gain the majority he was seeking.
During my crusade in Trinidad, West Indies we heard the news of
the Great Britain election.
Rev.
Dennis White, who later became the Superintendent of the
Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies, was chauffeuring me
around the Island. I had just spoken at the West Indies School
of Theology, where he was president.
I
saw a small corner store and said, "Dennis, I wish to
purchase a paper; I want to see how badly Mr. Heath has
lost"! He replied, "Are you kidding, why would
you make such a statement"?
EDWARD
HEATH LOSES THE ELECTION IN GREAT BRITAIN
The
headlines screamed: "POLITICAL UPSET. IT'S A CLIFF
HANGER; IT'S A TIE." I said "Dennis,
tomorrow, we will read, "Edward Heath loses the
Election"! It happened exactly as I had stated! The date
was February 28, 1974.
THE
SERMON GOD GAVE ME - WHAT WAS IN THE MESSAGE?
Although
the message God gave me was called, 'My Message to Prime
Minister Trudeau', it was directed at all government leaders
instructing them to repent of their sins and let God rule in their
lives and in their decisions as leaders.
I
wrote of King Nebuchadnezzar, who became proud of his
accomplishments and said, "Is not this Great Babylon,
that I have built for the house of the Kingdom, by the might of my
power, and for the honor of my majesty". (Daniel
4:30)
GOD
JUDGED KING NEBUCHADNEZZAR AND HE LOST HIS MIND.
For
seven years, the great king wandered about like an animal and ate
grass as an oxen until he acknowledged God. In the message, I told
of KING HEROD, who made an oration. They said, "It is the
voice of a god and not of a man". The scripture says, "He
gave not God the glory and God smote him until he died eaten of
worms"! (Acts 12:23)
When
Prophet Samuel entered Bethlehem, the City Elders trembled in fear
of God: "...And the elders of the town trembled at his
coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?" (Samuel 16:4)
Oh,
how government officials need to tremble before the servants of
God again, in order to bring back righteousness and sanity to the
nations.
"BLESSED
IS THE NATION WHOSE GOD IS THE LORD" (Psalms
33:12)
St.
Paul spoke to KING AGRIPPA and challenged him with the glorious
Gospel of Jesus Christ. The scripture says that Agrippa cried out,
"...Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian".
(Acts 26:28) Again, when Paul spoke to FELIX the Governor, he
trembled because Paul spoke of "Righteousness, temperance
and judgment to come"! (Acts 24:25)
The
Bible says, "Righteousness exalteth a nation and sin is a
reproach to any people". (Proverbs 14:24) Again, God's
Word declares, "When the righteous are in authority, the
people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people
mourn". (Proverbs 29:2) "Blessed is the nation
whose God is the Lord". (Psalms 33:12)
CANADA
- IT'S TIME TO TURN AROUND
It
happened in the spring of 1978, in Kelowna, British Columbia. I
was awakened at 8:00 AM, the morning after a powerful meeting. The
voice of God had been speaking to my heart while I was sleeping.
The message of God was already in my mind, totally comprehendible
and ready to deliver.
I
awakened with the words, "Canada Turn Around, Canada Turn
Around, CANADA COME BACK TO GOD," whirling around in my
Spirit.
So
powerful was this impression that I leaped out of bed, grabbed my
Bible and note paper, and wrote down the message which I knew God
wanted me to deliver across the nation and around the world.
Canada
turn around, come back to your senses! Come back to God and
righteousness, decency and reality.
I
began to preach sermons, declare and dispense this message of end
times, God, Rapture, Holy Spirit and repentance across the nation;
in crusades, by printed material, on television and radio. I must
confess that the impact of that crusade was stunted somewhat by
two things.
WHAT
WAS THAT MESSAGE THAT GOD GAVE ME TO DELIVER?
The
message was a warning from God's Word for everyone to repent
of their sins and begin to live Godly lives in the light of the
scriptures and to begin to seek God with great intensity, honesty,
sincerity and urgency.
Everyone
should know that we are living in the final stages of the last
days, end time of God's grace upon the earth and that our Blessed
Lord Jesus Christ is coming again real soon.
The
Bible says, "If My people, which are called by My name,
shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from
their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive
their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles
7:14)
GOD
PROMISES TO HEAR YOUR PRAYERS AND HEAL YOUR LAND IF YOU DO
THESE FOUR THINGS
God
spells out directions for a Holy Ghost, Holy Spirit, heaven sent
revival! Here is the recipe: If God's people will do four things,
God promises to hear our prayers and bring healing to our Land.
What
are these four things? Are they pinnacles of spiritual growth,
never to be reached?
No,
God would not ask us to do what we could not attain in the
natural. He is not unreasonable. The Bible says, "Come now,
and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as
scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like
crimson, they shall be as wool". (Isaiah 1:18)
WE
CAN DO THESE FOUR THINGS:
1.
Humble Ourselves
2. Pray
3. Seek God's Face
4. Turn from our wicked ways
The
Bible says, "God resisteth the proud and giveth grace to the
humble".
SEEK
YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD
We
must look to God for help - not to ourselves, government
officials, business leaders, educators or others. Jesus said,
"Seek ye FIRST the Kingdom of God and all these things shall
be added unto you". (Matthew 6:33)
We
can and must HUMBLE ourselves and get rid of all dirty, filthy,
sinful pride as we reach out to love everyone regardless of skin
color, racial background, educational or social standing or
financial worth.
And
the scriptural way to humble ourselves is to fast. We must realize
that we cannot save ourselves or heal the hearts of people in our
strength. God is our source. He is the Saviour & Deliverer.
Let
us begin to PRAY to God on a regular basis as we praise Him for
His love and grace. God wants us to make our petitions known
to Him FIRST before we ask our fellowmen for help.
