THE
PREVENIENT GRACE OF GOD:
We
Can Know For Sure!
by:
Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.
President
Harry Truman said: "Only two things are sure in life,
death and taxes." He certainly made a point,
but was only partly right. There are more things that are
sure, like Judgment Day, Heaven and Hell!
Expanding
this discussion, let me state unequivocally that nothing in life
is as sure as the GRACE of GOD. Nothing is as grand,
marvelous and unique as God's prevenient grace toward us!
WHAT
IS PREVENIENT GRACE?
Plainly
stated, prevenient grace is the awesome fact that God in His mercy
loved us and reached out to save us before we ever thought of Him
or considered serving Him! He loved us and chose us for
Himself before the foundations of the world!
St.
Paul states: "According as He
hath chosen us in Him before
the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and
without blame before Him in love." (Ephesians 1: 4; 2 Timothy
1:9). Seven hundred years before Jesus came to this earth, God spoke of
His grace toward the Gentiles: "I
was found of them that sought Me not; I was made manifest unto
them that asked not after Me." (Romans 10: 20)
The
Bible says: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3: 16).
God was reaching out to us, instead of us reaching out to Him!
PREVENIENT
GRACE OF GOD!
A
very beautiful song we sing is called: ""GRACE,
GRACE, GOD'S GRACE".
Here are the lyrics:
"Grace,
grace, God's grace, Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God's grace, Grace that is greater than all our
sin!"
"In
this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God
sent His only begotten Son into the world that we might live
through Him. Herein is love, not we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the
propitiation for our sins." (1 John 3:9, 10)
Propitiation,
which means 'mercy seat, expiation', denotes God's
satisfaction with the death of His incarnated Son (God in human
flesh) for the sins of the world, and His resurrection from the
dead for our justification! St. John stated: "We
love Him because He first loved us!" (1 John 10: 4, 19)
That
is the prevenient grace of God in
operation - the unmerited favour of God, working out our
salvation before we were born and while we were yet sinners and
enemies of His Kingdom!
The
Bible states: "For
when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the
ungodly. For scarcely for an unrighteous man will one die: yet
peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But
God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us."
(Romans
5: 6-8)
PAGAN
GODS ARE CRUEL & SEVERE!
Pagan
gods are products of the cruel minds of dictators and despots who
seek to control people for ulterior motives, such as ultimate
power, unlimited finances, huge perks and prestige!
In
my world travels, I have observed a plethora of gods, goddesses, images and heathen idols. They are
often grotesque, ugly and weird, representing pagan gods who
supposedly protect worshippers from even more sinister looking,
grotesque and ghastly devils!
Muslims
worship the god Allah, discovered by Muhammad in the 600s A.D. He
is severe and loves only those who love him!
Christians, however
worship the eternal God of the universe, Who has created us all
and cares for us. He loves us with a perfect love, which extends
even to those who hate and reject Him!
That
is the true Lord God Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
(Exodus 3: 6; Ephesians 1: 3)
All
so-called gods and goddesses are counterfeits and must be treated
as such! The Eternal states: "I
am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no god beside Me."
"I
girded thee (Jacob - Israel) though thou hast not known Me. That they (the heathen) may
know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is
none beside Me. I am
the Lord, and there is none else."
"Thus
saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker...I have
made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even My hands, have
stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I
commanded."
"Look
unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God
and there is none else." (Isaiah 45: 5, 6, 11, 12, 18,
22)
CAN
ANYONE DOUBT GOD'S LOVE?
How
could anyone doubt the unconditional love of God when you consider
Jesus' compassionate prayer to His Father, from the cross?
"Then said Jesus,
Father, forgive them: for they know not what they do."
(Luke 23:34).
He
is the God of Compassion and Love, Who forgives the sinner, heals
the sick, strengthens the weak and helps the poor! He brings peace
to troubled souls, removes the spirit of fear, lust and hate, and
pours in His mercy, grace and health!
Blessed be the all
powerful name of Jesus the Christ!
As
we humans seek to understand or describe God, we find ourselves
lacking proper words. We often get bogged down in the 'quagmire
of ignorance' in our feeble attempt to communicate
the attributes of the ONE Who
is the fount of all wisdom,
knowledge and understanding!
The
Bible states: "Have ye not known? Have ye not heard? Hath
it not been told you from the beginning? Have ye not understood
from the foundations of the earth? It is He that sitteth upon the CIRCLE of the earth, and the
inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the
heavens as a tent to dwell in: That bringeth the princes to
nothing; He maketh the judges of the earth as vanity."
(Isaiah 40: 21-23)
COLUMBUS
LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT!
2700
years ago, the prophet Isaiah declared - by divine revelation - that the earth is round! In 1492,
the scientific 'flat
earthers' were warning Christopher
Columbus that he must not sail too far west because he would
fall off the earth! Here is his response to the 'flat
earth scientists' and other elites of Queen
Isobel's Spain:
"In
this time I have seen and put in study to look into all the
Scriptures, cosmography, histories, chronologies, and philosophy
and other arts, which our Lord opened to my understanding (I could sense His hand upon me), so that it became clear to me that it was feasible to navigate from
here to the Indies; and He unlocked within me the determination to
execute the ideas...Who doubts that this illumination was from the
Holy Spirit? I attest that He (the Spirit), with
marvelous rays of light, consoled me to
proceed, and, continually, without ceasing for a moment, they
enflame me with a sense of great urgency."
- From
Christopher Columbus's 'Book
through
the holy and sacred Scriptures, a strong and clear
testimony...encouraging me of
Prophecies'
translated by Kay Brigham.
It
was God who led Columbus to the New World, so that the Gospel
could be dispensed here. His voyage began the greatest expansion
of the Gospel geographically, since the first century A.D.
Although he was a Genoese Jew living in Spain, Columbus felt that
his name 'Christopher'
which means 'the
one who carries Christ' (to others) was given to
him by the Lord!
The
Bible instructs: "Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard that the everlasting
God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not,
neither is weary? There is no searching of His
understanding." (Isaiah 40:28)
APODICTIC
is a little-used word that comes from
the Greek 'apodiktikos', meaning 'evident
without contradictions'.
In my opinion, this is the
nearest we can come to express what God is like! Everything about
God, the Supreme Being and Eternal Sovereign is "EVIDENT
BEYOND CONTRADICTIONS". You cannot contradict the fact that
He is LOVE:
eternal,
immutable, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, transcendent,
merciful, gracious and
compassionate!
Who
has the credentials to contradict His power, wisdom, omnipresence,
transcendence, total goodness, magnificent mercy, prevenient grace
and agape
love? The answer is 'NO
ONE'!
Certainly
not the liberal leftists who teach
atheism in our Universities, file
biased news reports in the Media, or pass
corrupt and immoral laws in our Parliaments and Congresses,
with which to further their godless agenda and usurp authority
over unsuspecting people in democratic nations!
WE
CAN KNOW FOR SURE THAT GOD LOVES US
We can know for sure that God Loves Us; That
We Belong To Him; That Our Sins are Forgiven; That the Guilt Is
Gone; That We Are Divinely Healed; That We Have A Home Reserved In
Heaven!
Calvary
proves the love of God and His gracious opinion of our great worth
to Him! Jesus' death on the cross was one-of-a-kind. It was
'Evident
beyond contradictions'!
The
Holy Record affirms: "Much
more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved
from wrath through Him. For if, when we were enemies, we were
reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being
reconciled, we shall
be saved by His life." (Romans 5: 9, 10).
"Jesus,
being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with
God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form
of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. And being found
in fashion as a man, He
humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of
the cross.
"Wherefore
God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name that is
above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven,
and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every
tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the
glory of God the Father." (Phil.2: 6-11).
In
this this treatise, I deal with the following truths:
We know God through
Christ! God knows us!
We know and identify
the true Christians! We know
what our future is! We know
what must be done to get others to believe!
1.
WE KNOW GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST
St.
Paul wrote: "That I may know Him, and
the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His
sufferings, being made conformable unto His death."
(Phil.3: 10).
"For
I
know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is
able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that
day." (2 Timothy 1: 12)
"That
which we have seen and heard, declare we unto you, that ye also
may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus
Christ. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we
have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ
His Son cleanseth us from all sin." (1 John 1: 3, 7)
Who
shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall
tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness,
or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than
conquerors through Him that loved us.
For I am PERSUADED,
that neither death, nor life, not angels, nor principalities, nor
powers, nor things to come.
"Nor
height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to
separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our
Lord." (Romans 8:35,37-39).
MARTIN
LUTHER
stated:
Once upon a time the devil came to me and said, "Martin, you are a great sinner, and you will be damned"!
"Stop!
Stop! said I, one thing at a time. I am a sinner, it is true,
though you have no right to tell me of it. I confess it. What
next? "Therefore
you will be damned."
"That
is not good reasoning. It is true that I am a great sinner, but it
is written, Christ
Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am
chief,
therefore I shall be
saved. Now go your way."
And
the lying Tempter left forthwith!
On
another occasion, Luther is said to have answered a knock on the door to find Satan
himself standing outside. "What do you want?" asked
the Reformer in a stern voice! "I'm
looking for Martin Luther"
answered 'old slewfoot'!
"He
doesn't live here anymore!"
replied
the 'Man of God'. "What do mean, are you not Martin Luther?"
asked the 'Old Serpent'!
Then
Luther quoted God's Word to the 'Accuser
of the Brethren': "I
am
crucified with
Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now
live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who
loved me, and gave Himself for me." (Galatians 2:20)
Being
confronted with the truth, the devil had to leave! He knows that
he has lost, because Jesus Christ's death and resurrection
stripped him of all his power over everyone who believes in
Christ's finished work on Calvary!
The
Bible declares: "Forasmuch then as the children are
partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part
of the same; that through death
He might destroy
him that had the power of death, that is the devil;
And deliver them who
through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to
bondage." (Hebrews 2:14-15)
"For if our
heart condemn us, God is greater than
our heart, and
knoweth all things. Beloved if our heart condemn us not, then have
we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of
Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that
are pleasing in His sight.
"And
this is His commandment, That we should believe on the name of His
Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment.
And He that keepeth
His commandments dwelleth in Him, and He in him. And hereby we
know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit which He hath given us."
