Is Canada Becoming
the next
SODOM & GOMORRAH?

"Repent,
and turn yourselves from all your transgressions....A new heart also will
I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away
the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of
flesh. And will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in
My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgments, and do them." (Ezekiel
18:31; Ezekiel 36:26, 27)
Corruption,
perversion, immorality, drunkenness, drug abuse and violence are all
emerging at the same time. It is a reflection of the low moral
attitude of our
politicians and their lack of adherence to God's laws! It means
that SIN is in fashion and old fashioned holiness and righteousness is
not in vogue. It means that mankind is sinful and getting worse as the
years come and go. It means that we are all candidates for a sweeping
revival of God consciousness!
WHAT
IS THE ANSWER? We need to do as the Bible
commands! We need to REPENT of our pride, arrogance, self
righteousness and believing that we can make it on our own. We
cannot! The Bible says: “The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately wicked: who can know it?” ; “All we like sheep have
gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath
laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53: 6); “For all have
sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
HERE
IS THE ANSWER:
“Repentance toward God and Faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Acts
20:21). And Obedience to the Holy Bible which is God's Word. What we need
in our leaders is humility before God and bedrock faith in our Lord Jesus
Christ because we cannot do it on our own. Our foolish pride has waylaid
us and in our folly we have looked to the genius of man and discovered
that we have fallen into a trap of our own making.
We
have set up our own gods which are made in our image and have lost our
way. MALCOLM MUGGERIDGE, former Marxist, celebrated writer,
broadcaster and actor who converted to Christ stated: "Christ is the
only answer to an insane world, they need to understand that the trouble
with the Western Civilization is not economic but mere good and evil.
They are thinking they can make things work by politics, inventions, but
man will never live on this planet without God."
THE GOSPEL: THAT WILL
CORRECT EVERYTHING!
WILLIAM
GLADSTONE, Statesman, Prime Minister and unquestionably one of Great
Britain's most able, and greatest legal minds in the 1800s stated: “Talk
about the questions of the day! There is but one question and that is the
Gospel. That can and will correct everything.
“I
am glad to say that about
all the men at the top in Great Britain are Christians. I have been in
public positions fifty-eight years, all but eleven of them in the Cabinet
of the British Government, and during those forty-seven years have been
associated with sixty of the master minds of the century, and all but
five of the sixty were Christians.”
WOW
!!! What a statement coming from the Greatest British
Prime Minister who ever lived! It is little wonder then that Queen
Victoria stated: “I could wish that Jesus Christ
would return in my lifetime.” When she was asked,
“Why?” she answered: “I would so love to lay my crown at His feet.”
God
had to judge NEBUCHADNEZZAR the great king of Babylon, when PRIDE entered
his heart. For seven years he was out of his mind living like a wild
beast, until he acknowledged his sin and gave glory to God. Then his mind
returned to him and his kingdom was given back to him.
Belshazzar
knew what had happened to his grandfather and yet he blasphemed the God
of heaven. He magnified the gods of the pagan and showed utter contempt
for the vessels of Jehovah, therefore the Almighty God judged him. That
night King Belshazzar was slain!
At that drunken party in Babylon's Great Hall, a Divine hand
suddenly appeared writing on the wall, spelling out God's judgment
against King Belshazzar.
During
the royal orgy, he had reached the pinnacle of pride by drinking wine
from the Holy vessels which had been taken from the Temple in Jerusalem.
As he praised the pagan gods of Babylon, the 'hammer fell'! That
night, the Medes and Persians conquered the city and the king was slain!
The mighty kingdom of Babylon was finished! The writing was:
"MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN...God has numbered thy kingdom and
finished it. Thou art weighed in the balances,, and art found
wanting. Thy kingdom is divided..." (Daniel 5:24-30)
SODOM
& GOMORRAH: IS HISTORY REPEATING?
With
much sadness, I am compelled to say that if we continue on our present
course, Canada will also fall one day. The signs are present
everywhere, and "the handwriting is on the wall' for this nation.
The arrogance, disrespect for Jesus Christ, the Bible and moral values,
as shamelessly exhibited by un-elected judges and our Liberal government,
is exceeded only by their irrational decisions in cases of monumental
importance to our families, communities and our nation.