King
Asa was diseased in his feet and went to the physicians for help
instead of praying to the Lord. The Bible says, "Asa
sought the help of the physicians and died". (2
Chronicles 16:12) It is not wrong to seek help of
physicians so long as you have sought God first and have laid out
your petition to Him first.
It
is God who rules in the lives of men. Let us not forget that. That
is why St. Paul stated, "Pray without ceasing".
(1 Thessalonians 5:17) What did he mean?
Stay in an attitude of prayer. Keep your lines of communication
open between God and yourself.
ONLY
GOD CAN HEAL OUR LAND
We
can and must pray and go even further. Let us SEEK GOD with all
our hearts. In order to seek God, we must walk close enough to Him
to see His face and feel His power,
To
seek God means to desire His presence. To want to be near Him and
share all our intimate and urgent needs with Him. And to spend
time praising and thanking Him for all His goodness to us.
By
God's grace, let us all TURN AWAY from the lusts of the flesh and
the sins of the spirit and conduct ourselves as true followers of
Christ in all humility and righteousness. We have His promise that
when we, the Church, have done these things, then God will hear
our prayers and answer in great demonstration of Holy Ghost power.
The
Bible says, "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the
unrighteousness man his thoughts: and let him return unto the
Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will
abundantly pardon". (Isaiah 55:7)
"Be
ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what
fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what
communion hath light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14)
"Having
a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn
away." (2 Timothy 3:5)
TURN
YOUR FACE TO THE WALL
When
King Hezekiah became ill, the prophet came to him with a message, "...Thus
saith the Lord, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and
not live". (2 Kings 20:1)
The
scriptures tell us that King Hezekiah turned his face to the wall
and "wept sore" (v.3) as he repented and asked
for mercy. God heard his prayer and gave him an additional fifteen
years of life.
Whatever
problem you may have, God is greater than all the power of the
devil and sin. He is greater than sickness, disease, fear and
poverty! Praise God forever.
The
solution comes when we turn our faces to the wall and ask Jesus to
intervene! His Word states, "And call upon Me in the
day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me".
(Psalms 50:15)
It's
high time to surrender to the Lord's Word and will. "...turn
yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your
abominations." (Ezekiel 14:6) "...and how ye
turned to God from idols to serve the living and True God."
(1 Thessalonians 1:9)
The
Bible says, "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the
unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return (TURN) unto the
Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will
abundantly pardon". (Isaiah 55:7)
SHOWDOWN
AT SUNSET
God's
people had corrupted themselves with idol worship from the
greatest to the least. Only ELIJAH and a faithful silent group of
7,000 who had not bowed their knees to Baal.
The
prophet Elijah was grieved in his heart and brought down God's
judgment upon that wicked nation in the form of a drought. After 3
1/2 years, ELIJAH showed himself and COMMANDED all the false
prophets to gather on Mount Carmel for a showdown.
This
was his challenge, "...How long halt ye between two
opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow
him".
God's
Word says, "My people have committed two evils, They have
forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out
cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water".
(Jeremiah 2:13)
God
- in His great wisdom and compassion - marveled at the foolishness
of His people. It's almost ludicrous that a man who knew God would
forsake Him, turn away from the true God and be deceived by the
devil into worshipping dead idols. This was the case with Solomon
when he became old! (1 Kings 11:1-10)
How
anyone could leave the Church, the Gospel and the goodness of God,
with it's fountain of living water and be turned to dumb idols,
sinful practices, lustful pleasures, greed and the doctrine of
works, I WILL NEVER KNOW!
For
these are no more than broken cisterns that can hold no water, NO
PEACE, NO JOY, NO FORGIVENESS, NO HEALING AND NO PROMISE OF
ETERNAL LIFE.
The
Bible says, "...In Thy presence is fullness of joy; at Thy
right hand there are pleasures for evermore". (Psalms 16:11)
The
answers to man's perplexing questions and the riddles of life, are
found only through Jesus Christ our Lord and in His Divinely
Inspired and Sacred Word, The Bible. On Christ the solid
rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand."
WE
MUST PREPARE OURSELVES FOR A TIME OF TROUBLE
We
are living in the End Times - The rapture of the church is near.
A large segment of the Christian community seems to be living
under an illusion that the rapture of the church will take place
before anyone tastes even a little bit of difficulty and
tribulation.
LET
ME SAY CLEARLY THAT THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE FALLACY AND
UNSCRIPTURAL TEACHING
At
the onset however, let me clarify that I believe in a
pre-tribulation rapture and that the Church of Jesus Christ WILL
NOT go through the Great Tribulation, written of in the Book
of Revelation. In fact, there are three Tribulation Periods
spoken of in the Bible.
THE
FIRST TRIBULATION - The first tribulation began on the day of
Pentecost and the devil has been tribulating and persecuting the
Church ever since. The first tribulation period will
conclude when the last gentile is saved by the precious blood of
Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ returns in the first stage of His
coming.
THE
SECOND TRIBULATION - The second tribulation is that period of
seven years known as "Jacob's Troubles" or "Daniels
70th Week" and the second tribulation is also known as the
"Great Tribulation". The second tribulation will
begin the moment Christ's bride is taken away from this earth and
will conclude just before the beginning of "The Millennial
Reign of Christ". This will be a time when God out
pours His wrath on the Ant-Christ and a wicked world.
THE
THIRD TRIBULATION - The third tribulation begins when the feet
of Jesus Christ stand on the Mount of Olives in the second stage
of His return. (Zechariah 14:4). The resurrected glorified
Son of God and Savior will then mount a white horse (Revelation
19:11) and ride out to the Valley of Jehosophat, to conquer the
Anti-Christ. This I refer to as The Anti-Christ's
Tribulation.