(1 John 3:20-24)
"And
we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an
understanding, that we
may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in
His Son Jesus Christ. This is true God and eternal
life." (1 John 5:20)
2.
GOD KNOWS US PERSONALLY
Jesus
said: "I am the Good Shepherd and know
My sheep, and am known of Mine. As the Father knoweth Me, even
so I know the Father: and I lay down My life for My sheep."
(John 10:14)
"And
other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must
bring, and they shall hear My voice... My
sheep hear My voice." (John 10:14-16, 27)
The
Bible states: "Neverthless the foundation of God standeth
sure, having this seal, the Lord knoweth them that are His. And, let every one that nameth
the name of Christ depart from evil." (2 Timothy 2:19).
"Hereby
know ye the Spirit of God.
Ye
are of God little children, and have overcome them (evil spirits):
because greater is He
that is in you, than he that is in the world. We are of
God: He that knoweth God, heareth us; he that is
not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of
truth, and the spirit of error.
"Hereby
know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given
to us of His Spirit.
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God
dwelleth in Him, and he in God. And we have known and
believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God and God in him."
(1 John 4: 2, 4, 6, 10, 13, 15, 16)
3.
WE CAN KNOW GENUINE CHRISTIANS
How
can we identify 'genuine believers in Christ'? By the Word of God, the
'gift of discerning of spirits' and by the fruit of
the Spirit or lack thereof, we can very soon identify who is a
true Christian and who is not.
Jesus
Christ stated: "Wherefore, by their fruits ye shall know them."
(Matthew 7: 20)
The
Bible says: "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the
spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are
gone out into the world.
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: every
spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is
of God:
"And every
spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh
is not of God: and
this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it
should come; and even now already is it in the world." (1
John 4:1-3)
"THAT
THEY ALL MAY BE ONE: as
Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one
in us: that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me. I
in them, and Thou in Me, that they may be made perfect in one;
and that the world may know that Thou hast sent Me, and hast loved
them, as Thou hast loved Me." (John 18:21, 23)
"Beloved,
let us love one another: for love is of God; and
everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that
loveth not knoweth not God; for GOD IS LOVE.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God
sent His only begotten Son into the world,
that we might live through Him." (1 John 4: 7-9)
"He
that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself:
he that believeth not God hath made Him a liar, because he
believeth not the record that God gave of His Son.
"And
this is the record that God hath given to us eternal life, and
this life is in His Son. He
that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the
Son hath not life." (1 John 5: 10-13)
4.
WE KNOW WHAT OUR FUTURE IS
"And
we know that all things
work together for good to them that love God, to them that who are
the called according to His purpose. For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to
the image of His Son that He might be the firstborn (THE
FIRST IN RANK) among many brethren.
"Moreover
whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called,
them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also
glorified - What shall we then say to these things?
"If
God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not His own
Son, but delivered them up for us all, how shall He not with Him
also freely give us all things?"
"Who
shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or
distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or
sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors
through him that loved us.
"For I am
persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor
principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to
come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall
separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our
Lord."
(Romans 8:28-39)
"According
as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain
unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath
called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given to us exceeding
great and precious promises: that
by these ye might be partakers of the Divine Nature, having
escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."
(2 Peter 1:19)
"But
ye shall receive power (authority),
after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be
witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and in
Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (Acts
1:8)
"Beloved,
I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health,
even as thy soul doth prosper."
(3
John 2); "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then
face to face: now I know
in part; but then shall I
know as even I am known." (1 Cor.13:12)
"For
I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the
latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy
this body, yet in my flesh
shall I see God:
"Whom
I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not an
another; although my kidneys be consumed within me." (Job
19: 25-27)
5.
WE KNOW HOW TO WIN SOULS FOR CHRIST
"A
new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I
have loved you, that ye also love one another.
By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have
love one to another." (John 13: 34-35)
"That
they all may be one: as Thou Father, art in Me, and I in Thee,
that they also may be one is Us: that the world may
believe that Thou hast sent Me.
"And
the glory which Thou gavest Me I have given them; that they may be
one, even as We are one: I am in them, and Thou in Me, that they
may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that Thou
hast sent Me, and hast loved them, as Thou hast loved Me."
(John 17:21-23)
"And
Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me
in Heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of
the Holy Ghost." (Matthew 28:18, 19)
"And
He said unto them, go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel
unto every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall
be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."
"And
THESE SIGNS shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they
cast out devils (Christians have this power); they
shall speak with new tongues (Holy Spirit Baptism);
"They
shall take up serpents (Paul on Malta); and if they drink any
deadly thing (Pentecostal preachers in Soviet prisons), it shall
not hurt them; they shall lay their hands on the sick (believers
do this today) and they shall recover." (Mark 16:15-18)
HOW
CAN WE KNOW THAT WE ARE SAVED?
You
may ask: "How can we know that we are saved, born-again and
ready for Heaven? Here are some of the ways that we can know for
sure that we belong to Jesus Christ and are saved eternally:
1.
BY THE WITNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
"He
that believeth on the Son of God hath the witnesss in himself: he
that believeth not God hath made Him a liar; because he believeth
not the record that God gave of His Son." (1 John 5: 10)
"The
Spirit Himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the
children of God." (Romans
8:16); "Hereby know ye that we dwell in Him, and He is us,
because He hath given us of His Spirit," (1 John 4: 13)
2.
BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
"But
continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been
assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from
a child thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to
make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ
Jesus.
"All
Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness." (2 Timothy 3:14-16)
"That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation." (Romans 10: 9,10)
"Take
heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in
doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear
thee." (1 Timothy 4: 16)
3.
BY A CHANGED LIFE
"Therefore
if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2
Corinthians 5: 17)
Everything
becomes new when we put our trust in Jesus Christ as our personal
Lord and Saviour! We receive a new NATURE, new DESIRES, new GOALS
and a totally new LIFESTYLE!
The
Bible affirms this great truth: "According as His divine
power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and
godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to
glory and virtue:
"Whereby
are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by
these ye might be partakers of the DIVINE NATURE having escaped
the corruption that is in the world through lust." (2 Peter
1: 3, 4)
4.
BY A NEW LOVE FOR GOD, HIS WORD & HIS CHURCH
GOD
-
"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with
all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy
mind." (Matthew 22: 37); "We love Him, because He
first loved us." (1 John 4: 19)
HIS
WORD
- "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By
taking heed thereto according to Thy Word. With my whole heart
have I sought Thee: O let me not wander from Thy commandments. Thy
Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee.
O how I love Thy law! It is my meditation all the day." (Psalms
119: 9-11,97)
"Study
to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to
be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth." (2 Timothy
2: 15)
HIS
CHURCH
- "Not forsaking the
assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but
exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day
approaching." (Hebrews 10: 25)
5.
BY OUR LOVE FOR THE BRETHREN
"A
new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I
have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all
men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one
another." (John 13: 34-35)
"In
this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the
devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he
that loveth not his brother. For this is the message that ye have
heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
"Not
as Cain, who was of that Wicked One, and slew his brother. And
wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his
brother's righteous. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world
hate you.
"We know that
we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren.
He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Hereby perceive
we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: And we
ought to lay down our lives for the brethren." (1 John 3:
10-14, 16)
6.
BECAUSE HE HAS GIVEN US THE HOLY SPIRIT
"Hereby
know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because
He hath given us of His Spirit." (1 John 4: 13)
"If
ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your
children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy
Spirit to them that ask Him?" (Luke 11: 13)
"In
the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried,
saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink. He
that believeth on Me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly
shall flow rivers of living water. But this He spake of the
Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the
Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet
glorified." (John 7: 37-39)
"And
I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter,
that He may abide with you forever; Even
the Spirit of Truth: Whom the world cannot receive, because it
seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but
ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I
will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." (John
13: 16-18)
"But
the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send
in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to
your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." (John
14: 26)
"But
if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in
you, He that raised up Christ from the dead, shall also quicken
your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you. For as
many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
"For
ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear: but
ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba,
Father. The Spirit Himself beareth witness with our spirit, that
we are the children of God." (John 11:14-16)
7.
BY OUR CONFESSION OF CHRIST AS SAVIOUR
"Hereby
know ye the Spirit of God: Every
spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is
of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is
come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of
antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come: and even
now already is it in the world.
"That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation."
(Romans
10: 9,10)
"And
we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the
Saviour of the world." (1 John 4: 2, 3, 13); "And
they overcame him by the BLOOD of
the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony:
and they loved not their lives unto the death." (Revelation
12: 11); "And that no man can say that JESUS IS LORD, but
by the Holy Ghost." (1 Corinthians 12: 3)
8.
BY THE BURDEN FOR LOST SOULS
"For
what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole
world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange
for his soul?" (Mark 8: 36-37); "And He (Jesus) said
unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to
every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.
He that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16: 15-16)
"I
say the truth in Christ. I lie not, my conscience also bearing me
witness in the Holy Ghost, that I have great heaviness and
continual sorrow in my heart. For
I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren,
my kinsmen according to the flesh." (Romans 9:1, 2)
This is one of the
greatest truths in the entire Bible, proving God's love for
lost souls! The Blessed Holy Spirit so moved upon His servant
Paul, that he was willing - if it were possible - to go to
Hell and suffer the pangs of eternal damnation to save his people,
the Jews! Of course, it wasn't possible! God, however,
placed such a burden upon the great Apostle, that he was willing
to it! Only two men in recorded history were willing to go to Hell
for the Jews - Moses and Paul!
(Exodus
32: 32)
Only
Christ Jesus, the Messiah, was able to do that! He died that Jews
and Gentiles could be saved through His shed blood and glorious
resurrection.
"Brethren
my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that
they might be saved. For whosoever shall call upon the name of
the Lord shall be SAVED. How then shall they call on Him in Whom
they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of Whom
they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
"And
how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, how
beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace,
and bring glad tidings of good things!" (Romans 10:1,
13-15)
9.
BY THE CHASTISEMENT OF THE LORD!
"For
whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son who He
receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with
sons; for what son is he whom the Father chasteneth not? But if ye
be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye
bastards, and not sons." (Hebrews 12: 6-8)
10.
BY OUR HATRED OF SIN & EVIL
"Ye
that love the Lord, hate evil: He preserveth the souls of His
saints; He delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked."