From
the beginning of the so-called 'Just Society' and the take-over of the
Liberal Party by socialist Pierre Elliott Trudeau until the present, we
have seen Canada plunge downward; morally, intellectually, domestically,
militarily and economically.
In
1967, Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau effectively rammed through
Parliament some of the most destructive laws ever enacted. They
were: Abolish capital punishment, broaden divorce laws, legalize
abortion and legalize homosexuality (sodomy) and bestiality (sex with
animals).
Prime
Minister Trudeau also wanted to legalize marijuana! Over years,
Cabinet Ministers from his government have allegedly spoken privately of
their regret in the passing of those laws.
IS
CANADA ON DANGEROUS GROUND?
Here
is the REAL SHOCKER. Our present Liberal government is planning
to scrap the time honored traditional, universal and legal definition of
marriage as a union between one man and one woman. They will go
down in history as the architects of a new HYBRID called "same-sex
marriage', legally uniting men with men and women with women, perverting
the biblical sacrament of Holy Matrimony!
MARRIAGE
it is NOT and never will be. The
rot of a decaying society is daily emanating from Ottawa! The
stench of immorality, political stupidity and creeping debilitation seeps
from our nation's capital. It filters down to us through the
airwaves, in our newspapers and on talk shows. The self-destructing
of the nation of Canada is already on the slippery slope, imitating the
rotting away of the Grecian and Roman Empires. Only God can help us
turn the tide of wickedness.
The
question is: "How long before the 'Hammer of God's Judgment"
falls upon Canada, a nation being led by 'vote hungry surrogates' whose
main objective is to please a host of 'off-beat clambering lobbyists'
willing to sacrifice everything that made Canada a great nation, in order
to get their own way?"
It
is as though a competing spirit has entered our judicial system and
government, seeing who will be the first to thumb their nose at Almighty
God and overturn as many moral, time honored laws, traditions and values
as possible.
And
in the process, they are making the nation of Canada an international
pariah in the eyes of intelligent, clear headed people who respect
decency, normalcy and common sense over the perverted, perilous and
unhealthy.
The
Bible says: "Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach
to any people." (Proverbs 14:34) "Blessed is the nation
whose God is the LORD." (Psalms 33:12) Righteousness is 'right
standing' before God and men. Righteousness speaks of honesty,
integrity, and obedience to God's laws. Right choices, pure motives
and charitable deeds are what build communities and nations.
Trusting
in the Lord and following His laws will build a nation. On the
other hand, sin is a reproach to any people. The meaning of the
word reproach is: disgrace, discredit, object of blame, censure!
In
my world travels, I have had occasion to speak with kings, presidents and
other heads of State. They have thanked me for my prayers and
stated their desire to receive God's blessing, with the hope that our
Mission in their country would turn people to God and righteousness.
IS CANADA BREAKING THE LAWS OF GOD?
How
thankful we should be, for the British Common Law which has its roots in
the Ten Commandments and is the basis for our laws in Canada, and
fore-runner of democracies everywhere. Why then, has our government over
the past many years sought to distance and alienate us from the Ten
Commandments and the British Common Law?
Why
would they deliberately seek to break the laws of God and insult the
intelligence of a myriad of scholars, legislators and builders of the
world's greatest societies for several thousand years? Are they so vain
and proud of their puny accomplishments, that they feel compelled to
distance themselves from God - given common sense, wisdom and historical
record of great leaders and democracies which upholds normalcy and
morality over the absurd, ridiculous and degenerate?
Has
Canada forgotten who we are? What has happened to the brains in Ottawa?
Is there a spirit of amnesia prevalent? Have we forgotten who we
really are? Did tens of thousands of young men die in two world
wars, so that a few Members of Parliament and their appointed judges
could change the law, effectively making us and our progenitors citizens
of a country akin to Sodom and Gomorrah.
How
could such foolishness enter the Liberal Cabinet? Is there a
premium on silliness, the ludicrous and the bizarre, on Parliament Hill?
Is there no voice of reason there? Is it not time to stand up and
be counted?
Recently,
Canadian TV News showed images of men kissing men. It was
abhorrent, disgusting and upsetting for many people. It was a
violation of our beliefs as well as our privacy, to be subjected to two
men 'gum-sucking' (old Scottish word for kissing) on the national news.