Jesus
Christ will destroy the Anti-Christ with the breath his mouth.
Are we living in the
LAST
DAYS BEFORE
THE
GREAT
TRIBULATION?
by
Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.
The
Bible states: "And I looked, and behold a pale horse:
and his name that sat upon him was Death, and Hell followed with
him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of
the earth, to kill with sword (war), and with hunger (famine), and
with death (tsunamis, war, earthquakes, mudslides etc), and with
the beasts of the earth (ie: Mad Cow, Monkey Pox, West Nile
Virus, Sars.)" (Revelation 6:8)
PEOPLE
ARE ARE EDGE WONDERING WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS
People
are afraid, people are nervous and anxious and full of fear.
We are living in a world that is suddenly not a safe place to be.
We are living in a world full of terrorism, wars, new frightening
diseases and viruses and startling weather disasters that are
wiping out thousands of people in seconds.
On
September 11 - the world changed. On September 11 - Satan
was rejoicing. On September 11 - Satan scored a victory.
But I am here to tell you that SATAN CAN BE DEFEATED.
Yes
- the world changed drastically on September 11. What was a
relatively safe, comfortable existence turned instantly into a
world of terror.
The
Islamic terrorist group al Qaeda and its leader Osama bin Laden
accomplished something very important on September 11. The
terrorists took away our freedom, the freedom to feel safe, the
freedom to feel secure.
And
September 11 was only the beginning. The world is
dealing with so many issues that its hard for people to cope.
Our
world is literally falling apart. Our air is polluted, our
water is polluted, we are experiencing earthquakes, tidal waves,
tsunamis is places that are totally unexpected and at the greatest
magnitudes ever recorded. Global warming is threatening our
very existence and the new diseases & viruses we are seeing in
animals and food products are alarming.
WHAT
WILL BE NEXT IS THE QUESTION ON THE MINDS OF PEOPLE
The
whole creation, including the earth and all living creatures
therein, the cosmos and all universes that our Lord has created,
are groaning and travailing in pain and travail "together
until now."
The
earth is "running down" as Science teaches it will.
Man has polluted the air, polluted the water and the earth.
The earth is polluting and destroying itself through earthquakes,
tidal waves, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions.
NATURE,
through solar storms, falling meteors, black holes, white holes
and worm holes is doing damage to the universe. Tornados,
cyclones, tsunamis and severe electrical storms cause great bodily
harm and death to people and animals, as well as destroying
millions of acres of timber annually through forest fire.
The
animals and wild life are themselves polluters, spreading disease
amongst themselves, as well as being purveyors of many deadly
diseases to the human population.
AIDS,
SARS, MAD COW DISEASE, WEST NILE VIRUS - LAST DAYS PRE-TRIBULATION
BIBLE PROPHECY ?
Are
these diseases and viruses the starting point of what is coming
next during the GREAT TRIBULATION ? I believe
that the outbreak of AIDS, SARS, Ebola virus, Lyme disease, Mad
Cow disease (BSE), Foot and Mouth disease (FDM), West Nile Virus,
Hanta Virus, Monkey Pox and the latent TB and drug resistant TB
that is now rampant (2 billion world wide) is surely Bible
prophecy being fulfilled.
There
are also so many new viruses, bacteria and parasites spread by
animals, rodents and pests to human beings. Are these new
viruses from animals also a precursor to the awful things which
will happen during the GREAT TRIBULATION.
NEW
VIRUSES APPEARING AT FASTER RATES, SCIENTISTS BELIEVE
A
headline that appeared (August 2003) in the Washington Post, must
have sent shock waves through the Medical Community and the
general population. From a theological perspective, the
connection between Biblical eschatology and the phenomenal parade
of new emerging viruses being passed from animals to humans, this
new report is very significant.
Are
the news diseases Sars, Mad Cow Disease, West Nile Virus, Bird flu
and many others biblical prophecies. Are these world
disasters, extreme weather changes, world disasters and mounting
hatred, wars and nations turning against nations world wide BIBLE
PROPHECY coming to pass.
The
Bible states: "And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his
name that sat upon him was Death, and Hell followed with him.
And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to
kill with sword (war), and with hunger (famine), and with
death (tsunamis, war, earthquakes, mudslides etc), and with
the beasts of the earth (Mad Cow, Monkey Pox, West Nile Virus,
Sars.") (Revelation 6:8)
For
a very long time Bible scholars were unable to understand this
verse. Everyone had serious questions about beasts being
a source of so many people dying. When S.A.R.S. struck
the world with a vengeance a few years ago, the meaning of the
scripture became very evident. St. John's prophecy was so
absolutely clear!
THE
BIBLE SCHOLARS CONVENTIONAL WISDOM WAS WRONG
The
prevalent though was that when famine came, the wild beasts from
the forests would enter the cities and towns and kill people for
food. Some translations of Revelation 6:8 placed the words
'wild beasts' in their study notes.
Now
we know how wrong that interpretation was. God's Word is
absolutely perfect! As a theologian who has studied the Holy
Bible scriptures for over 40 years I believe this to be
pre-Tribulation more and more as the truth in revealed through
events that happen round about us.
In
my research, I found found that SARS, Lyme Disease, Foot &
Mouth disease, Mad Cow disease, Hanta virus, Monkey pox, Ebola
virus, Aids and West Nile Fever are diseases that have all come
from animals (beasts) or rodents and insects (pests).
Jesus
warned: "For nation shall rise against nation, and
kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and
PESTILENCES, and earthquakes, in divers places." (Matthew
24:7).