(Psalms 97: 10);
"O
how I love Thy law! It is my meditation all the day. Thy Word is
true from the beginning: and every one of Thy righteous judgments
endureth for ever." (Psalms 119: 97, 160)
"Through
Thy precepts I get understanding: therefore
I hate every false way. I hate and abhor lying: but Thy law do I
love." (Psalms 119:104, 163)
"Love
not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any
man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
"For
all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of
the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of
the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof:
but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever." (1
John 2: 15-17)
"I
therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that
beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest by any means,
when I have preached to others, I myself should become a
castaway." (1 Corinthians 9: 26, 27)
11.
BY A LOVE OF THE TRUTH
"Jesus
said, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man cometh unto the
Father but by Me." (John 14: 6); "And hereby we
know that we are of the truth,
and shall assure our hearts before Him. For if our hearts condemn
us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things."
(1 John 3: 19, 20)
"But
speaking the TRUTH in love, may grow up into Him in all things,
which is the head, even Christ. Wherefore putting away lying,
speak every man TRUTH with his neighbour: for we are members one
of another." (Ephesians 4: 15,25)
"All
the paths of the Lord are mercy
and truth unto such as keep His covenant and His testimonies."
(Psalms 25: 10); "...His truth
shall be thy shield and buckler." (Psalms 91: 4); "Buy the truth
and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and
understanding." (Psalms 23: 23); "For
we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth." (2
Corinthians 13: 8);
"For
the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and
truth." (Ephesians 5: 9); "Wherefore take unto you
the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the
evil day, and having done all to stand. Stand
therefore having your loins girt about with TRUTH..."
(Ephesians 6: 13-14)
"Study
to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to
be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word
of Truth." (2 Timothy 2:15); "Having a form of
godliness, but denying the power thereof; from such turn away.
Ever learning, and never able to come unto the knowledge of the truth...so do these also resist the TRUTH, men of corrupt minds,
reprobate concerning the faith." (2 Timothy 5, 7, 8)
12.
BY OUT LONGING FOR CHRIST'S RETURN
"Set
your affection on on things above, not on things on the earth. For
ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When
Christ, Who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye appear with
Him in glory." (Colossians .3: 2-4)
"And
when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that
fadeth not away." (2 Peter 5: 4); "That the trial of
your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth ,
though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and
honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.
"Whom
having not seen, ye love; in Whom, though now ye see Him not, yet
believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of
glory." (1 Peter 1: 7,8); "So
Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many: and unto them
that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto
salvation." (Hebrews 9: 28)
"For
the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared unto all
men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we
should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present
world; Looking for that
BLESSED HOPE,
and the glorious appearing of the Great God and our Saviour Jesus
Christ:
Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all
iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of
good works." (Titus 2:11-14)
WE
ARE GRAFTED INTO CHRIST!
We
who have received Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour are born
again by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit! We were immediately
grafted into the Vine, became 'children of God' and 'heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ'! And
when we received the 'Baptism of the Holy Ghost', we
were sealed with that 'Holy
Spirit of Promise'! And for as long as we
remain faithful in believing that Jesus is the Christ the
Son of the living God, no-one can pluck us out of the
Father's hand.
Our
salvation is personally guaranteed
by our Lord Himself! The Bible states emphatically that the
Blessed Holy Spirit is the Guarantor of our salvation until He
returns for us in the rapture of the Church or the hour of our
death, into His eternal presence! Read these sacred promises and
rejoice.
"My sheep
hear hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: and I
give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither
shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father which gave them
Me, is GREATER
THAN ALL; and no man is able
to pluck them out of My Father's hand."
(John 10: 27-29)
"In
Whom also we have obtained an INHERITANCE, being predestinated
according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the
counsel of his Own will: that we should be to the praise of His
glory, who first trusted in Christ.
"In
Whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the Word of Truth, the
gospel of your salvation: in Whom also after that ye believed, ye
were SEALED
with that Holy Spirit of Promise, which is the EARNEST
(down payment) of our inheritance UNTIL
the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His
glory." (Ephesians 1: 11-14)
"And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye
are SEALED
unto the Day of Redemption." (Ephesians 4:30)
THREE
QUESTIONS ARISE!
Who
or what is the 'purchased possession' that is to be
redeemed? Believers in
Christ are His possession whom He has purchased with His precious
blood. We are the purchased
possession!
What
is the Day of redemption? The day of redemption, for us is the
moment we stand in His presence at death or the rapture of His
Church.
What
is our inheritance? Our
inheritance is ETERNAL LIFE with our Blessed Lord and all the
redeemed of all ages! Hallelujah!
"Take
heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the
which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the
church of God, which He hath purchased with His own BLOOD."
(Acts 20: 28)
"What?
Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which
is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For
ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body,
and in your spirit, which are God's." (1
Corinthians 6:19, 20)
"And
hereby we do KNOW
that we KNOW
Him, if we keep His commandments. He that saith, I know
Him, and keepeth not His commandments, is a LIAR,
and the trut is not in him.
"But
whoso keepeth His Word, in him verily is the love of God
perfected: hereby KNOW
we that we are in Him. He that saith he abideth in Him ought
himself also so to walk, even as He walked." (1 John 2:
3-6)
"For
ye are all the children of God by faith in Jesus Christ. For as
many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son
into your hearts, crying, Abba, father. Wherefore thou art no more
a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through
Christ." (Galatians
3: 26, 27; 4: 6,7)
"But
if the Spirit of Him (Holy
Spirit) that raised Christ from the dead dwell in you, He that
raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal
bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.
"For
as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but
ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba,
Father.
"The
Spirit Himself witnesses with our spirit that we are the children
of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs
with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may also be
glorified together.
"For
I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy
to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed is
us." (Romans 8:11, 14-18)
May God richly
bless you, my precious brother and sister in Christ! Amen.
WE
CAN KNOW FOR SURE
That
God Loves Us; That We Belong To Him;
That Our Sins are Forgiven; That the Guilt Is Gone;
That We Are Divinely Healed; That We
Have A Home Reserved In Heaven!
ARE
YOU CERTAIN OF YOUR ETERNAL DESTINY?
Will you spend eternity in
heaven or in hell?
You can know for sure by receiving Jesus
Christ
as your personal Lord and Saviour.
GOD'S
WARNING TO THE CHURCH:
Amend
your Ways!
by:
Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.
"Lord,
when we are wrong, make us willing to change. And when we
are right, make us easy to live with." - Peter
Marshall
EXTREME
GRACE DOCTRINE
This
message is a biblical response to the erroneous 'Extreme Grace
Doctrine'. It is a warning from Almighty God to the
lukewarm carnal church in this end-time hour! It is also the
solution - A return to God and a total commitment to the cause of
Christ!
"For
if ye thoroughly AMEND YOUR WAYS
and your doings; if ye thoroughly execute judgment... If ye
oppress not... Behold ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.
Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and
burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know
not; and come and stand before me in this house, which is called
by My name, and say, we are (saved)
delivered to do all these abominations?
"Stand
in the gate of the Lord's house, and proclaim there this word, and
say, Hear the word of the Lord, all ye...that enter in at these
gates to worship the Lord... AMEND YOUR WAYS and your doings, and
I will cause you to dwell in this place. Trust ye not in lying
words, saying, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the
temples of the Lord are these.
"Is
this house, which is called by My name, become a den of robbers in
your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the Lord... Obey my
voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk
ye in all the ways that I have commanded you that it may be well
unto you." (Jeremiah
7:2-11, 23)
What
a powerful message from Almighty God to His people Israel in the
time of Jeremiah the prophet. Since His message is ageless and His
Word always the same and because SIN is universal and as old as
the Devil himself (since he fell from Heaven as the archangel
Lucifer), it is a Message for the Church today, as well!
WE
HAVE THE VICTORY IN JESUS’ NAME!
The
temptations, pitfalls and snares of Satan are still the same, as
is the weakness of the flesh! Nothing has changed, except that
Satan is trying harder and more diligently than ever - to trap,
ensnare and captivate God's people, in this end-time!
WHY?
Because for him and all of us - time is running out!
(John 4:35-36; Revelation 10:6, 12:12). Not only is Satan in a
hurry to destroy, defeat and torpedo God's plans, purposes and
Kingdom, but we are also in a hurry to stand up and be counted for
Jesus.
We
are in a hurry to destroy his efforts in order to plant the flag
of Jesus in every area of the globe and drag down Satan's evil
kingdom, by preaching Christ's glorious gospel with signs
following! (Mark
9:15-18)
The
Christian community is equipped to do the job in Jesus' dear Name,
upon the authority of God's Word, by the blood of the
everlasting covenant and by the power of the Blessed Holy
Spirit! Even though we are saved by trusting in the precious blood
of Jesus Christ and His atoning work on Calvary's cross for us,
many in the Christian Church walk in defeat, confusion and the
weakness of the flesh! Some born again, Spirit-filled Christians
cannot overcome the evil habits of lust, pride, envy, hatred,
loose tongues and covetousness!
There
are those among us who still hold grudges, are unwilling to
forgive, smoke, get drunk occasionally and commit fornication and
adultery. Many Christians talk too much, carry gossip, are
negative, critical and bitter! And some are gluttonous and serve
the belly more than God.
WHY
SHOULD THESE THINGS BE?
Recently,
I agonized before God for an answer to these seemingly never
ending problems. Like St. Paul, I too cried out, "O
wretched people that we are, who shall deliver Believers from
slothfulness,
mediocre Christian commitment, lukewarm response to missionary endeavor
and a weakness to honour the appetites of the flesh instead of the
bugle call of the Spirit"?
It
was the great Apostle to the Gentiles, the man who wrote more than
one-half of the New Testament who confessed, "For we
know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
For that I do I allow not; for what I would that I do not; but
what I hate, that I do...For the good that I would I do not: but
the evil which I would not, that I do". (Romans 7:14,
15, 19)
He
pin-points the works of the flesh, the conscience, and the Holy
Spirit of God in our lives.
Three
laws are at work in our members:
1.
The Law of God in our inner man.
The Word of God in our inner man is ‘our conscience’.
2.
The law of sin and death in our members.
That is the natural, carnal nature we are born with.
3.
The law of the Spirit
of life in Christ Jesus. He liberates us from "the
law of sin and death".