Think
of the shocking, psychological damage done to children, youth and older
folks who had not previously seen such a vulgar display! To say
nothing of the millions of Christians and those of other faiths, having
to explain this abnormal behavior to their children and to observe the
nauseating event repeatedly on cable, satellite and network TV. And
the very next day, splashed all over the front pages of Canadian
Newspapers.
Personally,
I felt like vomiting. Speaking in Norwegian, I used the U word.
I said "Ufta!" The eminent, late Dr. Robert Thompson,
former leader of the federal Social Credit Party and Medical Missionary,
described the word "ufta" this way: "A man working
in the barn loses his false teeth. They fall into a cow pie.
He picks them up and puts them back into his mouth. He then
exclaims, "Ufta"!
We
take off our hats to Conservative M.P. ELSIE WAYNE, who stated that
"Same Sex Marriage Debate is Pathetic'. "I have to say
that I never thought when I came to the Hill in 1993 that I would ever
have to get up in the House of Commons and debate the definition of
marriage', said a true representative of the majority of Canadians.
She
declared: "When it comes to people who want to live together,
whether they are women or men, why do (we) have to be out here in the
public debating that they want to call it marriage? Why are they in
parades? Why are they dressed up as women on floats? They do
not see us getting up on the floats, for heavens sake, to say we are
husband and wife."
The
Saint John M.P. said that if same-sex couples want to live together, they
can "go live together and shut up about it." After
another M.P. referred to the "honourable members" of the
Supreme Court, Wayne said: "I have to say that if they are going to
be honourable members, then I would say they had better define marriage
between men and women and then I will say they are honourable, but I will
not say they are honourable if they do not."
In
my opinion, Canadians will not put up with it! It will be the most
divisive law, pitting Canadians against Canadian from east to west and
north to south. Dividing Canada may be Jean Chretien's legacy if
the Supreme Court and the Canadian Parliament pass this bill into law.
What a sad ending for him, after having given our nation so many years of
service.
I
predict that if this same sex marriage bill becomes law, homosexuals and
lesbians will rue the day of its passing, because of the bitterness,
division and untold problems it will cause them and their adopted
children in the future.
HERE IS MY ADVICE TO ALL CHRISTIANS!
The
fallout from same sex marriages would create a community of dysfunctional
people with enormous emotional and psychological difficulties, requiring
our help for years to come. We must be prepared to love them
unconditionally and share with them the saving, healing and redeeming
grace of Jesus Christ our Lord.
God
cares for everyone! His love reaches out to us all: “The Lord is not
slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is
longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all
should come unto repentance!" (2 Peter 3:9) The Bible
declares: "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our
Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge
of the truth." (1 Timothy 2:3-4)
Whatever
happens, I am determined to preach the Gospel without fear or favour of
man or devil. The Holy Bible teaches us to obey God rather than man.
It is our duty to observe its teachings, follow our conscience and keep
our faith in Jesus Christ as Supreme and Sovereign Lord. (Acts 4:15-20;
Acts 5:27-32)

We must live with
ETERNITY IN MIND

unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given....of the increase of His
government and peace there shall be no end...with justice from henceforth
even for ever." (Isaiah 9:6)
What
does Eternal life mean?
In
Christianity, the
term eternal
life traditionally refers to continued life after death, as outlined
in Christian
eschatology.
WE
MUST LIVE WITH ETERNITY ON OUR MIND
Matthew
7:13
- (kjv) - Enter
ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way,
that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, that leadeth unto
life, and few there be that find it.
God
is eternal and infinite. He does not think with a finite mind as we
do! His thoughts and actions reflect His omnipotence, omniscience,
omnipresence and eternalness!
God's
plans and purposes for this universe and all of us, were formulated in
His mind before He created the foundations of the world.
Eternity in heaven or hell has already been determined.
God
cannot make a mistake, lie or be wrong in His intentions of deeds, for
God is totally righteous, all knowing and all wise.
EVERYTHING
GOD DOES IS FOR ETERNITY
God
knows the future and sees the pitfalls and snares that await our
stumbling feet. And God helps us, protects us from the devil,
protects us from the world and from ourselves.
WHY
ARE WE SO IMPORTANT TO GOD? Firstly,
we were made in God's image. Secondly, Jesus personally died for
our sins and finally, through the new birth, we are a part of Him - his
body.