Rob
Stein wrote: "It happens again and again. Strange and
frightening new infections seem to appear out of no where, such as
Lyme disease, Ebola and of course, AIDS. With Monkeypox
coming on the heels of Sars, which emerged not long after West
Nile, it is a phenomenon that seems to be happening at an
accelerating rate.
"Scientists
agree that the trend is alarming and appears to be gathering
speed. In the coming years, they say, dangerous new
pathogens emerging."
WE
ARE SURROUNDED BY DEATH & DESTRUCTION - THE WORLD HAS BECOME
UNCERTAIN & FEARFUL
On
every hand, we see death and destruction. The Bible states
that, "the whole world lieth in wickedness." (1
John 5:19); "And the world passeth away and the lust thereof,
but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever." (1 John
2:15-18)
No
only they, but OURSELVES also, which have the first fruits of the
Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the
adoption, that is to say, the redemption (resurrection) of our
body.
SATAN
IS HARD AT WORK AND SATAN'S INFLUENCE IS PRESENT EVERYWHERE
SATAN'S
FILTH & STENCH can be seen, heard and felt across the
world. His evil, unholy and corrupting influence is
everywhere present; in homes, communities and nations, as well as
in academia, the government, commerce, judicial systems and in the
church.
The
truth is that the whole world lies in wickedness and Satan is
the "prince of the power of the air." Satan
is the author of the "spirit of disobedience"
that pervades society today. This "spirit of
disobedience" is affecting millions of people across the
earth. (Ephesians 2:2, Ephesians 5:6, Colossians 3:6)
Even
though we as Christians are filled with the Holy Spirit and have
fellowship with Jesus and each other, we live in a flesh and blood
body. We are constantly being bombarded with temptations.
We have Christ's promise of divine healing, but we are still
subject to ageing and death.
St.
Paul states that we groan inwardly because of our limitations and
desire to be clothed with a glorified body, knowing that one day
we will be changed and receive a glorified body similar to
Christ's.
The
Bible says: "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath
bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:
therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not."
"Beloved,
now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we
shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like
Him, for we shall see Him as He is." (1 John 3:1-2).
Death
and corruption have been present on this earth and in the cosmos
since the terrible 'fall of man' in the Garden of Eden.
Everything is subject to the 'Second Law of Thermodynamics' - that
of ageing, deteriorating and corruption. There is no
escaping it.
Everyone
that is born dies eventually and will go back to the dust of the
earth. All great men and their empires, small or great will
deteriorate and go to ruin. Now the universe is running out
of steam and Bible Prophecy is being fulfilled and will continue
to be fulfilled as time goes on.
JESUS
demanded: “…Whosever will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For
whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall
lose his life for My sake and the gospel’s the same shall save
it.”
“For
what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world, and
lose his own soul?
Whosoever
therefore shall be ashamed of Me and of My words in this
adulterous and sinful generation, of him also shall the Son of Man
be ashamed, when He cometh in the glory of His Father with the
holy angels.”
(Mark 8: 34–38).
Christ’s
Victory and Satan’s Defeat is our Liberty
for time and
eternity! Amen and Amen.

PREPARE
FOR BATTLE

How
to fight the Devil
How
to conquer the devil
How
to have power over the devil, demons & evil spirits
1
Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary
the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may
devour."
THE
DEVIL IS REAL, HE IS YOUR ENEMY. THE DEVIL WANT TO DESTROY
YOU
"....that
through DEATH He might DESTROY him that had the power of death,
that is the DEVIL: And DELIVER them who through fear of death
were all their lifetime subject to
bondage." (Hebrews 2:14-15)
For
the past
50 years, I have had the privilege of counseling people
who have written, telephoned or approached me privately
regarding family and personal problems or other crisis, in
which they were deeply involved.
People
often call, muttering on the other end of line, "Why
did I do it? What makes me drink? I've got to pull myself
together. I'm losing my mind."
They
often end up by saying, "I hadn't planned to do it,
Pastor. What went wrong"? Or they might
say, "The devil made me do it, the devil made me do
it".
A
few years ago a Hollywood comedian got a lot of laughs out
of his supposedly funny quip, "The Devil Made Me Do
It." That doesn't seem funny anymore, after the
movies that have stirred millions, like Rosemary's Baby,
The Exorcist and The Omen.
The
Son of Sam, the Hillside Strangler, Charles Manson and the
Sharon Tate killings, together with ritualistic killings
by the occultists and devil worshippers have proved that.
Homosexual murdered like John W. Gacey, who sexually
violated little boys and then murdered them, have
left a solemn imprint on us all, regarding the devil's
ability to make people do his bidding.
The
Bible states that some people are led by the devil, to do
evil things. Those, however, who are taken captive
by him - at his will - are able to extricate themselves
from his evil grasp by calling upon Jesus Christ and
trusting in His shed blood for the redemption of their
souls! "And that they may recover themselves
out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by
him at his will." (2 Timothy 2:26)
Some
time ago a Protestant denomination spent in excess of one
million dollars to investigate and research the topic of
demons and other related matters. After a year of
studies they came up with the conclusion that there is no
devil.
Here
is their reasoning: "If they would preach that there
is a personal devil, people might become disturbed
emotionally, so it's better to do away with the doctrine
that there is a personal devil." HOW
ARROGANT, IGNORANT, UNCONSCIONABLE, DISHONEST &
UNBIBLICAL.
Beloved,
you can rely on God's Word and the truth is that there is
indeed a very alive, real, personal devil that is the
enemy of God and the enemy of man. This however,
does not disturb the children of God, because the Bible
says:
Greater
is He that is in you, that he that is in the world."
(1
John 4:4)
This
Scripture offers great comfort to multiplied millions of
Christians. Our faith in Jesus puts the devil on
notice, that we are off limit to his insidious attacks and
that we have the authority to disrupt his plans and
purposes.