God
has given us all a conscience which is "The Word of God in
our Members" to convict us and show us our wayward ways.
"The Law of Sin and Death" is inherited from Adam
and Eve.
"For
if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they which
receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall
reign in life by One, Jesus Christ. Therefore as by the offense of
one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the
righteousness of One the free gift came upon all men unto
justification of life.
"For
as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the
obedience of One shall many be made righteous."
(Rom. 5:17-19)
Only
the miracle of the New Birth - repenting of sin and embracing the
gospel - makes us free from the dreadful power of sin and death.
And St. John emphasizes, "If we walk in the light as He
is in the light, we have fellowship one with the other and the
blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanseth us from all sins".
(1 John 1:7)
St.
Paul writes, "But thanks be unto God, which giveth us the
victory through our Lord Jesus Christ". (1 Corinthians 15:57)
RECIPE
FOR SANCTIFICATION!
God
said: "Be ye holy for I am holy, saith the Lord".
(Leviticus 11:45). Is it possible to become holy as God
demands? Can human beings rise to the place of total
separation from sin - in thought, word and deed - and be renewed
in our minds to such a degree, that we are sanctified wholly?
Let's
see what the Bible says on the subject! And remember that God
would not ask us to do that which we were unable to do, for He is
not unreasonable or unjust. However, it is only by the Holy
Spirit's enabling power through the Blood of Christ that we are
able to qualify!
Here
is what St. Peter says on the subject:
"Seeing
then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of
persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and
godliness," (1
Peter 3:11)
St.
Paul admonishes us: "Wherefore come out from among
them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the
unclean thing; and I will receive you". (2
Corinthians 6: 17)
It
is evident that God wants us to be a separate people, but how does
this process of sanctification work? What agencies are employed in
the cleansing, separating and keeping aspects of ‘holy
character building’?
1)
The WORD OF GOD:
"Thy
Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against
Thee." (Psalm 119:11); "For the Word of God is quick and
powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to
the dividing of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and
is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
(Hebrews 4:12)
"Wherefore
lay apart the all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and
receive with meekness the engrafted Word which is able to save
your souls." (James 1:21)
"Study
to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to
be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth." (2 Timothy
2: 17); "And that from a child thou hast known the Holy
Scriptures, which are able to make wise unto salvation through
faith which is in Christ Jesus.
"All
Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness. That the man of God may be perfect (mature),
thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (2 Timothy
3:15-17)
2)
The BLOOD OF JESUS
"But
if we walk in the Light, as He is in the Light, we have fellowship
one with another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from
all sin." (1 John 1:7); "If we say that we have no sin,
we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess
our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1: 8, 9)
"Forasmuch
then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also
Himself took part of the same; that through Death,
He might Destroy him who had the power of death,
that is the Devil. And Deliver them
who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to
bondage." (Hebrews 2: 14, 15)
"According
as He hath CHOSEN us in Him before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus
Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.
"To
the praise of the glory of His GRACE, wherein He hath made us
accepted in the Beloved. In Whom we have redemption through His
BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His
grace." (Ephesians 1: 4-7)
3)
The HOLY SPIRIT:
"There
is therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,
who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of
the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law
of sin and death.
"And
if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the
Spirit is life, because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him
that raised Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up
Christ from the dead shall also quicken (make life) your
mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you."
"For
as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of Go.
For ye have not received the Spirit of bondage again to fear; but
ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry Abba,
Father. The Spirit Himself beareth witness with our spirit, that
we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of
God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with
Him, that we may be also glorified together." (Romans
8:1,2,10,11, 14-17)
4)
The NAME OF JESUS:
"And
these SIGNS shall follow them that believe; In My name (JESUS)
shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
they shall take up serpents (St. Paul in Malta); and if
they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them (Pentecostal
preachers in some Soviet Prisons); they shall lay their hands
on the sick, and they shall recover." (Mark 16: 17-18)
"And
whatsoever ye shall ask in My (Jesus) Name, that
will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye
shall ask anything in My (Jesus) Name, I will do
it." (John 14: 13, 14); "If ye abide in Me (Jesus),
and My Words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall
be done unto you." (John 15: 7)
"Ye
have not chosen Me, but I have CHOSEN you, and ordained you, that
ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should
remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My (Jesus)
Name, He may give it you." (John 15: 16)
"And
in that day (after Christ’s ascension) ye shall ask Me
nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask
the Father in My (Jesus) Name, He will give it
you." (John 16: 23)
Hitherto
ye have asked nothing in My (Jesus) Name; ask and ye
shall receive, that your joy may be full.
"At
that day ye shall ask in My (Jesus) Name; and I say
not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: for that Father
Himself loveth you, because you have loved Me, and have believed
that I came out from God. I came forth from the Father, and am
come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the
Father." (John 16: 24, 26, 27)
4)
Our OWN WILL:
Refrain
tonight, and that shall lend a hand of easiness to the next
abstinence; the next more easy; for use can almost change the
stamp of nature, and either curb the devil, or throw him out with
wondrous potency." -
Shakespeare
"Jesus
answered them and said, My doctrine is not Mine, but His that sent
Me. If any man Will do His will, he shall know the doctrine,
whether it be of God, or whether I speak of Myself." (John 7:
16, 17)
"And
when He had called the people unto Him with His disciples also, He
said unto them, Whosoever will come after Me, let him deny himself
and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whosoever will save his
life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for My sake
and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.
"For
what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and
lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his
soul? Whosoever, therefore, shall be ashamed of Me and of My words
in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him also shall the
Son of Man be ashamed when He cometh in the glory of His Father
with the holy angels." (Mark 8: 34-38)
THE
KEY: THE LIFE OF JESUS!
The
Bible says: "Always bearing about in the body the dying of
the Lord Jesus, that the LIFE also of Jesus might be manifest in
our body. For we which live are always delivered unto death for
Jesus’ sake that the LIFE also of Jesus might be made MANIFEST
in our Mortal Flesh." (2 Corinthians 4: 10,11)
So
important is this great truth that St. Paul repeated it. If we
are serving Jesus Christ in sincerity and truth, His LIFE will be
in us and will manifest itself in our spirit, soul and body!
People will recognize His life in our entire being, including
healing and health in our mortal flesh!
Here
is another great Scripture text that brings out that truth: "And
the very God of Peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your WHOLE
spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless unto the
Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Thessalonians 5:
23)|
What
does that mean? St. Paul is praying that our Living Saviour Who
dwells within us will preserve our WHOLE person, namely, spirit,
soul and body perfect without sin, fear, sickness or demon
influence until we see Jesus face to face! He desires us to be
spiritually, mentally and physically sound, healthy and well as we
wait for the Coming of Jesus. He states further: "Faithful
is He that calleth you, Who also will do it." (1 Thessalonians
5:24)
The
Bible says: "Ye are of God, little children, and have
overcome them (evil spirits): because GREATER is He that is within
you, than he (Satan) that is in the world." (1 John 4:4);
"For in Him we live, and move, and have our being…"
(Acts 17: 28)
"Whosoever
shall confess that JESUS is the Son of God, God dwelleth in Him,
and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God
hath to us. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in
God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may
have boldness in the Day of Judgment: because as He is, so are we
in this world." (1 John 15-17)
"For
all the promises of God in Him are Yea, and in Him Amen, unto the
glory of God by us. Now He which establishes us with you in
Christ, and hath anointed us, is God, Who hath also SEALED us and
given the EARNEST of the Spirit in our hearts." (2
Corinthians 1:20-22)
"Now
thanks be unto God which always causes us to TRIUMPH in
Christ…" (2 Corinthians 2:14); "I can do all things
through Christ which strengthens me." (Philippians 4: 13)
"Nay,
in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that
loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor
angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor
things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in
Christ Jesus our Lord."
(Romans 8:37-39). Amen.

you can believe, all things are possible to him who
believes." (Mark 9:23) - JESUS CHRIST
The
ancient prophet Isaiah set forth a graphic picture of the coming
Jewish Messiah in the 53rd chapter of the book we call "The
Gospel of the Old Testament."
We
can receive total healing through the wounds of Jesus Christ -
According to the prophets, the Messiah would suffer, bleed and die
for His people. He would be cut off in death, but rise again in
power. He would be wounded, bruised, chastised and striped
in order to purchase our salvation and bring deliverance from sin,
sickness and eternal death.
And
St. Peter records the glorious results of Christ's terrible
sufferings as our substitute. "Who His own self bare our
sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins,
should live unto righteousness: by Whose stripes ye were
healed." (1 Peter 2:24)
THE
SEVEN WOUNDS OF JESUS SPELL COMPLETE REDEMPTION
Jesus
Christ received seven specific wounds in His body during His week
of suffering and death. The number seven in biblical terms speaks
of perfection and completeness.
Wounds
according to the dictionary are divisions of the soft part of the
body by a mechanical force applied externally. They are classified
as: contused, lacerated, penetrating, perforating and incised!
Jesus Christ received each of these plus an additional two, by
mutilation and falling.
1)
THE CONTUSED WOUND
- produced by a sharp instrument.
"They
shall smite the Judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek."
(Micah 5:1)
St.
Matthew wrote, "They smote Him with rods." (Matthew
26:67; John 18:22) (Newberry & Revised) "Then they did
spit in His face and buffeted Him, and others smote Him with the
palms of their hands." (Matthew 26:67)
Very
definitely, Jesus suffered pain and humiliation as Roman soldiers
beat Him about the face with their rods!
Others,
including the servants smote Him with their hands. The rod would
cut into the flesh, leaving a contused wound.
2)
THE LACERATED WOUND
- produced by a tearing instrument.
The
Romans used the cruel cat-of-nine tails to scourge criminals. On
the end of the whip were nine pieces of leather to which were
attached sharp ivory or metal balls with protruding nails. As the
whip was cracked, it would tear out pieces of the flesh.
Jewish
law demanded that not more than 40 lashes be administered, since
often the victim would faint or even die during the scourging.
The
Romans did not need to adhere to Jewish law. As a matter of fact,
crucifixion was a Roman mode of execution! The Romans always
scourged a condemned man before crucifying him.
Some
historians and Church Fathers believe that Jesus Christ may have
received many more than 30 stripes. The more punishment a
prisoner took on the whipping pole, the shorter was the guard duty
for the Roman Soldiers at the scene of execution.