What
does the word eternity mean? Eternity
means forever and ever, without end. The words, "there shall
be no end" and "forever", show the eternal purposes of God
in the birth of Christ. THE INCARNATION WAS SERIOUS STUFF. Eternity
is serious stuff.
The
moment, of God the Son - wrapping Himself in human flesh - coming down to
earth to save us. All this was deliberately and perfectly timed and
executed.
"But
when the fullness of time was come, God sent His Son, made of a woman,
made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might
receive the adoption of sons." (Galatians 4:4-5)
Jesus
coming to earth to die for our sins wasn't an after thought or a fill-in.
The decision to send King Messiah to this earth, was communicated to
Satan - the adversary - immediately after Adam and Eve's tragic fall.
"And
I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and
her seed; it shall bruise thy head and thou shall bruise His heel."
(Genesis 3:15)
Here,
God promises a "virgin born" savior (her seed), Who would
conquer Satan through His substitutionary death. In the process,
the Savior would suffer a minor wound (bruise His heel), and Satan would
be totally defeated (bruise his head).
JESUS
DIED ON THE CROSS - With Eternity in Mind
Although
Jesus suffered more than any man, was wounded and marred for our total
salvation, it was minor because He laid down His life of His own free
will. (John 10:15-18)
SATAN
HAD NO POWER OVER JESUS
Satan
could not take it from Him! And Jesus arose again on the third day,
destroying Satan and his power over us.
"Forasmuch
then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself
likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him
that had the power of death, that is, the devil;" (Hebrews 2:14)
FROM
THE INCARNATION TO THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST, AND THROUGHOUT THE
'GOSPEL AGE', GOD HAS CONTINUED THE EXECUTION OF HIS ETERNAL WILL,
THROUGH HIS CHURCH, THE CALLED-OUT-ONES)
This
is why it is so important that we live with "eternity in mind".
All our plans and goals should reflect this mind set, in our
relationships to God, the Church - His body - and the world! We
must think of the future, of eternity and prepare ourselves for eternity,
and eternal life with Jesus Christ.
Let
us study the Word of God, pray, witness and give joyfully, to help build
His eternal Kingdom.
Jesus
said, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." (John
3:3,7)
The
Bible makes it clear that, "He who hath the Son hath everlasting
life: and he who believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath
of God abideth on him." (John 3:36)
That
means that all those who do not personally know Jesus Christ, must
receive Him as Savior and Lord in order to be saved and to be in Heaven
with Christ for eternity.
THERE
IS A REAL HEAVEN & A REAL HELL
St.
John emphasized: "If we receive the witness of men, the
witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which He hath
testified of His Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the
witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar;
because he believeth not the record that God gave His Son.
And
this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life
is in His son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not
the Son of God, hath not life. These things have I written unto you
that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have
eternal life, and that ye may believe in the name of the Son of
God." (I John 5:9-13)
HERE
IS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH - All who reject Jesus Christ and refuse to
receive Him as Lord & Savior are calling Almighty God a LIAR,
"because he believeth not the record that God gave of His Son."
(verse 10)
Do
you think for one moment that anyone will escape the judgment of God when
they reject Jesus Christ - His gift to the world - and call Him a liar?
That's
serious stuff, since He is the judge of the entire world! How do
you think an earthly judge would react if someone in his courtroom called
him "a liar"? He would immediately be guilty of 'contempt
of court' of worse.
St.
Paul puts it all in perspective when he says, "For if the word
spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience
received a just recompense of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect
so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord,
and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him." (Hebrews 2:2-3)
ETERNITY
IS REAL - ETERNITY IS FOREVER
In
the Apocalypse, St. John warns: "And the DEVIL that deceived
them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the BEAST and
the FALSE PROPHET are, and SHALL BE TORMENTED DAY AND NIGHT FOR EVER AND
EVER. And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from
Whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no
place for them.
"And
I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were
opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the
dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books,
according to their works."
"And
the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered
up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according
to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.
This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in
the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Rev. 20:10-15)
HERE
IS THE GOOD NEWS!
Jesus invites, "Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest." (Matt. 11:28)
"For
God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting
life." (John 3:16)
MAY
THE GRACE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, THE LOVE OF GOD THE FATHER AND THE
FELLOWSHIP AND COMMUNION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BE WITH US ALL, BOTH NOW AND
FOREVERMORE.