WHEN
OUR FAITH IS IN JESUS CHRIST - SATAN
HAS NO POWER OVER US
The
devil has absolutely no power over us when our faith is in
Christ, for Jesus said: "Behold
I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions,
and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by
any means hurt you."
(Luke 10:19)
This
Scripture offers great comfort to multiplied millions of
Christians! Our faith in Jesus puts the devil on notice,
that we are off-limit to his insidious attacks and that we
have the authority to disrupt his plans and purposes.
He
has absolutely no power over us when our faith is in
Christ, for Jesus said: "Behold
I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions,
and over all the power of the enemy:
and nothing shall by any means hurt you".
(Luke 10:19) The Bible says "Submit
yourselves therefore unto God. Resist the devil, and
he will flee from you."
As
the demons were afraid of Jesus and fled when He commanded
them to go, they must also obey us when we speak with
faith and authority in the name of Jesus.
The
demons screamed out, "Let us
alone, what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of
Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee
who thou art the Holy One of God. Art thou come
hither to torment us before our time"?
(Mark 1:24)
You
may say: "But that was Jesus"! True!
How about a Spirit-filled deacon by the name of Philip who
went down to Samaria and preached Christ to them?
Philip
had such a great revival that the entire city came to hear
him preach and multitudes received the Lord Jesus: "For
unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many
that were possessed with them: and many taken with
palsies, and that were lame, were healed."
(Acts 8:7)
The
Holy Record reports that the devil's power was broken and
evil spirits had to surrender to the commands of a
Spirit-filled servant of God. No wonder Philip had
such power of the devil. Jesus had promised: "And
these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name
shall they cast out devils." (Mark 16:17)
PAUL
CAST OUT THE SPIRIT OF DIVINATION
A
fortune-teller troubled Paul and Silas in the city of
Philippi for several days. After the spirit of
divination was discerned and cast out of her by St. Paul,
she was unable to continue 'telling fortunes'. Paul
and Silas were jailed and bound in a dungeon, but God sent
an earthquake to set them free. And the jailer was
converted through this great miracle.
"And
it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel
possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which
brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same
followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the
servants of the most High God, which shows unto us the way
of salvation.
And this did she many days. But
Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I
command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of
her. And he came out the same hour." (Acts
16:16-18)
The
Scripture says: "And God
wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul. So
that from this body were brought unto the sick,
handkerchiefs and aprons, and the diseases departed from
them, and the evil spirits went out of them."
(Acts 19:11-12)
When
the exorcists heard of St. Paul's success in casting of
demons in Jesus' name, seven sons of a certain religious
man tried unsuccessfully to duplicate that miracle.
"Then
certain of the vagabond Jews, Exorcists, took upon them to
call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord
Jesus saying, We adjure you by Jesus Whom Paul preacheth.
And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief
of the priests, which did so. And the evil spirit
answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know: but who
are ye?"
"And
the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and
overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they
fled out of that house naked and wounded.
And this
was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at
Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the
Lord Jesus was magnified." (Acts 19:13-17)
The
evil spirit within this possessed man cried out to the
seven sons of Sceva. "Jesus I know, and Paul I
know; but who are ye"? The original Greek
actually reads: "Jesus I know, and Paul I am
beginning to know".
Words had sprung through
the devil's kingdom, and demons everywhere were talking
about Paul's revivals. They knew Jesus and they were
beginning to know Paul, but who were these seven sons of
Sceva? They had no faith in God; they had no
standing of righteousness, and the devil would not obey
them.
The
Bible records: "And when He (Jesus) had called unto
Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power against
unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner
of sickness and all manner of diseases." (Matthew
10:1)
The Scripture declares that no only do we have
power against unclean spirits, but we also have power over
them. "And he called
unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two
and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;"
(Mark 6:7)
Our
Lord Jesus gave the apostles power to cast out devils: "As
ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast
out devils: freely ye have received, freely
give." (Matthew 10:7-8)
The Holy
Record states: "And they
cast out devils, and anointed with oil many that were
sick, and healed them." (Mark 6:13)
JESUS
GAVE THE 70 HIS POWER TO CAST OUT DEVILS
"After
these things the Lord appointed another seventy also, and
sent them two and two before His face into every city and
place, whither He Himself would come."
(Luke 10:1)
The Bible says that they returned with
great joy, and said: "Lord,
even the devils are subject unto us through Thy
name." (Luke 10:17) To this Jesus
answered: "I beheld Satan as
lightning fall from heaven." (Luke 10:18)
Jesus was saying - I was there when the devil was
defeated; I saw him cast out of heaven - I saw him fall as
lightning to the earth. I saw his power broken and
his works destroyed.
WE
ALSO HAVE POWER OVER THE DEVIL, DEMONS
& EVIL SPIRITS
Yes,
we also have power over the devil. We have POWER
OVER THE DEVIL and POWER AGAINST THE DEVIL. The
Bible says, "Behold,
I give unto you power to: tread on serpents and scorpions,
and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by
any means hurt you."
(Luke 10:19)
Satan
had to obey when Jesus spoke to him! Demons screamed
out in terror when Jesus came near. The devils
trembled and feared and obeyed the command of the Master.
The devil, demons and evil spirits must also obey us, when
we use the name of Jesus in faith.
JESUS
CAME TO DESTROY SATAN'S WORK
The
Bible says: "As
He is, so are we in this world."
(1 John 4:17) NOW - TODAY. We have His power
today! "Now are
we the sons of God."
(1 John 3:2) "
We are children of God, heirs of God
and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. "And
if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs
with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may
be also glorified together."