Since
the Jewish leadership had accused Him of perverting the people,
the Romans certainly had no reason to "go easy"
on Him! And no doubt the tough Roman soldiers would have been
happy to see Jesus squirm and cry out - especially since he had
refused to talk to the Governor!
We
do know that St. Paul was whipped by the Jews on five separate
occasions: "Of the Jews five times received I forty
stripes save one." (2 Corinthians 13:24) Paul was
not a candidate for crucifixion, by the Romans. He was prosecuted
under the jurisdiction of the Jewish hierarchy.
If
Jesus received 39 stripes in Pilate's Judgment Hall, that would
have inflicted a total of 351 gashes on His lacerated back. If He
received more than 39 stripes, the gashes would have been more
numerous.
EACH
WOUND HELPED TO PURCHASE OUR HEALING: SPIRITUAL, MENTAL AND
PHYSICAL
The
Old Testament prophet declared, "The ploughers ploughed
upon My back. They made long furrows." (Psalms 129:3)
Seven hundred and fifty years earlier, Isaiah had prophesied
concerning the Messiah, "I gave My back to the smiters"
(Isaiah 50:6)
"But
He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with
His stripes we are healed."
(Isaiah 53:5)
St.
Matthew records, "Then Pilate therefore took Jesus and
scourged Him." (Matthew 27:20; John 19:1)
Prisoners
who were scourged usually lost a lot of blood and sometimes
fainted. Jesus suffered the agonizing and brutal scourging for us!
3)
THE PENETRATING WOUND: a deep
wound caused by a sharp, pointed instrument.
The
crown of thorns that was pressed upon the head of Jesus caused
such wounds. The Jerusalem thorn, known as the Arabian Nebulae,
was 4 inches long and as sharp as a needle. The cruel diadem
containing over 100 spiculets, was driven into His head with blows
from the rod.
The
Bible scriptures record, "And when they had platted a
crown of thorns, they put it upon His head, and a reed in His
right hand: and they bowed the knee before Him, and mocked Him,
saying, Hail, King of the Jews." (Matthew 27:29)
"Then
came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple
robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!" (John
19:5)
It
was the Governor's intention to scourge Jesus and then release
him. He had hoped the pitiful sight of a weary, weak and
bloodies man would satisfy their blood lust and evoke sympathy for
the prisoner.
Instead
of being satisfied, they craved more blood, crying out "Away
with Him, crucify Him, crucify Him!" (Matthew 27:22-23)
THORNS
SPEAK OF THE ORIGINAL CURSE
Thorns
speak of the original curse, "Cursed is the ground for thy
sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy
life;" "Thorns
also and thistles shall it bring forth unto thee..." (Geneses
3:17-18)
JESUS
TOOK THE CURSE FOR US
Jesus
Christ bore the penalty for our sins, transgressions,
sicknesses, diseases and pains!
St.
Paul writes, "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of
the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is
every one that hangeth on a tree."
"That
the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus
Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through
faith." (Galatians 3:13-14)
In
the book of Deuteronomy, Chapter 28, Moses enumerates the
blessings of keeping covenant with God. He also lists the curses!
The curses include sickness, disease, insanity, torments,
plagues, pestilence, famine and war. The Apostle to the
Gentiles states unequivocally that, "Christ hath redeemed
us from the curse of the law." So we are free!
The
Roman soldiers tried to drive Jesus insane by beating that crown
of sharp Arabian Nebulae into His head. But He didn't lose His
sanity but rather through this horrible experience purchased our
peace and tranquility.
And
having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to
reconcile all things unto Himself."
(Colossians 1:20)
Because
of the penetrating wounds He bore for us, WE HAVE PEACE!
4)
THE PERFORATING WOUND:
From
the Latin word; "to pierce through"
A
Messianic psalm stated, "They pierced My hands and My
feet" (Psalms 22:16) At the time of David's
prophecy, he knew nothing of crucifixion, for the Hebrew method of
capitol punishment was stoning!
The
prophet Zechariah also foretold of the Messiah's death by
crucifixion. "And one shall say unto Him, What are these
wounds in Thine hands? Then shall He answer, Those with which I
was wounded in the house of My friends." (Zechariah 13:6)
By
the time Jesus was born, the Romans had conquered Palestine and
crucifixion had become the mode of execution. The New Testament
records: "And when they were come... to Calvary, there
they crucified Jesus." (Luke 23:33; John 19:16-18)
The
Bible says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not
perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
Jesus
Christ suffered the torments, agony, pain and death of the most
horrible of all deaths - The Death of Crucifixion! He suffered for
us. He bled for us. He died for us! And He arose again from the
dead, for us!
5)
THE INCISED WOUND: a
cut produced by a sharp edged instrument:
"But
one of the soldiers with a spear pierced His side, and forthwith
came there out blood and water." (John 19:34)
As
the Sabbath was approaching the soldiers helped speed up the
expiration of the victims by smashing their thigh bones, thus
allowing asphyxiation. When the Roman soldier came to Jesus, he
noticed that He was already dead. The soldier then went on to the
thief on Jesus' other side and with his large axe, smashed the
femur bone (thigh bone) causing a quicker death.
In
order to verify Jesus' death, the soldier then plunged his spear
into the left side of Jesus!
This
fulfilled the scripture, "They shall look upon Him Whom
they have pierced." (Zechariah 12:10) So large was
the wound that after the resurrection, Thomas "the
doubter" was invited to thrust his hand into that wound.
"Then
saith He to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold My hands;
and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into My side: and be not
faithless, but believing."
(John 20:27)
St.
John was standing near the cross and noticed blood and water
coming out of His side. The pericardium is a closed sac
encasing the heart, lubricated by a small amount of fluid to
facilitate the motion of the heart.
Mallory
& Wright's pathological technique answers the question,
"How could John have seen such a small amount of water flow
out of the wound? The normal amount (of pericardial fluid) is
about a teaspoon, but it may be increased to 100 c.c. (24
teaspoonfuls) where death agony is prolonged."
Another
miracle was that contrary to nature, blood flowed from a dead man,
proving that the blood of Jesus did not die but is efficacious
even today !
There
is a fountain filled with blood, Drawn from Emmanuel's veins,
And sinners plunge beneath the flood, Lose all their guilty
stains."
The
blood and water which St. John saw coming out of the side of
Christ may also have been the physiological aspect of death.
Medical
science teaches that, "Blood in a cadaver readily separates
into clear serum and red blood cells, thus certifying that the
person is clinically dead." It could be that both of these
things were happening at once. Either way, it proves that the
death of Jesus was a reality and that there is life through His
precious blood!
The
Bible says, "Without the shedding of blood there is no
remission of sins." (Leviticus 17:11,14)
"It
is the blood that maketh atonement for the soul." (Hebrews
9:22) "And the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanseth
us from all sins." (1 John 1:7)
The
blood of Jesus Christ, shed for us all on Golgotha, has purchased
our salvation
I)
WE RECEIVE FORGIVENESS OF OUR SINS THROUGH HIS BLOOD
In
Whom we have redemption through His blood, even THE FORGIVENESS OF
SINS, according to the riches of His grace." (Ephesians
1:7)
(II)
WE RECEIVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD
"Forasmuch
as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as
silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition
from your fathers;"
But
with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish
and without spot:"
(1 Peter 1:18-19)
"Take
heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the
which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church
of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood."
(Acts 20:28)
(III)
WE RECEIVE CLEANSING FROM SIN THROUGH HIS BLOOD
"But
if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship
one with another, And the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth
us from all sins."
(1 John 1:7)
(IV)
WE ARE LOOSED FROM OUR SINS BY HIS BLOOD
"And
from Jesus Christ, Who is the faithful witness, and the first
begotten of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth.
Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own
blood."
(Revelation 1:5)
(V)
WE ARE JUSTIFIED THROUGH HIS BLOOD
"Much
more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved
from wrath through Him."
(Romans 5:9)
"Being
justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in
Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through
faith in His blood, to declare the righteousness for the remission
of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;"
(Romans 3:24-25)
(VI)
WE RECEIVE PEACE THROUGH HIS BLOOD
"And
having made peace through the death of His cross, by Him to
receive all things unto himself;"
(Colossians 1:20)
(VII)
WE RECEIVE ACCESS TO THE FATHER THROUGH HIS BLOOD
"Having
therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the
blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which He hath consecrated
for us through the veil, that is to say, His flesh;"
(Hebrews 10:19-20)
(VIII)
WE RECEIVE DIVINE HEALING THROUGH HIS BLOOD
"But
He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with
His stripes we are healed."
(Isaiah 53:5)
Who
His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we,
being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by Whose
stripes ye were healed."
(1 Peter 2:24)
(IX)
WE RECEIVE VICTORY OVER THE DEVIL THROUGH HIS BLOOD
"And
they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word
of their testimony."
(Revelation 12:11)
(X)
WE ARE SANCTIFIED THROUGH HIS BLOOD
"Wherefore
Jesus also, that He might sanctify His people with His own blood,
suffered without the gate." (Hebrews
13:12)
(XI)
WE RECEIVE A CLEAR (PURGED) CONSCIENCE THROUGH HIS BLOOD
"How
much more shall the blood of Christ, Who through the Eternal
Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience
(mind) from dead works, to serve the Living God?" (Hebrews
9:14)
(XII)
WE RECEIVE ETERNAL GLORY THROUGH HIS BLOOD
"These
are they which come out of great tribulation, and have washed
their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve Him day and
night in His temple: and He that sitteth on the throne shall dwell
among them..."
"For
the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and
shall lead them unto living fountains of water: and God shall wipe
away all tears from their eyes."
(Revelation 7:14-17)
6)
WOUNDS BY MUTILATION
- the plucking out of His beard.
"I
gave My cheeks to them that plucked out the hair." (Isaiah
50:6)
Not
only did they slap and spit upon His face but they yanked out His
beard causing the wounds of mutilation. Can you imagine the awful
pain, as cruel Roman soldiers pulled out His beard! The blood
flowed down upon Christ's chest as cruel tormentors mutilated His
face by tearing out handfuls of His beard.
He
did it for us, because by "His Sore" (original
Hebrew) we are healed! He was "one sore" from
head to toe, by the time He had undergone the full mistreatment
which the Roman soldiers heaped upon Him! He suffered more than
any man and He did it all for us - to purchase our salvation.
