I
HAD LOST ALL HOPE
I
wanted to die - tried to kill myself
BUT THEN
Jesus
Rescued Me
I had lost all hope, I was an emotional
wreck, I wanted to die. I had many thoughts of killing
myself and then I received a healing from Jesus. I
was saved, healed, delivered and filled with The Holy Spirit.
Dear Pastor Max Solbrekken:
I am writing to let you know that
everything in my life is changing for the better since February
14, 1996.
MY
WIFE LEFT ME - I WAS A HOPELESS ADDICT AND
AN EMOTIONAL WRECK
I was born again on that fateful day.
I never really knew what happened to me. Before that day,
i was an emotional wreck. I wanted to die because my wife
left me. I was so hurt because everything looked so
hopeless to me! I thought the only way out would be to
take my own life. I was at the end of my rope.
I
WANTED TO DIE - I THOUGHT OF SUICIDE
I was addicted to alcohol, drugs and many
worldly pleasures. These addictions used to drag me to
places I never dreamed I would go. I even drank with the
winos when I had no money to drink.
I always got into fights, hoping that
someone who hurt me enough to kill me. I would even drink
and drink, hoping that I would not make it home.
HOPELESS
WITH NO WHERE TO TURN - I
WANTED TO KILL MYSELF
I didn't know where to turn. I went to my
parents for comfort, but it never helped. I ran straight
to the bars to look for someone to help me ease my pain, but I
knew it would be wrong. It never felt right for me because
I want things to work out for me.
SO
CONFUSED ABOUT EVERYTHING - I PICKED
UP MY GUN TO KILL MYSELF
I never went through with my plan. I
was running out of money and felt like it was my last straw.I
was crying so much that I didn't even know my son was at home.
THERE
STOOD MY SON LOOKING AT ME WITH THE
GUN IN MY HAND
The look on my
son's face shocked me
The look in his eyes surprised me because
I was going to leave my kids on their own. At that moment
I made up my mind that it was not the way out for me. I phoned
my Dad up and asked me to come over for prayer, to help me
through my hard times. My parents prayed for me. I
didn't feel a thing happen to me. I was still sore and
heavy.
I would stay up and cry for hours and pray
for myself. I was so mad at myself that I beat myself up.
My face was a bit swollen the next day.
MY
DAD TOLD ME, "GO TO CHURCH, TAKE
IT TO THE LORD"
I kept phoning my wife begging her to come
home, but he kept saying "NO." I phoned my Dad
again asking him what I could do to get out of this situation
that was happening to me. All my Dad could say was,
"Go to church, take it to the Lord." My Dad told
me there were evangelists at the church. He said Max
Solbrekken and a couple of other evangelists were there, George
Joseph and Jerry Eppinga.
I went to the service the first night but
I only stayed for a short time. The second night I
returned to the service. I talked to you, Pastor
Solbrekken and told you my problems. You talked to me a
bit but you said for me to come up during alter call and you
would pray for me.
I still had a pack of smokes and a lottery
ticket on me. I kept saying, "What if this or that
happened and I became a Christian?" Nothing happened
that night.
I
WENT TO CHURCH FOR 3 NIGHTS
The 3rd night everything
happened to me.
Everyone was praying for me. I
didn't feel much of anything. But when it came to testify,
I went up and confessed what kind of person I was and things
started to lift from e. There was something happening to
me. I finished the testimony and it was the time that
songs are usually sung.
I thought, "I'm going to give this a
shot." The first song that came to mind was the song
'Amazing Grace'. I started to sing and there were people
behind me praying for me. I felt such an electrical charge
that all my nerves were surging with an electrical force.
My whole body started to shake all over. I didn't know
what had happened to me.
I went to sit down where my daughter was
sitting. The instrument players began to sing. I got
up to sing and praise the Lord also. I never really knew
what happened to me. My body started to dance without my
help. I didn't know what was going on then, but I felt
free from every affliction and addiction.
I was so happy that I ran around hugging
people and shaking people's hands, which was very odd behavior
for me. Man, I felt no shame. I was so happy.
JESUS
GAVE ME A MIRACLE HEALING
I am a new man in Jesus Christ
I used to be addicted to alcohol, drugs
and worldly pleasures. These additions used to drag me to
places I never dreamed I would go. I even drank with the
winos when I had no money to drink.
I always got into fights, hoping that
someone who hurt me enough to kill me. I would even drink
and drink, hoping that I would not make it home.
Everything I used to try has ended. Thanks to the Lord!
I am even cured from arthritis, angleosis
spondelitis. Everything that has happened to me was not in
one night. I kept going back for prayer.
I
STARTED RUNNING TO GET HEALTHY
IN BODY & SOUL
I
started to run every chance I got after I was saved and born
again. It took me about a month of training to run 12
miles. I kept praying to the Lord to keep me. I kept
running and getting healthy and stronger in body and soul for
Christ. I thank our Father for giving us Jesus to die for our
sins. To give us a second chance to see the Kingdom of
God.
MY
DAD IS MY BEST FRIEND NOW
I
love my parents for praying for me always, and for staying
faithful to Jesus Christ our Lord. My Dad is my best
friend now, and my Mom teaches me about the Lord. I READ
THE BIBLE EVERY OPPORTUNITY I GET.
I
THANK THE LORD FOR MY LIFE
Now,
I see things I never saw when I was blinded by the world.
I look at all the evil I was in and I never knew how blind I
was. I thank the Lord for my life and my children who are
with me.
The
gun that was to kill me shot a moose last fall. Thank you
Lord for your blessings. There is a scripture I
would like to share that is in Jeremiah 24:6, which I believe is
true for me.
"For
I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them
again to this land, and I will build them, and not pull them
down, and I will plant them, and not pluck them up."

Heavenly Father,

ask for Thy great mercy and grace. I acknowledge my
sinfulness and confess that I cannot save myself. I
believe the GOOD NEWS that Jesus paid the penalty for m sins,
through His vicarious death on the cross."
"I
believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead according to the
Scriptures and He has the power and authority to forgive my sins
and save my soul. I repent of my sins and am willing to
forsake them with the help of the Holy Spirit."
"I
now renounce the devil and all his works and all his ways and I
now receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, my Master and my
God. Come into my heart and save me now, for Christs'
sake. Thank you Lord, for saving my soul. In Jesus
precious' name, I pray." Amen.