(Romans 8:17)
JESUS
SAID: "HE THAT BELIEVETH ON ME, THE WORKS THAT I DO
SHALL HE DO ALSO"
No
wonder Jesus said: "He
that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do
also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I
go unto My Father."
(John 14:12)
Yes, my beloved friend, you and I as
Christians have power over the devil, we have power
against the devil to bind him, to cast him out and to
destroy the works of the devil.
The
Bible says: "How
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and
with power; who went about doing good, and healing all
that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him."
(Acts 10:38)
Jesus said:
"The
thief (the devil) cometh not, but for to steal, and to
kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life,
and that they might have it more abundantly."
(John 10:10) No wonder St. John said: "For
this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might
destroy the works of the devil."
(1 John 3:8)
Not
only did Jesus come to this earth to destroy the works of
the devil, but to destroy Satan himself.
The writer
to the Hebrews (probably St. Paul) states unequivocally: "Forasmuch
then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He
also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through
DEATH He might DESTROY him that had the power of death,
that is the DEVIL; And to DELIVER them who through fear of
death were all their lifetime subject to bondage."
(Hebrews 2:14, 15)
SATAN
- THE DEVIL IS THE HATED ENEMY OF GOD & MAN
Satan
is the hated enemy of God and man, but our Lord has given
His children power over him.
"There
shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come
nigh unto thy dwelling".
Jesus declared: "Nothing shall be any means hurt
you". "That wicked one cometh and
hath nothing in Me."
St. Paul said, "Sin
shall not have dominion over you."
THE
DEVIL - SATAN HAS NO POWER OVER US
And
our Lord stated, "I give unto you power over all the
power of the enemy." Jesus has given us power
against all unclean spirits, to cast them out. SATAN
IS POWERLESS OVER US.
The
Bible does not say that Satan has power over us; to put
disease upon us, to make us fearful, to hurt us or to
injure us. A THOUSAND TIMES NO.
The
Bible says: "Submit
yourself therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he
will flee from you." (James
4:7) "The
devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he
may devour. Whom resist steadfast in the
faith." (1
Peter 5:8, 9)
IT
IS TRUE - YOU AND I AS CHRISTIANS HAVE POWER OVER THE
DEVIL
Jesus
said: "I
have overcome the world."
(John 16:33) St. Paul declared: "Nay,
in all things we are more than conquerors through Him that
loved us."
(Romans 8:37)
The
Apostle to the Gentiles cried out: "I
can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth
me."
(Philippians 4:13)
The
Word of God says: "Who
shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall
tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or
nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these
things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved
us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor
life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor
things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth,
nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from
the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
(Romans 8:35-39)
The
Bible speaks of Satan's total defeat: "At
the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of things in
heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
(Philippians 2:10-11) Praise God.
Jesus
called the devil Satan, which means the ADVERSARY, and
Satan is the adversary of God and the devil Satan is the
adversary of man.
SATAN
IS OUR GREATEST ENEMY!
The devil is responsible for sin, sickness, disease, fear,
depression, torment and death. Satan (the devil)
conspired against God.
The devil led a revolt
against the Almighty. Satan (the devil) is indeed
the adversary. St. Peter said: "Be
sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a
roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may
devour."
(1 Peter 5:8)
The
Scripture tells us about a man who planted good seed in a
field and in the morning, tares had sprung up among the
wheat. The husbandman said:
"An
enemy hath done this."
(Matthew 13:28)
YES
- THE DEVIL IS YOUR WORST ENEMY
Yes,
my beloved friend, the devil is your enemy! The
devil works through the flesh, through the world through
his evil emissaries, the demons.
Satan (the devil)
is highly organized; the devil is out to defeat the
purposes of God even though he knows he has NO chance of
succeeding, for he has been defeated.
On
Calvary's cross Jesus cried, "It is finished."
(John 19:30) The Greek word that Jesus used here is
tetelastai. Tetelestai means that the work of Christ
to redeem lost mankind has been completed.
Jesus
cried out "Tetelestai", bowed His head and gave
up the ghost. At that moment the veil in
the temple in Jerusalem was torn from its top to the
bottom, opening the way to God through His Son's vicarious
death on the cross. The word 'tetelstai' comes from
a Greek verb teleo, which has three essential
meanings:
to
finish something
to fulfill something
to pay what is owed
Jesus
Christ had just completed the plan of the ages, the
salvation of the human race. He had fulfilled every
Old Testament Scriptures that the prophets had written
about the coming Messiah, and He had paid our sin debt in
full so that we could be saved.
Three
days and three nights later, God raised Jesus Christ from
the dead for our justification, and forever sealed the
doom of the devil in the lake of fire. (Acts 2:31-34;
Acts 3:14-15; Acts 4:1, 10; Romans 1:4)
SPIRITUAL
WARFARE - THE BATTLE WE ARE
FIGHTING IS A SPIRITUAL BATTLE
The
Bible reveals that the battle we are fighting is NOT
CARNAL. It is not a natural, ordinary battle, but is
of a spiritual nature.
We have God's weapons and we
have power with God over the devil. "For the
weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through
God to the pulling down of strongholds; Casting down
imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity
every thought to the obedience of Christ." (2
Corinthians 10:4)
We
have power over the devil (Luke 10:19) for we are
ambassadors of the kingdom of God. (2 Corinthians 5:20)
We are servants of the living God; (Romans 6:22) sons and
daughters of God; (2 Corinthians 6:18) heirs and
joint-heirs with Christ. (Romans 8:17)
We
are bone of Jesus' bone and flesh of His flesh; (Ephesians
5:30) our bodies are the temples of the Holy Ghost, (1
Corinthians 6:19) and we are members of the body of
Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:27)
Sin
does not have dominion over us. (Romans 6:14) Satan
(the devil) does not have power over us. We have
power over the flesh, the world and the devil, because we
are God's people.