7)
WOUNDS BY FALLING:
They
laid the rugged cross upon His lacerated, bleeding back and forced
Jesus to carry His own cross, as was the custom for condemned
criminals. Due to loss of blood because of the scourging, He was
unable to do so.
As
He stumbled and fell, His body received more bruises and sores,
and He suffered more pain, for us.
Historians
claim, that after His striping in Pilate's Judgment Hall, Jesus
was subjected to a heavy wooden cross laid upon His raw, bleeding
back.
Apparently,
the cross bar was tied to His wrists and the stock to His left
ankle. When He stumbled and fell, He had no way to protect
Himself, so His body was further bruised and battered! And Roman
soldiers then forced a stranger, Simon of Cyrene to bear His cross
up Calvary's hill.
"And
He bearing His cross went forth to the place of a skull..." (John
19:17) "And as they led Him away they laid hold upon one
Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid
the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus." (Luke
23:26) (Mark 15:21)
Apparently
that event caused such an impact upon the Cyrenian that he became
a convert to Christ. And it appears that his two sons also entered
the Ministry and preached the gospel of Christ after His
resurrection.
CHRIST
WAS WOUNDED FROM HEAD TO FOOT WITH SEVEN WOUNDS IN ORDER TO BRING
US HEALING
And
St. Matthew stated, "When the even was come, they brought
unto Him many that were possessed with devils: and He cast out the
spirits with His word, and healed all that were sick:"
"That
it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Easias the prophet,
saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our
sicknesses."
(Matthew 8:16-17)
"It
is no wonder, St. Thomas, upon his encounter with the risen Christ
declared, "My Lord and my God." (Jn.20:28)
MAY
THE RISEN CHRIST BLESS AND HEAL YOU AS YOU APPROPRIATE HIS
PROMISES FOR YOURSELF.
I
pray you will receive total healing through the wounds and blood
that Jesus Christ shed for you.
HEALING
FOR THE SICK
Through
Faith In Jesus Christ
"...man
is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward." (Job 5:7)
"Many
are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivereth him
out of them all." (Psalms. 34:19)
"Is
any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the Church; and
let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the
Lord; "And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the
Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall
be forgiven him." (James 5:14-15)
"Ask,
and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it
shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and
he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be
opened." (Matthew 7:7-8)
THERE
IS HOPE FOR YOU - THERE IS HEALING FOR YOU -
GOD WILL ANSWER YOUR PRAYERS
Multitudes
today are suffering from a disease or infirmity with no relief in
sight. They have frequented doctors, clinics and hospitals with
little or no help - and are discouraged, angry and bitter!
Some
have prayed earnestly regarding their healing, had special prayer
in their church by the pastor and elders or by an evangelist whom
God uses to bring healing to the sick through faith in Jesus
Christ - and still are not healed! Many become
discouraged thinking that God is not listening to their prayers or
that they are not important enough for him to give them answers to
their prayers.
Possibly
someone reading this booklet fits one of these categories. After
your hospital visit or prayer service, you are 'not better'. You
may even be getting worse! Your faith is at a low ebb and you're
tired of being tired, sick and defeated. You are tired of hoping
and believing without any answers to your prayers.
You
feel like throwing up your hands in despair since nothing helps,
and accept weakness, pain, sickness and distress as your lot in
life!
MY
DEAR FRIEND, THERE IS STILL HOPE FOR YOU. It is not too
late. It may seem hopeless, but it is not. It may seem useless
to think of deliverance, but it is not. So long as you are alive
and there is a God in Heaven, there is hope!
The
Bible says, "With men this is impossible, but not with God,
for with God all things are possible". (Mark 10:27) It may
seem impossible to you but with God NOTHING is impossible.
Man's
extremity becomes God's opportunity. And when man fails, that's
when God can take over, for He never fails. When man 'gives up on
you', God is ready, willing and able to step in and bring to pass
a miracle in your life, because nothing is impossible with Him!
GOD
CAN & WILL ANSWER YOUR PRAYER! When God could bring
the world into being by His spoken Word, hang the universe on
nothing, fling the sun, moon and stars into the far most corner of
the night to rotate in perfect harmony, HE CAN ANSWER YOUR PRAYER.
You must be patient and continue to pray and seek God, as he will
answer your prayers when he feels the time is right.
"By
the Word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of
them by the breath of His mouth." (Psalm 33:6). Since
He has the ability to create millions of moons, galaxies of stars
and heavenly bodies by a few words from Hs lips, most assuredly He
is able to destroy the cancer, heart disease, diabetes or
arthritis which is stealing your health.
WHEN
AT THE TOUCH OF HIS HAND, GOD CREATED A PERFECT HUMAN BEING IN HIS
OWN IMAGE AND BREATHED INTO MAN'S NOSTRILS THE BREATH OF LIFE
MAKING HIM A LIVING SOUL, SURELY HE CAN HEAL YOUR SICK SPIRIT,
SOUL (MIND) AND BODY. HE HAS PROMISED HEALING, GOD HAS
PROMISED ANSWERS TO YOUR PRAYERS.
The
Great God Who brought back to life the Lord Jesus Christ, can
certainly quicken your mortal body. When you think of how great
and mighty our God is, certainly nothing could be impossible to
Him!
St.
Paul declares: "But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus
from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead
shall also quicken - make life in - your mortal (temporal, dying)
bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you". (Romans
8:11)
Is
God able to heal our weak, aging, temporal bodies? Yes, He is able
to and He does! Is God able to answer your prayers.
Yes - He is willing to answer your prayers. The Bible says,
"All things are possible to him that believeth". (Mark
9:23) Since He (the Holy Spirit) brought Jesus Christ back
from the dead, He can most certainly heal our diseased and dying
bodies, says St. Paul.
In
verse 26, the great apostle continues, "Likewise the Spirit
also helpeth our infirmities (lit. greek - takes a hold of against
our sicknesses): for we know not what we should pray for as we
ought: but the Spirit itself (Himself) maketh intercession for us
(lit. greek - and together with us) with groanings (Holy Spirit
prayer - praying in tongues) which cannot be uttered."
The
same Blessed Holy Spirit Who raised Jesus Christ from the dead
dwells within us and "takes a hold of against our
sickness" and together with us prays to our Heavenly Father
for our healing and deliverance!
"ALL
THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM THAT BELIEVETH"
The
Bible says, "All things are possible to him that
believeth". (Mark 9:23) The first truth we have
established is that your case is not too difficult for God and
there is a good possibility of your healing to take place We
have also established that God is able and willing to heal you -
to answer your prayers!
THE
BIBLE STATES THAT JESUS CAME TO BRING LIFE!
"The
thief cometh not but for to steal and to kill and destroy, but I
am come that they might have life and have it more
abundantly." (John 10:10)
Jesus
stated that the devil came for only three reasons; to steal, kill
and destroy! But Jesus came to bring life! The devil is
a thief and a murderer (John 8:44) and came only to do evil
(steal, kill and destroy). He came to rob you of your
happiness, joy, peace, health and blessing. He came to harm you
and finally destroy you in a hospital, insane asylum or prison.
The
devil is cruel, perverted, evil, wicked and ungodly. He can only
do evil. He has no capability to do good. The devil is the death
giver!
JESUS
IS 100% GOOD! He came to bring life. He came to bring
blessings to all who would believe. HE CAME TO BRING ABUNDANT
LIFE BECAUSE HE IS THE LIFE GIVER! Some people have given the
devil the credit for healing sick people - this is blasphemous and
utterly false. It is contrary to God's Word and accuses Jesus of
telling an untruth.
We
know that Jesus is the truth, the life and the way (John 14:6).
The Word of God is pure, divine and infallible!
JESUS
SAID THAT YOU CANNOT GET GOOD FRUIT FROM A CORRUPT TREE OR CORRUPT
FRUIT FROM A GOOD TREE. By their fruits we shall know them! Jesus
said a corrupt tree 'bringeth not forth good fruit'. (Matthew
7:18) It is against the law of a thorn tree to bring forth figs -
you can't get sweet water out of a fountain that is bitter.
HOW
COULD THE DEVIL, WHO IS COMPLETELY EVIL, BRING FORTH SOMETHING
THAT IS GOOD?
Jesus
called the devil a thief who came only to steal, kill and destroy.
He came to this earth for no other purpose! Jesus came to bring
life! Healing and health is life! Sickness and disease brings
death! The Bible classifies 'healing' as 'doing good'!
"How
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power,
Who went about doing good, healing all who were oppressed of the
devil." (Acts 10:38)
The
message is plain and simple: The devil made people sick but Jesus
made them well. Sickness comes from satanic sources and divine
healing has its origin in God! The literal Greek states that
Jesus Christ healed all those who "were under the dominion,
authority or lordship of Satan". That is God's Word -
Believe it and be healed;
IT
MAY APPEAR THAT WITCH DOCTORS AND OCCULTS MAY HEAL OR CURE BUT
BE NOT DECEIVED
Oh
I know there are times that it appears witch doctors and other
occultists may have affected cures by their incantations. Do
not be deceived. Satan is a deceiver and manipulator.
In the end, his involvement always brings enslavement, torment
& death.
The
magicians (witch doctors and soothsayers) of Egypt could duplicate
many of the miracles performed by Moses in the sight of Pharaoh
(king) of Egypt. There were two things they could not do, however.
#1
- They could not get rid of the plagues even though they could
duplicate Moses in bringing forth the flies and frogs. Moses had
to be called to get rid of the plagues: eg. darkness, flies,
frogs, lice, locusts. Interpretation: Satan can bring the cancer
but he has no power to heal the person from the death-dealing work
of the disease which he has brought. God is the only healer and
restorer!
#2
- When it comes to creating life, the magicians could not create
lice out of dust as Moses did in the Name of the Lord.
The
magicians said to Pharaoh, "This is the finger of God".
(Exodus 8:19) Here is the interpretation: Satan is a deceiver and
trickster but he has no power to do good, heal, save or create
life! All he can do is deceive, lie, steal and kill! Only
God can heal and create life and sustain it!
There
are some things you must do if you are to be healed. Study the
accounts of sick folk - in the Bible - who were healed, and if you
do what they did, you will certainly receive healing, because
Jesus Christ is no respecter of persons!
No.