We are God's children. (Galatians
3:26) As He is, so are we in this world! (1 John
4:17) The Bible states that the 'Old Man' is dead
and that we are "hid with Christ in God"!
(Colossians 3:3)
The
Scriptures reveal that there are demons who work against
God's children and against God's will:
"Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the
first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand,
and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were
heard, and I am come for thy words."
"But
the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and
twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes
came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of
Persia."
(Daniel 10:12-13)
I
believe that Satan is highly organized and has some
powerful generals, captains, lieutenants and others in his
diabolical army, whose duty is to harass, tempt, condemn,
seduce, deceive, destroy, steal, kill and murder God's
children and try to thwart the purposes of God and do harm
to His kingdom.
The
Bible says:
"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ
Jesus." (Philippians
2:5) We can have the mind of Christ. "Let
the word of God dwell in you richly." (Colossians
3:16)
Jesus is the Living Word and the Bible is the
written word. When we read the Bible and allow God's
Word free course, Christ dwells within us. Upon
receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, Christ is
formed within us and we are born again. The Bible
says: "If
any man have not met the Spirit of Christ, he is none of
His." (Romans
8:9)
When
we receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, however, the
Holy Spirit fills us and takes up permanent residence
within us. Jesus said:
"He is with you and He shall be in you."
The Bible says: "And
they were all filled with the Holy Ghost..."
(Acts 2:4)
Even
though the devil is highly organized and seeks to destroy
us, and even though he is constantly try to afflict,
depress and torment, we can drive him
out: "Draw
nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you."
When you draw nigh to God and God draws nigh to you, you
receive power over the devil. The Bible says: "If
our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward
God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of
Him..." (1
John 3:21-22)
The
Scripture says:
"There
is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in
Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the
Spirit." (Romans
8:1)
Sin is what destroys the confidence we have in
God. Sin is a faith destroyer. Sin destroys
our confidence in God and in ourselves and allows the
devil to slip in with his evil, devious, wicked and
sinister devices to harass us, stop us, or destroy us.
We
have power over him, however, for the Bible says:
"They
overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb and by
the word of their testimony."
(Revelation 12:11)
We can stop the devil, for the
Bible says: "When
the enemy, (the devil) shall come in like a flood, the
Spirit of God shall lift up a standard against him." (Isaiah
59:19) The standard that the Holy Spirit lifts up
stops the devil and he can proceed only so far; he can go
no further.
The
devil complained to God: "You
have put a hedge around Job. You are protecting
him." And
that's true.
God has placed a hedge around His
people, and
I believe that when the devil comes in like a flood to
destroy, kill and murder, the Spirit of God raises up a
standard to stop him. We are surrounded by the power of
the Lord.
We
are covered with His blood and filled with His Spirit.
The Word of God is within our hearts. We have the
name of Jesus on our lips, the angels protect us and we
have brothers and sisters in Christ who pray for us and
stand with us. These are some of the agencies God
used for our benefit.
Yes
indeed, when the enemy - the devil - shall come in like a
flood to devastate and destroy, the Spirit of God will
lift up a standard against him and stop him! The devil is
like a dog on a leash, with only limited capabilities.
SATAN
CAN ONLY GO SO FAR
If
God hadn't allowed the devil to attack Job, Satan couldn't
have touched him. God
gave the devil permission to touch Job's cattle, and his
body, but not his life. (Job 2:6)
Satan had to leave
the presence of God to smite Job with sore boils.
The Bible instructs us to remember the patience of Job and
the end of the Lord.
Job was sick for approximately six months to a
year, and then God healed him. He lived for another 140
years and never had another boil, as far as the Scriptures
record.
God
gave Job twice as much as he had before the devil
afflicted him. Many people laughingly speak about
Job's boils and say that Christians have to suffer
similarly, but the Bible records the "patience of
Job" and it also speaks about "the end of the
Lord". (James 5:11) The end of the Lord was
blessing, prosperity, healing, health, joy, peace and
power over the devil.
St.
Paul wrote to Timothy: "God
hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of
love, and of a sound mind."
(2 Timothy 1:7)
Evidently, Timothy was afraid and
St. Paul writing to his son in the faith saying: "You
don't have to be afraid, Timothy. God hasn't given
us a spirit of fear." Fear is a spirit and fear
hath torment. The Scripture says: "Perfect love casts
out fear." (1 John
4:18)
Fear
is an evil spirit. God
has not given us any evil spirits; He has given us power
over evil spirits.
God
has not given us a spirit of fear, but God has given us a
spirit of power: Power over fear: power of
sin: power over the devil: power over
sickness: power over disease and even power over
death, which is the last enemy.
It
seems that Timothy had gotten cold in his soul, because
St. Paul wrote: "...that
thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the
putting on of my hands...Be not thou therefore ashamed of
the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner:
but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel
according to the power of God."
(2 Timothy 1:6,8)
Apparently,
Timothy had become ashamed of St. Paul and he was afraid
of persecution; afraid that he would also be persecuted.
Paul said: "You don't
need to be afraid; God didn't give you that; the devil put
that on you. God has given you power, love and a
sound mind."
Hallelujah.
BE
PREPARED FOR BATTLE - PUT ON THE
WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD
Writing
to the Ephesians, St. Paul stated.
"Finally,
my brethren, be
strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able
to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but
against principalities, against powers, against the rulers
of the darkness of this world, against spiritual
wickedness in high places."
"Wherefore
take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able
to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to
stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about
with truth, and having on the breastplate of
righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of
the gospel of peace;"
"Above
all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be
able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the
Spirit, which is he word of God; Praying always with
al prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching
thereunto with all perserverance and supplication for all
saints."
(Ephesians
6:10-11)
Satan
is organized and has power, but God has all power.
God is omnipotent. The devil has wisdom, but God has
all wisdom. He is omniscient. The Wicked One,
Satan is strong, but God has all strength. The
Adversary (Satan) has many demons working for him, but God
has more angels than Satan has evil spirits. Satan
has many lost souls in his camp, but God has hundreds of
millions of believers across the world, that are equipped
with His mighty power. And one man with God's power
is a majority.
JESUS
GAVE US POWER OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY (THE DEVIL,
SATAN, DEMONS, EVIL SPIRITS)
Jesus
Christ said, "Behold,
I give unto you power over all the power of the enemy, and
nothing shall by any means hurt you."
The Scripture says that 'one day' an angel will come from
heaven and bind Satan, casting him into the bottomless pit
for a thousand years. It won't take ten thousand
angels; it won't take a hundred angels' it will take one
angel to bind the devil and cast him into the pits of hell
forever. (Revelation 20:1-3) Hallelujah!
Amen.
WHAT MUST
I DO
TO BE SAVED?
Jesus
said, "Come unto Me all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
Yes,
my dear friend, God is still in the business of setting men and
women free from their sins, sorrows, heartbreaks, fears and
troubles. In this age of frustrations, nervous tensions and
mental collapses, Jesus Christ is still granting peace to the
troubled, joy to the discouraged, strength to the weary and
healing to the sick!
1
- YOU MUST ADMIT THAT YOU ARE A SINNER
The
Bible says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
God”. (Rom. 3:23) “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have
turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the
iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:6)
2
- YOU MUST BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD
You
MUST believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that Jesus died
on the cross, was buried and rose again from the dead.
“That
whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal
life. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that
believeth not is condemned already.” (John 3:15,18) “Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My word, and believeth on
Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into
condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:24)
3
- YOU MUST REPENT OF YOUR SINS
The
Bible says, “…except ye repent, ye shall all likewise
perish.” (Luke 13:3) “Let the wicked forsake his way and the
unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord,
and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will
abundantly pardon”. (Isaiah 55:7)
4
- YOU MUST RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOUR
The
Bible says: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish,
but have everlasting life”. (John 3:16)
“Behold,
I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open
the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he
with Me.” (Rev. 3:20) “He that hath the Son hath life: and he
that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” (1 John 5:12)
5
- YOU MUST CONFESS JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD
The
Bible says: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation”. (Romans 10:9-10)
“…Whosoever
shall confess Me before men, him shall the Son of man confess
before the angels of God: But he that denieth Me before men shall
be denied before the angels of God.” (Luke 12:8, 9)
HOW
DO I INVITE
JESUS CHRIST INTO MY LIFE?
Pray
to God, a prayer - from your heart.
Tell Him that you
are a sinner and that you need forgiveness. Tell him that
you believe Jesus Christ died for your sins. Tell him that
you are willing to change, to turn away from sin. Ask Jesus
Christ to come into your heart and life and be your personal
Saviour.
"But
as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons
of God, even to them that believe on his name." (John 1:12)
"Therefore
if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2
Corinthians 5:17)
If
you prayed and ask Jesus Christ into your heart - YOU HAVE NOW
RECEIVED THE GIFT OF SALVATION - YOU HAVE BECOME A CHILD OF GOD.
God Bless You.

BIBLE
SCRIPTURES ON:
end times,
the last days, the tribulations, Bible prophecy, second coming
Jesus
(King James
Version)
Matthew
24:6 (kjv)
- And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye
be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the
end is not yet.
Matthew
24:7 (kjv)
- For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against
kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and
earthquakes, in divers places. Deuteronomy
4:30-35-
(kjv) - When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are
come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord
thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
(For
the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee,
since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from
the one side of heaven as this great thing is, or hath been heard
like it: Did
every people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of
the fire, as thou hast heard, and live? Or
hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of
another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by
war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by
great terrors, according to all that the Lord your God did for you
in Egypt before your eyes? Unto thee it was shewed, that
thou mightest know that the Lord he is God: there is none else
beside him." Judges
10:14
- (kjv) - Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them
deliver you in the time of your tribulation.
Matthew
13:21
- (kjv) - Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while:
for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word,
by and by he is offended. Matthew
7:13
- (kjv) - Enter
ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the
way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in
thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way,
that leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew
16:27
- (kjv) - For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father
with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to
his works. Matthew
24:21-24 (kjv)
- For then
shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of
the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22. And
except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh
be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be
shortened. 23. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here
is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24. For there shall
arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great
signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall
deceive the very elect.
Matthew
24:27 (kjv)
-For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even
unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matthew
24:29 (kjv)
- Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be
darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars
shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be
shaken.

of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of

with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory Matthew
25:32 (kjv)
- And
before him shall be gathered all nations; and he shall separate
them one from another, as a shepherd divedeth his sheep from the
goats: 33.
And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his
left. 34.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye
blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from
the foundation of the world. John
16:33
- (kjv) - "These things, I have spoken unto you that in me ye
might have peace. "In the world ye shall have
tribulation, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the
world." Romans
5:3-4
- (kjv) - And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also; know
that tribulation worketh patience, And patience, experience; and
experience, hope, And hope maketh not ashamed: because the love of
God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given
unto us. Ephesians

- And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free
and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their
foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save that he had the
mark, or the name of the beast: for it is the number of a man, and
his number is Six hundred threescore and six. 1

Peter 3:6.
Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water,
perished: 2

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are
kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and

Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