1 - WORSHIP JESUS CHRIST!
There
is only ONE HEALER, Jesus Christ. He alone is the Great Physician.
Seek Him and worship Him, and turn from every known sin. Seek the
Healer and not the healing!
Focus
your attention on Jesus. Worship, praise and magnify His Name and
His love, forgiveness and healing will automatically flow into
you!
"And,
behold, there came a leper and worshipped Him, saying, Lord, if
Thou wilt, Thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth His hand,
and touched him, saying, I will, be thou clean. And immediately
his leprosy was cleansed". (Matthew 8:2-3)
PEOPLE
WHO SEEK ONLY A HEALING, MIRACLE OR ANSWERS TO PRAYER
WITHOUT WORSHIPPING GOD - WILL BE GREATLY DISAPPOINTED
By
seeking God through Jesus Christ, you will establish a vital
contact with the Great Physician and receive your miracle and
answers to your prayers. People who seek only a healing or a
miracle or answers to prayers without worshipping God, will be
greatly disappointed
ALWAYS
REMEMBER, KNOWING GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST AND THE BLESSED HOLY
SPIRIT - WITHOUT BEING HEALED PHYSICALLY - IS FAR MORE
ADVANTAGEOUS THAN GETTING ONLY A PHYSICAL MIRACLE WITHOUT
RECEIVING JESUS CHRIST AS SAVIOUR AND LORD!
Jarius
was in a desperate situation. His daughter was at the point of
death when he decided to seek out the Master. Here is the Bible
account.
While
He spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain
ruler, and worshipped Him, saying, My daughter is even now dead:
but come and lay Thy hand upon her, and she shall live. And Jesus
arose, and followed him, and so did His disciples.
"And,
behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve
years, came behind Him, and touched the hem of His garment: For
she said within herself, If I may but touch His garment, I shall
be whole. But Jesus turned Him about, and when He saw her, He
said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee
whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour."
"And
when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and
the people making a noise, He said unto them, Give place: for the
maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed Him to scorn. But
when the people were put forth, He went in, and took her by the
hand, and the maid arose." (Matt. 9:18-25)
CANAANITE
WOMAN WORSHIPS JESUS!
"And,
behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried
unto Him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my
daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But He answered her not
a word. And His disciples came and besought Him, saying, Send her
away; for she crieth after us." But He answered
and said, "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house
of Israel." Then came she and worshipped Him, saying,
"Lord, help me."
But
He answered and said, "It is not meet to take the children's
bread, and to cast it to dogs." And she said, "Truth,
Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their
masters' table." Then Jesus answered and said unto her,
"O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou
wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour."
(Matt. 15:22-28)
The
Bible states, "And as they went to tell His disciples.
behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held
him by the feet, and worshipped Him." (Matthew 28:9)
GOD
HEARS THE PRAYERS AND ANSWERS THE PRAYERS OF THOSE WHO WORSHIP HIM
Without
doubt, God hears your prayers and God answers the prayers of those
who worship Him. And all who are saved and healed by God's power
WILL desire to worship Him!
The
blind man whom Jesus healed is a good example of that fact:
"Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had
found him, He said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
He answered and said, Who is He, Lord, that I might believe on
Him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen Him, and it is
He that talketh with thee."
"And
he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped Him". (John
9:35-38)
To
the Samaritan woman, Jesus said, "But the hour cometh, and
now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in
spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in
spirit and in truth". (John 4:23-24)
No.
2 - HUMBLE YOURSELF!
Pride
is a gigantic hindrance to receiving divine healing! "But He
answered and said it is not meet to take the children's bread, and
to cast it to dogs.
And
she said, truth, Lord, yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall
from their master's table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her,
O woman, great is thy faith, be it unto thee even as thou wilt.
And her daughter was made whole from that very hour."
(Matthew 15:26-28)
Here
is the account of a Canaanite woman humbling herself in the sight
of God. When she did, Jesus granted her request! Her daughter was
healed!
ANOTHER
GOOD EXAMPLE OF HOW GOD REWARDS HUMILITY IS FOUND IN THE HEALING
ACCOUNT OF NAAMAN
"So
Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the
door of the house of Elisha. And Elisha sent a messenger unto him,
saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall
come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
But
Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He
will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the
Lord his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the
leper. Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than
all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So
he turned and went away in a rage.
And
his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father,
if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not
have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash,
and be clean?"
"Then
went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according
to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like
unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean." (2 Kings
5:9-14)
Many
people believe that they will receive something from God because
of WHO THEY ARE OR THINK THEY ARE! We do not receive
healing because we are worthy, but because we are needy. And Jesus
Christ met that need nearly 2000 years ago on the cross!
WE
RECEIVE HEALING FROM GOD BECAUSE OF HIS GRACE AND MERCY AND
BECAUSE OF HIS WORD - NOT BECAUSE WE DESERVE IT - HEALING IS A
GIFT
It
is only because of His great liberality to us by sending His Son
Jesus Christ, to die in our place and purchase our salvation, that
we receive forgiveness and divine healing from His gracious and
loving land!
We
must never forget that forgiveness, divine healing, the gifts and
graces of God which He bestows upon us are simply that - gifts of
God's mercy to us!
No.
3 - BELIEVE IN GOD'S INTEGRITY, ABILITY AND WILLINGNESS
TO KEEP HIS PROMISES TO US
Believe
that God's Word is absolutely true and that it will never pass
away! The Heavens and the Earth will pass away, but God's Word
will stand forever. (Matthew 24:35) God's Word is as pure
and divine as God Himself (John 1:1-4).
THE
HOLY SCRIPTURES ARE GOD'S WORD!
The
Lord God Almighty is back of His Word, and it will never fail (1
Kings 8:56). God has placed His Word above His Name (Psalm 138:2).
His Word has gone out of His mouth in righteousness and will not
return void.
"So
shall My word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not
return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." (Isaiah
55:11)
God
will perform every Word He has spoken. "Then said the Lord
unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten My word to perform
it." (Jeremiah 1:12) "So shall My word be that
goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but
it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in
the thing whereto I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11) Believe that
God's Word is the final authority and that IT IS GOOD TODAY!
Then, appropriate His Word to yourself, for your own individual
need!
Jesus
said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath
anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, He hath sent me to
heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and
recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are
bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." (Luke
4:18-20)
The
Bible says, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by
the Word of God." (Romans 10:17) Jesus asked two blind
men, "Believest thou that I am able to do this (heal
them)?" They answered, "Yea, Lord."
Then
Jesus touched their eyes saying, "According to your faith be
it unto you", and they were instantly healed!
Jesus
said, "If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him
that believeth". (Mark 9:23)
"Believe
Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe
Me for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He
that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and
greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.
And
whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the
Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in
My name, I will do it." (John 14:11-14)
No.
4 - TAKE GOD AT HIS WORD!
The
Bible says, "...if thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice
of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in His sight,
and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes,
I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought
upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord that healeth thee."
(Exodus 15:26)
Jesus
promised: 'Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall
find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that
asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that
knocketh it shall be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8)
"When
the even was come, they brought unto Him many that were possessed
with devils: and He cast out the spirits with His word, and HEALED
ALL THAT WERE SICK: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by
Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare
our sicknesses." (Matthew 8:16-17)
Seven
hundred years before His birth in Bethlehem, the Holy Spirit
promised divine healing through the Coming Messiah!
"But
He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with
His stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5)
Here
is the beginning of the fulfillment of that prophecy: "Who
His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we,
being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by Whose
stripes ye were healed." (1 Peter 2:24)
There
are three very important spiritual laws which Jesus Christ gave
His Church:
The
Law of Binding & Loosing
The
Law of Agreement
The
Law of God's Presence
These
three laws, when acted upon in faith, bring divine healing and
total deliverance to those who call upon the Lord in sincerity and
trust!
"Verily
I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound
in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed
in heaven.
Again
I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as
touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them
of My Father which is in heaven.
"For
where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in
the midst of them." (Matthew 18:18-20)
The
Law of Binding & Loosing is found in Matthew 18:18
The
Law of Agreement is contained in Matthew18:19.
The
Law of God's Presence is written in Matthew 18:20.

Laws of God & Divine Healing"!

5 - RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR HEALER
Confess
to the Lord that you Believe His Word and that you Know He is your
Healer!
Concur
with the Scriptures. Agree with Jesus Christ, that you Accept His
promises as true and infallible! Confess to Him that you Believe
that 'By His Stripes you are Healed'.
Then,
Thank Him for healing you and for answering your prayers.
Trust the Lord for complete deliverance. Relax and get well for
according to His Word, He has healed you.
The
Bible says, "Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him;
and He shall bring it to pass". (Psalm 37:5)
Jesus
said, "Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye
desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall
have them". (Mark 11:24) Jesus Christ promises that he
will hear and answer your prayers.
YOU
MAY RECEIVE AN IMMEDIATE ANSWER TO YOUR PRAYERS. YOU MAY BE
HEALED SUDDENLY OR YOU MAY BEGIN TO AMEND AS ALSO HAPPENED IN THE
MINISTRY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST!
"Then
enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said
unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. So the
father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said
unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole
house." (John 4:52-53)
READ
WITH JOY THESE WORDS OF LIFE: "Is any sick among you? let
him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him,
anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of
faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if
he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Confess
your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may
be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man
availeth much". (James 5:14-16)
You
may receive divine healing in one of various ways - through the
laying on of hands, anointing with oil, prayer of agreement or
praying alone to our Heavenly Father in Jesus' dear Name, in your
home!
IT
DOESN'T MATTER WHICH WAY GOD HEALS YOU, SO LONG AS YOU ARE HEALED
Give
God all the glory. Share with others what God has done so that you
may rejoice together and glorify the Name of Jesus. Remember,
Jesus said in Mark 9:23 - "ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM
THAT BELIEVETH".
Allow
me now to offer a prayer to God on your behalf.
Kind
Heavenly Father, I pray in Jesus' Name that you will extend Your
hand of mercy, forgiveness and divine healing right now to each
and everyone who is reading this booklet.
Upon
the authority of God's Word, by the blood of the everlasting
covenant, through the eternal Spirit of God and in Jesus' all
powerful Name, I command Satan to take his hands off each one
reading this booklet now!
Every
evil spirit of torment, infirmity and unrighteousness must leave
NOW, in Jesus' Name.
Heavenly
Father, please lay your healing hand on the sick, infirm and
sinful right now and save, heal and deliver them all.
THANK
YOU LORD. I BELIEVE IT IS DONE AND I PRAISE YOU IN JESUS' HOLY
& PRECIOUS NAME. Amen.
DON'T
QUIT
Just Try Again!
by:
Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.
This
life doesn't offer many free lunches or instant success. Our
journey on planet earth is mostly a series of trials, errors and
hard work. Life is hard on this earth and living this life
comes with many obstacles and success is hard to obtain.
Often success only comes on the heels of
disappointment and failure. We live in a real world, with very few
born into instant money, privilege and position. Sometimes its
very hard to have positive thinking when it seems that life brings
nothing but problems.
For most of us, life is a day-to-day
'bump and grind' existence, with only a minuscule
chance of winning a Lottery and living the fantasy life projected
on TV commercials.
Hard work has never hurt anyone and a
little strain, stress and sweat is really quite healthy. Hard work
can make you positive, it can give you a personal satisfaction and
will only lead to success in anything you do.
The old adage,
'If at first you
don't succeed, try, try, try again', is good advice
indeed. To succeed, you can't give up - you must try, try again.
Abraham Lincoln ran for public office several
times and was defeated. He did not give up and finally was elected
President of the USA and became renowned as one of
America's greatest leaders. Abraham Lincoln did not give
up, and he had success.
Theologian Dr. Kenneth Taylor sought in vain
for a publisher to print his new paraphrase of the Holy Bible. He
organized Tyndale House Publishers and has sold more than 35
million copies of the Living Bible. Try, try again, you will
succeed.
Science fiction writer Frank Herbert who
authored the galactic epic Dune was turned down by 20 publishers
before his manuscript was finally accepted. His book has sold more
than 12 million copies.
If we turn our mistakes and failures into
stepping stones rather than stumbling blocks, the experiences we
go through are reversed from negative to positive. We can learn
from our mistakes and failures and not make those mistakes again.
Turn to God in prayer and ask him to turn your thoughts to
positive thinking mode. Ask God for hope and peace and a
positive attitude.
But if we take the low road of complaining,
sulking and blaming people, it becomes a long-term aggravation
that eats like a cancer. A positive attitude and positive thinking
can encourage others, it can create hope to the hopeless.
The Bible says,
"As a man thinketh in
his heart, so is he". Here's a poem that reinforces
that trut.
ALL IN THE STATE OF
MIND
If you
think you're beaten, you are; If you think you dare, you don't.
If you'd like to win, but you think you can't, It's almost a cinch you
won'.
If you think you'll lose, you've
lost, For out in the world you find,
Success begins with a fellow's thoughts, It's all in the state of
mind.If you think you're outclassed, you
are; You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of yourself before, You can ever win a
prize.
Life's
battles don't always go to the stronger or faster man;
But sooner or later the man who wins, is the fellow who thinks he
can.
St. Paul stated emphatically:
"I
can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me".
(Phil. 4:13) You must change your attitude from feeling
thinking there is no hope, to a positive way of thinking.
Jesus Christ can give you hope, peace, joy, financial success,
success with relationships, family. A happy, positive person
draws others to him like a magnet.
And Jesus said: "All
things are possible to him that believes". (Mark
9:23) "And Jesus looking upon them saith, With me it is
impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are
possible." (Mark 10:27)
We must come to God, in simple faith, believing
that Christ's victory over Satan, death and Hell has
purchased our freedom. We are entitled to success, we are entitled
to happiness. God has promised us these things, but we must
work hard to achieve them and not give up. Do not be
discouraged, begin with some positive thinking and prayer and
believe that your life will change.
The Bible says,
"Forasmuch then as the
children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself
likewise took part of the same; that through death He might
destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the
devil". (Heb. 2:14)
Jesus said: "Ask,
and it shall be given you; seek and you shall find; knock and it
shall be opened unto you: For everyone that asks receives; and he
that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened".
(Matt. 7:7-8)
Here are four things that most people are
concerned about.
PEACE OF
MIND:
This comes through the knowledge of salvation, with the
forgiveness of sins and the removing of guilt. Jesus said: "My peace I give unto you". (John 14:27; Rom. 5:1;
8:1)
PROTECTION OF
ONE'S HOME & FAMILY: The Bible says: "There
shall no evil befall you and no plague shall come nigh unto your
dwelling". (Ps. 91:10) The angels of God protect His people
."Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the
Lord delivereth him out of them all." (Psalm 34:19)
SECURITY FOR ONE'S
JOB - The Bible tells us not to be concerned about tomorrow
for He shall bless us with abundance. If we put Him first, He has
promised to prosper and bless the work of our hands. (Matt. 6:33;
Luke 6:38)
CONTINUED GOOD HEALTH -
When Jesus died on the cross, He purchased our healing, for the
Bible states: "He was wounded for our transgressions
...and with His stripes we are healed". (Isaiah 53:4-5)
"When the even was come, they brought
unto Him many that were possessed with devils: and He cast out the
spirits with His Word, and healed all that were sick: That it
might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses." (Matt.
8:16-27)
The key is in not giving up. We must have
positive thinking and we must have faith. When we pray and ask God
for help, we must believe 100% that it will happen. Then we
must get out there and Try, and try and try again until with the
help of God we do succeed. We must ask in prayer for our need,
seek His Word for an answer and keep knocking till we receive.
That's real faith!
HOW
CAN I BE SAVED?
God
is able, ready & willing to deliver you!
by: Pastor Max Solbrekken,
D.D.
Jesus
said, "Come unto Me all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest." (Matthew
11:28)
Yes,
my dear friend, God is still in the business of setting men and
women free from their sins, sorrows, heartbreaks, fears and
troubles.
In
this age of frustrations, nervous tensions and mental collapses,
Jesus Christ is still granting peace to the troubled, joy to the
discouraged, strength to the weary and healing to the sick.
HOW
CAN I BE SAVED?
1.
ACKNOWLEDGE
your sinful state (Romans 3:23, Isaiah 53:6)
2. BELIEVE
the Gospel (Acts 16:30-31; John 3:26)
3. REPENT
of your sins (Luke 13:3; Isaiah 55:7)
4. RECEIVED
Christ as your Saviour (John 3:16; Revelation 3:20; 1 John 5:12)
5. CONFESS
Him as your Lord (Romans 10:9-10; Mark 8:34-38)
JESUS
CHRIST CAME INTO THE WORLD ON A HOLY MISSION !
"For
God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that
the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:17)
Jesus
declared, "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save
that which was lost." (Luke 19:10)
Jesus
Christ said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no
man cometh unto the Father, but by Me". (John 14:6)
Salvation
is totally a WORK OF GRACE, but we must be sincere in our
prayers and believe in Jesus Christ's willingness to keep His
Word; which He always does. Jesus Christ offers salvation
and gift of salvation is free to all who accept it. If
you wish to be saved you must:
No.
1 - Acknowledge your lost state!
The
Bible says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the
glory of God". (Romans 3:23) "All we like sheep have
gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord
hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all." (Isaiah 53:6)
No.
2 - Believe the Gospel
"That
whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal
life. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that
believeth not is condemned already." (John 3:15,18)
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My word, and
believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall
not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto
life." (John 5:24)
No.
3 - REPENT of your sins
The
Bible says, "except ye repent, ye shall all likewise
perish." (Luke 13:3) "Let the wicked forsake his way
and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the
Lord, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will
abundantly pardon". (Isaiah 55:7)
No.
4 - Receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour
The
Bible says: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not
perish, but have everlasting life". (John 3:16)
"Behold,
I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open
the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he
with Me." (Revelation 3:20) "He that hath the Son
hath life: and he that hath not the Son of God hath not
life." (1 John 5:12)
No.
5 - Confess Jesus Christ as your LORD
The
Bible says: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised
him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation". (Romans 10:9-10)
"Also
I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him
shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the
angels of God." (Luke 12:8,9)
Dear
friend, be assured that God will keep His Word,
for He said:
"Come
unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest." (Matthew 11:28) "Jesus stood and cried,
saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink."
(John 7:37)
"Come
now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins
be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red
like crimson, they shall be as wool." (Isaiah 1:18)
After
you have prayed to God asking Him to forgive you - then you must
believe He has heard your prayer and forgiven your sins. That is
faith. You say that is hard to do. No - it isn't.
If
you believe that God told the truth and the Bible is God's word -
God will do what He said He would do. If you have prayed the
sinner's prayer asking God to forgive you, (then he has forgiven
you; His word tells you that and His word is the truth) and if you
are forgiven, then you are saved.
You
must then continue to live in God's way - you must live for God.
Believe that you are saved, begin to praise and worship God and
thank him for saving your soul.
But
you have doubts and say, "I don't feel any different."
You say you still feel the way you did before, you don't feel like
you are saved.
Always
remember, you are NOT SAVED by your feelings, you are saved by
FAITH IN GOD'S WORD. If God said it - it is the truth, whether you
feel like it or not. However, when you stand of God's word and by
faith accept the Salvation that God offers, you WILL FEEL
DIFFERENT.
Please
write to me and let us know of your decision to serve the Lord!
And what He has done for you. Always remember, Jesus loves you and
wants too forgive, heal, bless and prosper you.
DEAR
FRIEND: Please write with your prayer requests. We
will pray for you and I will write you back! When you write,
please ask for a free prayer cloth over which we have prayed with
faith in Jesus' Name, for your deliverance and salvation.
- Pastor Max Solbrekken
HOW
DO I INVITE
JESUS CHRIST INTO MY LIFE?
Pray
to God, a prayer - from your heart.
Tell Him that you
are a sinner and that you need forgiveness. Tell him that
you believe Jesus Christ died for your sins. Tell him that
you are willing to change, to turn away from sin. Ask Jesus
Christ to come into your heart and life and be your personal
Saviour.
"But
as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons
of God, even to them that believe on his name." (John 1:12)
"Therefore
if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2
Corinthians 5:17)
If
you prayed and ask Jesus Christ into your heart - YOU HAVE NOW
RECEIVED THE GIFT OF SALVATION - YOU HAVE BECOME A CHILD OF GOD.
God Bless You.
